Yeah, what is a good stroller for one family can be a terrible one for another. Fe. We have a Emmaljunga NXT90, which we love - we don't have a car, walk a ton since we have dogs, the winters get intense and our kids are 2,5 years apart. A sturdy stroller with large wheels is a must, and a double stroller would have been entirely unnecessary ä. But for a family that drives a lot and kids with a small age gap? Nope, that stroller would have been useless. The large wheels can be a pain when packing the stroller to a car and you can't concert to a double. Many families get a second stroller quickly because they want a travel stroller that is easy to pack in; but most of those require baby to be sitting, which they can't do before ~6 months even with support. It's also baby dependant - our second hated the stroller with passion until we could switch the bassinet to a seat. We babywore him most of the time until then.
We used to have an Emmaljunga NXT90F, but got a Bugaboo Donkey when we had our second. The Bugaboo is sooo much better than the Emmaljunga (sad to say, because I would have liked to support the Swedish brand). The best feature of the Bugaboo is it can be pushed and steered one-handed. When buying groceries that’s pretty much a must have.
the yoyo is light weight with the newborn attachment you can use it from birth. It can do some bumpy paths but not as good as a full size stroller. Its super easy to travel with. If I had to have only one stroller for my baby this is the stroller I would get. Its wonderful for a toddler and adequate for a newborn. It is a more expensive compact stroller but still under your budget even with adding on the newborn seat. It is one of the sturdier compact travel strollers but its still a travel stroller so you're not going to get the suspension of a proper full size stroller If you want a full size stroller which is going to be heavier and not as small a fold as a compact stroller- but it will have good suspension, be more comfortable for a little baby with a true bassinet and nicer for a napping toddler plus a large enough storage backet to hold your shopping. I think you cannot go wrong with a emmaljunga with carrycot and flat seat. I like the flat seat because toddler can nap lying down. It pushes like a dream. the carrycot is so nice for baby and I think all of the newer models have storage pocket in the carrycot too. They also have reflector tape so it makes it safer for walking at night You should be able to have a fair variety to pick from used depending on what country you're in. I've had several different emmaljunga models with different babies and the only complaint I've had is that I've passed them onto other mothers and had to get another one for a new baby! They have magic nap powers my kids always sleep best in them The bugboo fox is very popular full size and pushes great, isn't compact but the folding is smooth. The carrycot is very nice but personally I don't like that the seat doesn't lie flat but that ergo style of seat is very popular for a lot of stroller makers so some people must like it. Its been out for awhile and gets good reviews so you should be able to find used if you'd like as well Basson nordic lux also looks very nice but I don't have experience with them but the reviews I did find when I was looking were good Honestly unless you need to fold up the stroller a lot I like a full size stroller until baby is 12-18 months for my daily stroller - they sleep so well in a full size stroller with good suspension. Plus I can walk and get my shopping done. Then get a smaller travel stroller for times when I am traveling and shorter trips. I do still use the full size stroller for longer walks until baby is 2 and then at that point I just use the light weight stroller sorry that was long!
Hade en Emmaljunga och den var tjockt najs!
We had an Emmaljunga when the kids were younger. It was great!
We have an Emmaljunga and the quality is amazing. We love our stroller (+bassinet). We have tried other brands, but to us it is the sturdiest, so we ended up sticking to it.
I got Emmaljunga stroller for like 20€ at a second hand store and another random Polish brand stroller set for free from SIL. There is no need to buy a new stroller, especially some $1000 one. There are sooo much baby staff people want to get rid of because most of it gets so little use. Search second hand.
+1 for emmaljunga. They will be used by your grandkids, when they have kids. Thule is also great alternative.
