Live in Eastern Queens. Have a Vista and it’s a beast/huge. It’s like the SUV of strollers, used it through different neighborhoods in all 5 boroughs and different terrains outside the city during pumpkin and apple picking times/easy trails. When our kid was around 20 months we got a hand down GB Pockit stroller for the times she didn’t want to walk or for city/travel use. The smaller Cruz/Minu may be better for a one fits all solution.
r/nycparents • Stroller advice any recommendations? ->A 5.5 yr and 4 yr old with one more on the way. - City Select with 2 seats is my full stroller/all terrain - Thule Chariot 2 bike stroller/also a hiking stroller - Valco Duo Snap for side by side stroller - GB pockit that's a bit wonky so lives at grandparents as a spare - Babyzen Yoyo got as second hand travel stroller I am planning to use mainly for my new one - All purpose wagon that never intended to be a stroller but they all pile in
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->We love our gb pockit. Folds up easily, fit in the bin, and we still use it 3 years later for zoo trips! And it magically fits in our car seat with the cover bag on, if we check the car seat.
r/Mommit • Best Travel Stroller Roundup ->We have the gb pockit all city which is slightly heavier, but it’s been the daily workhorse for over 4 yrs now.
r/nycparents • In search of a unicorn travel stroller for a very physically weak mom (it’s me hi) ->I went with a gb pocket all city. It’s 2yrs old now and we’ve flown several times with it in the cabin, and I consider it our daily driver. I’m happy with it. The hammock was a little slouchy when my son was like 6-9 months, but not so much an issue once he got taller. I like that i can one hand push it, too.
r/nycparents • Will I Regret Not Getting a Bigger Stroller? ->I got the go pocket travel stroller especially for Italy. We travel there frequently and it is great on the cobblestone/ narrow streets. It's so great, we keep it in the car so we don't have to pack our big stroller. We now only use our big stroller around the burb. I would pack ONE stroller and make it a good one. Traveling with Littles means you pack a ton of stuff. Never travel with two strollers.
r/Mommit • Should we bring our main stroller to Italy? ->Second the gb pockit. It was the stroller of choice for both my kids.
r/nycparents • Will I Regret Not Getting a Bigger Stroller? ->We love the GB pockit + stroller. It's lightweight (I think 13lbs) and fits into the overhead compartment. We even found a travel backpack made specifically for it on Amazon. Very easy to open and close, can lay back, and had the umbrella hood.
r/bigbabiesandkids • Light weight travel stroller ->Depending on your lifestyle you can absolutely get by with just one, or even none. I do not have that kind of lifestyle😂. I had two for my first, a standard Graco stroller and an umbrella stroller. I would have been fine with just one, but the umbrella stroller was $5 and pink, turns out it's one of my favorite strollers still(Maclaren Volo). I have *so many* strollers now. I live in a crazy city, have two small kids, and one of them has Down Syndrome and is a runner, so strollers get used a lot in our daily lives. I actually have even more than 'my' strollers, because I pick up strollers people have thrown out and fix them up to donate(fix them up is a generous description, almost all they ever need is a wash). Also my husband's truck doesn't fit in our garage, so we have a lot of space for it all. I'm just going to list the ones we actually use.. A double and a single Bob, the single is from '09 and about to go, and we won't be replacing it. My husband runs with them, I use them for anything seriously off-road(stroller friendly hikes, farms, etc) City Select Lux double for my everyday stroller. It lives in my van and is an absolute workhorse. The Maclaren from my first, and a newer, nicer Maclaren. I wish they still made strollers because the newer one is so handy for travel, it's light, but super sturdy and the basket holds a lot. Also it's a single but it has a 75# limit, so on a recent trip we had both kids sitting in it when we needed. GB pockit for small places, like Drs offices or small shops. 2 City Minis for when we're going somewhere as a family but will be splitting up, like a mall. Honestly we could do without these two and just use the ones above, but one's my husband's favorite color and one's my favorite color, so they stay and get used a lot😂.
r/BabyBumps • How many strollers did you end up with? Is it possible to get by with just one? ->Any double stroller is really too big. Besides the size when using it, you also have to have space for it in your room. For two kids I would use two really cheap umbrella strollers. We just have one child, but we are taking her on her first cruise in December. We are taking the Stokke Yoyo. It folds up small enough to fit in an overhead bin and comes with a carrying strap. We also have the GB Pockit+ but it takes two hands to push so I think the Yoyo will be better.
