I really love our evenflo pivot modular travel system. It’s affordable and does everything we need it to do. It’s easy to lift in and out of the back of my car and I can fold/unfold quickly. It’s not super fancy but it gets the job done!
Highly recommend anything Evenflo. I really liked the Pivot Modular Travel System. If your planning I’m having more kids sooner than later the Pivot Xpand Modular Travel System is amazing!
I second the Evenflo Pivot systems! They are comparable to luxury brands but are a fraction on the price! We loved ours with our first, and are planning to use it again with our second!
We ended up with this once since it can go from car seat to stroller mode, and has a toddler seat mode as well although I'm 5'5 and it's a pretty tall stroller, since I wanted the baby closer so I didn't have to bend down as much. I'm not sure if it's going to be too bulky for you, but maybe there's a place that sells them in person where you can try them out? https://a.co/d/1ktAnu9
As someone also with adhd, asking for advice can sometimes come with a giant blurb of text, which becomes less helpful. I would get more suggestions than I originally had anyway. I know it sucks, but there’s tons of strollers because it’s so personalized to your needs. There are way too many factors. In the end, I said screw research and went with the cool one that let me have a dog in the bottom basket (with a doggy ramp!) (Evenflo pivot troop.) If they’re highly rated, then good—my baby can’t tell the difference—only I can. This “screw it decision method” has worked out for us. FWIW, I had started an intense search on lightweight strollers before, and Jool lightweight is where I ended up for the brief period I researched. (Evenflo pivot troop is hella heavy but I am happy because I didn’t have to do more research. And it works.)
Get a travel system! The Evenflo Pivot Travel Modular system is great because it comes with the car seat, base, and stroller. The car seat pops on to the stroller, and then the other attachment can be a bassinet and then turn into a toddler seat! Car seat also should go up to 3 years! And super affordable
I paid $180 for the evenflo Pivot modular travel system. Came with a car seat and stroller. I really like it!
We originally bought the Evenflo Pivot Suite and hated it, and ended up selling it and buying a Baby Jogger City Mini used when my son was about 7 months old. I wish we would have gotten the City Mini from the beginning - it folds up easily, reclines almost flat, glides like a dream, handles different terrains well, and isn’t too heavy. It also takes up WAY less space in my trunk. My friends who live in NYC also love City Minis, so they’re good for city life. I believe they also have a bassinet attachment, and I know they have attachments for different brands of car seats.
Not a bougie recommendation but the Evenflo pivot has been great for my daughter (now 17 months). The bassinet attached converts into the stroller seat, which I appreciate not having to buy two different attachments! They have the whole travel system available for purchase (bought on Amazon). I would probably look into the Joie travel system if I was starting from scratch today, have heard great things!
Just fyi they are fairly flimsy and I was not comfortable using it past 6 months due to issues with it and fear of tipping. Just be careful. You can see my comment to see all the issues.
I regret our Evenflo travel system so avoid that. Honestly all Evenflo products. I’m on baby #2 and feel lost as well on what new system to pick.
The infant car seat attachment got stuck on the stroller part 3-4 times as well as getting stuck in the base in the car. It felt very flimsy as well. It starting squeaking a month or feel after using it which was not able to be fixed l. I was at the park and heard the same squeak and low and behold the same stroller was behind us. It claims to be able to be opened with one hand but would stuck in the closed position often so I would have to set the infant seat down to mess with it. Overall it was a cheap travel system and we got what we paid for. I saw other people saying the same thing on I think Mommit so I clearly didn’t do enough research at the time. I was pregnant and overwhelmed but now I need to find a better travel system for two. https://a.co/d/2WaN2I3 this is the stroller we have.
I would have found it really difficult without something to push the infant car seat around in. Shopping, dr appointments, meeting up with anyone, running into anywhere either requires you carry the infant seat or attach it to a stroller. Those seats are heavy with a baby in them. You can’t carry much anything else if you needed to. Also, your baby will likely fall asleep in their car seat and it’s much nicer to transfer the car seat to the stroller base so they can continue sleeping. Walking has also saved me as a mom truly. I needed to go for walks not only for to help lose baby weight but for my sanity. 2 years later and pregnant and still walk most days. A travel system is great! That is a base stroller with various attachments that you can use the infant car seat with and then use other seats with as they grow. You can use it for a while and then sell it. Do not the Evenflo pivot. It’s a POS. I also had an emergency c section and had a hard time carrying the infant car seat around for a bit. Can’t imagine carrying that and the diaper bag and my purse after a c section. You never know if you’ll need one.
I have the evenflo pivot and got it for a December baby. It isn’t awesome in the winter, but I liked it in the spring. I did like that I could use the bassinet or the car seat for quick outtings. I also used the bassinet for diaper changes when out and about. Depending on the size of your vehicle it could be bulky, I drove a coop so it was big but we made do. It folds decently and easily at least, the seat/ bassinet was big for my car though. I’ve been told getting a jogger style (3 wheels) is better for winter. I don’t know which works great though because I’ve just powered through with my evenflo (toddler is nearly 2 and we only use it for zoo trips now).
