Based on 1 year's data from Mar 17, 2026 How it works
We have 3. The one we use the most is the uppababy vista. We got a jeep powerglyde because we go to a lot of baseball games and that one folds nicely under the seats. We also have a jeep scout double stroller because my friend has a baby one month older than mine and we babysit her frequently enough to use a double stroller. I think I have 3 due to unique circumstances but I’m sure you could get away with one
UppaBaby for the first year! When they were about 15mo we picked up a jeep side by side. I wanted them next to eachother and thought it would be easier for snack handling, watching siblings sports etc… but they’re 18mo now and I have gone back to using the Uppa. Turns out they like to attack each other when they are next to each other 😅 the Uppa is also MUCH easier to maneuver especially if we are shopping. I think when they are 2+ years we will start using the side by side more often.
I regret not getting my nice double stroller sooner. We dealt with the jeep double umbrella stroller until it was hard to steer. Then upgraded to the Zoey twin. Age gap is 18M
I had a graco that fit the carseats for them as newborns. When they got bigger i purchased the jeep destination ultralight stroller and LOVE IT. It fits through a standard doorway. Just took the twins grocery shopping in it today, pushed the stroller and pulled the cart all through walmart. We also have a wagon we use for bigger outings.
We initially got the graco duoglider. It was fine and did what we needed for the bucket seats, but folded very bulky and didnt drive the best. Around 10m i swirched ro the jeep destination double stroller which is much better for us. We use the wagon on "big" outings most of the time.
Mine were 20 months and I held off as long as I could because I didn’t wanna spend money on another stroller and didn’t know how much use it would get (my older one was in a phase of hating the stroller), but I’m so glad I got one. Side by side jeep. We’ve gotten a lot of use out of it. They’re 2 and 3.5 now and soooo many times has my 3 year old been tired and wants to go in the stroller.
Double stroller all the way. We live in a very walkable place in the city. We also used it for Disneyland, where your toddler might be doing a lot more walking than usual. Kids are 2 years apart. We still use it a lot. So helpful for when you have both kids solo. We got the Mockingbird at first but our littler one was always very heavy and at a certain point weight wise it just didn’t work out great. We ended up switching to the Jeep double and are very happy with it. Not crazy expensive either, there are a ton of those at Disneyland! We also ended up getting a wagon for when we go to the playground, but the double is much easier to maneuver.
We got Summer stroller 3D lite, baby trend sit n stand and Jeep scout double stroller (one was a gift and the other from a garage sale). The Jeep is the worst one - very flimsy and poor strap structure!! The Baby Trend one we used the first year but it’s so clunky for daily use to and from daycare - from the classroom doors to the car. We love the Summer one. It’s great for daily use and has held up well, can feel the quality even though it was only $120.
I use my double constantly with a 24 month gap. I have the uppababy vista which is my go to right now and while it’s annoying having to assemble all the parts each time, it move well and does exactly what I need it to do (plus happy it’s compatible with both the bassinet and the car seat. Once my baby can sit in a regular stroller I am going to use my side by side jeep and can’t wait! I also love my veer wagon and use that regularly (compatible with car seat and bassinet with an attachment)
Convertible strollers are a pain because you have to take the whole thing apart and put it back together every time you need to get your kids in and out of the car. The toddler looks ridiculous in the smaller seat that is basically touching the floor. I have the uppababy vista and I’ve used it once when I had my daughter and my nephew. I reach for my veer wagon whenever I have both of them, it’s much more practical. I’m pregnant with #2 and seriously doubt I’ll be reaching for my vista nearly as much as either my side by side jeep stroller (bought cheap second hand) or my veer wagon but we will see.
Yes. I've tried a few. The side by side umbrella by jeep is my go to. I used the baby carrier one at first it was awful. Soon as she could sit i changed. The best is baby carrier stroller and have ur other one walk with a leash. Im 44 with 2 under 2. They if he runs, and I can't run after them. OH and make sure its a harness one to hold them in not just at the wasit.
Concur with options being the best. My recommendation is a used donkey (we bought one for $175 and are probably another $200 in with some new attachments, new canopy, sprucing up the wheels, etc). Especially the first few months when you’re using the bassinets you only need one stroller IMO. But after that…we then got a cheap double umbrella (jeep brand, maybe $80?) that has been great for its purpose. The bugaboo is great to push and a great full feature stroller but it’s IMO, noticeably bulky. We use the donkey for stroller walks, any outings or trips that require long walks, amusement parks, petting zoos, etc. Sure it fits through most doors but does it fit in between the tables at the restaurant? Does it fit in between the aisle at the store? Is it easy to get in and out of the car to go grab something from the store? Not really IMO, it’s noticeably larger than our umbrella width wise and we’ve had way more “ah we won’t fit” experiences with it compared to the umbrella. So the umbrella lives in our car for daycare drop offs, anytime we go to a restaurant, anything that is space constrained or we don’t anticipate a long time in the stroller. Maybe something like the mountain buggy duo is worth looking at to fill both rolls, but I remember it being pricy and not having as good of a second hand market.
