Wagon stroller, but depends on which one. If I could go back, Iād get Evenflo Pivot Xplore Dreamz All-Terrain Stroller Wagon with Bassinet Insert. We love the Evenflo we have (non dreamz version.) yeah it kinda sucks to load myself when my husband isnāt there, and we couldnāt take it to Disneyland, but still worth it. Our family van is a sienna with the 3rd row seats removed, so we put the wagon in the van without folding it.
I hated my Vista. Used an Evenflo side by side and it did the job just fine. Got it on sale for $70 and really hated how much I spent on the Vista
Evenflo Xplore! I have 3u4 including 2u2. I can fit all three kids in the stroller by buying an infant insert that is installed on top of the wagon portion. Itās very compact, easily fits in my trunk, can be taken on runs/long walks. Iāve done two stroller 5k with itāone with two toddlers and another with two toddlers and a baby. Itās also all terrain so Iāve been able to comfortably roll it around on unpaved trails while also wheeling it around the pediatricianās office and exam rooms comfortably.
I have 3 if you count a wagon! I have the vista v2, Thule urban glide and evenflo explore pivot wagon. Use the vista the most because itās left in my car. Wagon is used a lot though. Thule not as much, but I do like it as a jogging stroller.
Agree with most of the comments here - buy car seats new, we have mostly had chicco āgrow with meā or āextend to fitā, and have a midrange main stroller and expensive wagon/stroller convertible thing. Have 5 and 2 y/o Baby jogger city jogger has been good, reliable, simple, we use plenty. Can get adapters to fit infant car seats. If you travel the one that converts to seat and stroller seems great, we donāt use it but have friends who rave about it- but itās also primarily for infant time. $50 Umbrella stroller ftw after that IMO, light and mobile and easy to gate check and carry or pack when folded. We went with a wagon when #2 came along, so far has been mostly a farmers market tool. We have Evenflo Pivot Explore, itās well made and good value but does not pack down/fold super compact so beware if space in the car is an issue. High chair we had a fancy one with #1, got the ikea simple one for #2 and definitely recommend simple ikea. Crib, canāt remember the brand but get a solid wood based one that the platform can be raised and lowered, AND it can convert from crib to toddler bed, where one side of it can be swapped out with a lower railing bed that they can get in/out of but you donāt need to worry about a constant roll out all the time. First used it for 3ish years and itās going strong for #2. The other stuff thatās worth investing in - decent monitor, donāt go wifi IMO - we have infant optics and theyāve been good, can pair them up with multiple etc. decent for travel too and you donāt need to worry about wifi, just a power source. Hatch sound machine products are great. Get a good diaper bag that works for you - one of the things youāll use the most - test some out loaded up with weight too bc you or partner will be wearing it all the time. Get a decent air purifier, humidifier (check how easy they are to clean), and diaper pail. Baby gates if you have stairs or open areas you want to restrict - retractable roll ones are very helpful, and can be used at bottom of stairs. Top of stairs find a metal one thatās secure. Comfy rocking chair like someone mentioned, youāll be spending a lot of time and probably rough periods there so worth it for your sanity. Good luck have fun!
We have the Pivot Xplore all-terrain. Canāt recommend it enough, awesome. Our 2 boys have out grown it, but its one of the best purchases weāve made for travel
