I'm using an Evenflo Dual Ride Shyft for carseat/stroller. The convenience is amazing! It's so nice not having to lug around a separate stroller. When people see me convert it from a carseat to stroller with the push of a button they think it's the coolest thing. My baby is 5.5 months and we're still using it. The only big con is it's heavy if you're using it in carrier mode with the wheels on. I have an Evenflo Revolve 360 on stand by when he outgrows the Dualride.
I love love love the Evenflo Dualride Shyft. The convenience of being able to instantly convert from carseat to stroller is amazing. I have a small car so I love not having to lug around a separate stroller. I will be sad when my son outgrows it.
I love love love the Evenflo Shyft. The convenience is amazing. My baby is 6 months now and I'm dreading the day he outgrows it because I love it so much.
Ooo I went on from rebel and ordered the Evenflo shyft dualride. SO CONVENIENT. I like it better than the full travel system I had with my fist. I think I got it for like $460 on there.
If you want something similar to the Doona, I suggest the Evenflo Shyft dual ride. It’s a bit higher so if you’re a taller guy you don’t have to bend down like the Doona. Also, I think it’s has more space for the LO. We used it for my son until he was a bit older than 1, and he’s on the higher percentile. Plan to use it for my daughter who’s due in a few months.
The snoo bassinet was worth every penny and I was able to use it for two kids and resell it once I was done. The momcozy bottle washer, veer wagon, way B pico, BOB jogging stroller, Nuna Travl and Evenflo dual shyft have all been lifesavers. These items were acquired across two kids btw.
Option C: Doona carseat or Evenflo Shyft. It's a car seat that you can take out and turns into a stroller. Pros: all in one system, convenient. Cons: heavy, short use- weight limit 4-35 lbs OR height up to 32" (doona). Price I feel is the same if you got a full blown stroller, infant car seat and then a convertible. I will say, ymmv because my baby is small and could actually have kept using until two, just passing 32" in length and still under weight limit. I also have fri nds who have larger babies and would have outgrown in less than 6 months.
I have the evenflo dual shyft - super similar to doona BUT I have the option to take the seat out of the stroller which is lovely!
