I'm really surprised by the amount of people recommending using carseat strollers. Baby can't lie flat in those! They are not recommended as your every day stroller, you need a bassinet attachment. Personally, we went with the evenflo 360, had a cheap bassinet stroller (bugaboo) and then switched to joolz aer once baby could sit up comfortably.
We have the evenflo Omni and I really like it. There were 2 problems we had with it: 1- was the wheels squeaked like crazy but a little wd40 has fixed it and we never had the issue again. 2- was it was hard to line up the car seat to put into the stroller handles (compared to the Graco jogger I had with my first where it was easy to set it down). But it was a minor hassle and we mostly used it as a bassinet or stroller instead Best things were: - could face forwards or backwards - bassinet which I used for diaper changes up to age 2 in public places - car seat didn’t make baby as sweaty as the Graco ones (more breathable) - easy to install car seat - big basket
We have the Evenflo Omni travel system for our January 2025 baby. I used it for walks at indoor walking tracks from like february-april and then we've been using it outside since then. My baby was 8lbs5oz at birth and is now 18+lbs at 6 months and she is HARD to carry in her bucket seat so we plan to switch her to her Graco 4ever in a few weeks, at which point we'll still use the travel system stroller for her, but not with the bucket seat. My oldest, however, was only like 12 or 13lbs at 6 months so I feel like carrying her would've been fine at this point, so how much use you get out of the system totally depends on your baby's size. My main complaint about the stroller system is that the mechanism that clicks the bucket seat into the stroller is SO finicky. Eventually we got the hang of it but good lord I've spent PLENTY of time in parking lots looking like an idiot trying to click that thing into place. And it feels like every once in awhile, as she gains more weight, it gets finicky again. It's not the total end of the world, but definitely annoying. For the price, overall we've liked the system.
My first was born in 2020 so we couldn't go anywhere and I baby wore on walks outside so we didn't get a stroller that first year. We ended up getting a cheap safety 1st jogger stroller when she was like 18m for wintertime use and it was fine but the front tire got caught on something and broke. We bought an uppababy minu for travelling when she was 3. We still use it for easy use but I agree it's not great for snow. We then had my second in January 2025 and got an Evenflo travel system from our baby shower. We still use the stroller part because it's fine in slush and snow and the under seat storage is way better than th minu. So we basically use the minu when we need something compact and light and the Evenflo when we need to get through winter conditions or need the storage. So across two kids and 5 years we've had 3 strollers but none of them have been stellar.
Where do you live? How much snow is there? How much do you plan to walk with the stroller. What my husband and I did was buy the Even flo omni travel system for the first 6 months of our baby’s life. He was born early spring. We got it on sale for $400 which was cheaper than a lot of the infant car seats we were looking at. We live in downtown Ottawa, we are walking with the stroller all the time, so we knew the omni system wouldn’t work during the winter. Once our son outgrew the infant car seat and winter was in full swing we gave away the omni system and then just got one of those 4Ever car seats and the Nuna mixx stroller. Doing this ended up being nearly $500 cheaper than buying the full Nuna travel system.
I wished I didn't prioritize a stroller because we bought the NUNA TRVL one and my daughter LOATHES being in the stroller (or pretty much anything that keeps her contained) so we were only really able to use it for less than a year (though now my brother is having a baby and we can finally dump the stroller there). We got our stroller because of the easy close and the compatibility with our infant car seat and we don't regret doing so. Though on our next baby (whenever that may be), we're thinking of trying out Evenflo because I have their revolve360 and I'm loving the brand and customer service.
I went with the Evenflo 360 travel system. I’ve heard mixed reviews but I use mine on a daily basis and have never had an issue with it for 5 months. It came with 360 car seat, bassinet and stroller. Mine was on the pricier side because I got the sensory sooth feature but they have cheaper options that always go on sale!
