We have Bugaboo Fox Cub, and same. It takes soo much space, I honestly liked the cot for when she was a newborn, but now with sport seat I understand I made a mistake. It's just so huge to deal with. Had to buy a travel buggy now that our baby can sit up. Wish we went with Cybex Melio instead, cuz newborn phase is over sooo fast. 🥲

If you want it to be compact on planes, definitely the Cybex Libello. It can fold up enough to fit under a plane seat, plus it has the highest weight limit of any stroller I found so far (22kg, which is great because my son would sometimes just be too tired to walk after a long vacation day) edit: a 2mo old baby hmm, the Libello wouldn’t be good cause the seat doesn’t lay flat. The Cybex Melio can, and while it’s super light, it definitely doesn’t fold. … Maybe just babywear? Strollers are kind of a PITA anyway.

It might be out of your budget but we use the Cybex Melio Carbon. We just shifted the government's baby subsidies around and paid cash for ours. I'm sure the other Cybex are good too. It's the best honestly, it's a tank, super light move around easy and hold all kinds of groceries or bags under so you're not caring it around. And it has A and B type function. We already shipped it between 6 airplanes, including an international trip to USA. You can use the stroller in the airport (tho Haneda, just check it early and use the airport stroller), and just Pink tag/Gate Tag it before you board. Highly recommend testing them all out at Toysrus or Akachan Honpo, I feel like it's best to find the one you like.

We used the [Cybex Melio Carbon](https://www.cybex-online.com/en/jp/p/st-go-melio-carbon-5.html) from when our son was born to age 3. It folds well when you don't have any attachments on it, but going around the city we often did. However, I never took it on a plane, and [at least one Amazon review](https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Amazon-co-jp-Exclusive-Stroller-Original-Reflector/dp/B0D5D16K2K?th=1) says it's too large for a carry-on. I would suggest if you have a large Akachan-Honpo, Babies R Us, or equivalent nearby to go try out the different models.

I’m in the same boat!! I just went to look at some today. My brother is giving us their lightly used Graco car seat with a basic click in stroller for quick newborn outings, so I feel better splurging on a nicer stroller for long term as long as it will be versatile. We don’t have a garage or anywhere to store it in our house so I want something that folds very compact. I also want it to have parent facing and world facing options, which limits a lot of the smaller travel type strollers. I’m looking at the Nuna Triv, Nuna Swiv, and Joolz Hub 2 primarily. I was able to go look at the Nunas today along with the Maxi Cosi Tayla, Uppababy Cruz, and Cybex Balios/Melos. They had bugaboo there too but those are more than I’m wanting to spend and the Fox is bigger than I’m wanting anyway. The Nunas weight, folding mechanism, and folded size were FAR superior than any others and I am heavily leaning that direction. It was just so smooth and easy and compact on both of them. The Mixx was gigantic to me and the folded package was cumbersome to deal with. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find anywhere with Joolz Hub2, but it looks very similar to the Triv and reviews say it’s more durable. The Swiv was ever so slightly bigger than the Triv but felt a little sturdier and less like a travel stroller, and I don’t feel like the extra 1-2 lbs was that big of a deal compared to the trade off you get for more storage basket space and what feels like more durability. However the Triv has more suspension and better wheels for all terrain, so I’m torn on that. The only hesitation I have with Nuna is the way the lady at the store talked about them. She said she herself would never buy one because they aren’t made as well as others of the same price point and the warranty is crap (2 years but limited to things that probably wouldn’t break anyway). She was really pushing the Cybex models but they just didn’t have the same smooth and compact fold and I didn’t like the buckles and seat material as much as the Nunas (the magnetic buckle was awesome). The Joolz Hub2 has a 10 year warranty and it has a toddler ride on board you can attach later on which makes it more versatile than the Nunas in my eyes. Not looking to get a double but having a little bit of flexibility with another kid when making such an expensive purchase feels nice. I just wish I could get my hands on it to compare! I’m almost leaning Joolz just due to the warranty and supposed durability. There’s just not as much info out there about them from people who have bought them. I went to Nordstrom, a local baby store, and Pottery Barn kids, which could be an option where you live! I’m also looking into the bassinet options with the Nuna and Joolz and that’s getting me stuck (nuna is expensive and Joolz doesn’t have a stand to use at home) so I might just opt out of using these strollers with a tiny newborn and just baby wear/use the car seat click on stroller when needed. I think past 4-6 months old these will have a lot of longevity so trying to think long term and not get a bunch of accessories I don’t need. Sorry for the info dump but tried to be detailed since you can’t see them in person!

Yes it was not easy! The lady recommended removing the seat to make it easier which is annoying when folding with the seat is sold as a great feature, then it was awkward to pick the frame up to put it in the car. And they can be just as expensive!

Mine are 2 and 3 and we have 4 strollers still although we just sold out Vista double this year. We have a Veer XL wagon as well as two Cybex travel strollers. I also have kept our Doona since we plan to have a third baby

We went with Uppa baby vista v2 complete system as our primary stroller and stokke YoYo as travel stroller. In the process I had multiple trial & errors, exchanging etc to find what meets our needs. My learnings: 1. Don’t buy stroller too early, you want to be within exchange window once baby arrives and you use it on baby only to realize it’s not what you want. Pre-baby moms like me choose light weight medium stroller but the moment baby’s here, your feelings can change. You may want the sturdiest and comfiest one for baby over your own comfort. Happened with me so switched from nuna to UP vista v2 2. Terrains in your neighborhood and lifestyle are big consideration factor. If you hike, go on trails or plan to take stroller on uneven surfaces then heavy built stroller. 3. Safety considerations: Some stroller seats are harder shell while others are thick cloth with padding. I can’t imagine someone hitting stroller with vehicle but I once had a child lose control of bicycle and hit the stroller from side. LO didn’t feel anything other than a bump thanks to the hard shell of our seat. 4. Bassinet: Depends on your need, if you plan to be out walking the first 3 months more than an hour at a stretch then bassinet becomes useful. I was able to lead my usual pre baby lifestyle with frequent outdoor time because of bassinet. If you plan to mostly rest and recover with less outdoor trips then car seat attachment works. It does take space in trunk. 5. Baby’s size: If you have a heavy baby (not just chubby but actual 90 percentile above one) the light weight strollers aren’t useful for longer period. Example: I tried cybex & doona as travel alternative but both failed. Cybex travel stroller was so flimsy and would seem like it will break if baby tried to fight the stroller. Doona though it says 12-18 months, I borrowed for an international travel from a friend who has 12 months baby. My 9 month wasn’t fitting as he was big and it felt his shoulders were getting stuck. Travel strollers are best bought only once baby is here and the neck stabilizes.
