FTM and couldn’t convince myself that I need to spend over $1000. We went with the Graco FastAction Jogger LX travel system. It’s about $700 on Amazon and includes infant car seat. It’s on the bigger side compared to other strollers but idc tbh, it folds up super easy but it’s a bit heavy but nothing you can’t handle. It’s great for all terrain (I still need to test it out in the snow). The storage bin underneath is really big and it comes with cup holders. It’s great for walks with my dog! I think cons are it’s bigger so not ideal in super tight spaces - like I don’t love bringing it to the mall, it’s fine but just tight in some small stores, I’d rather just put him in my mabe carrier. I also don’t think this model is compatible with their bassinet add on, but I personally think the bassinets are a money grab and not necessary. Graco is a great brand so maybe even look into their other models too if you want something smaller
Also another con is it’s not great for like air travel bc it’s so big, I mean you could since it folds up fine but personally I’ll be buying a cheaper umbrella stroller for air travel.
I got the Grace FastAction Jogger LX Travel system. It has the large wheels that’s suitable for all terrains. I got this for the same reason as you - to walk in Canadian winters with my dog. Haven’t tested it yet though since I just had my baby in July. the wheels are heavy duty though so the stroller itself just feels really big and heavy. It came with the car seat and the toddler seat. I thought I wanted a bassinet attachment at first but then realized I can just use the car seat for walks and the bassinet is just a waste of money / the internet made me think I needed it. I actually don’t think the graco bassinet is compatible with this system. In a way it is a fast closure and they advertise it as one handed, which I’m sure may be possibly but I’m still getting used to it so I often use two hands.
We have a graco jogger stroller but we’re not bringing it because it’s so big, our family has a stroller in Portugal for us, not sure what kind it is though. We’re also gonna bring a cheap umbrella stroller for the airport, I doubt that will hold up on cobblestones lol. Yes this is my first time! So excited, it’s looks so beautiful
Not sure about a third option, there may be something like that available but not in my price range so I never considered looking lol. My 2 cents though - I did option B and really felt the click in car seat stroller duo was sooo convenient. I did Graco LX system and it came with the carseat, stroller, and another stroller attachment for when baby outgrown the carseat, still going strong and my son is 16 months now. We did have to invest in a carseat as he got bigger but it is convertible and will last for the rest of his childhood as it converts to forward facing then booster. The system I got was like $350 I think and then the convertible carseat was like 400 something but I got one that turned (Gravo turn2me) there are def cheaper options out there but I needed something like that for my car size at the time.
We did graco quick connect car seat and jogging stroller. Worked well for our two kids.
I have a baby trend zero flat! We Love it! We had also had a second hand Graco fast action we got rid of it. The baby trend is fairly light for a jogger and has great shocks, And the fact you don't have to pump tires is great. It also has running lights.
I have the graco gast action jogger and the baby trend expedition jogger. Both were secondhand but have served us very well! Would recommend either. To be fair, I'm not a runner, so my husband and I have each used them for a few jogs, but otherwise we use them for long walks, and the baby trend is my "daily driver" that I'll use for errands.
Yes, I love having carseat compatibility with my stroller! We have the Graco snug ride snug fit DLX with the Graco Fastaction Jogger, we've used this with both kids and I love the ease it folds up, and the "real" tires which helps on all terrain. We also have the Cyber Gazelle with Graco adapter, because we have 2 under 2 and sometimes need the double stroller option. This stroller is so smooth and turns really easily even with one hand but is not so great in loose rocks or dirt. It really isn't a big deal to pop the carseat in to the stroller at home or get baby ready in the carseat and then take him out to the garage to pop it in when we go for walks. I like it because he then faces me, plus most strollers are not recommended until at least 6 months of age on their own so you either need to use a carseat or one with a bassinet attachment.
It really isn't any bulkier and when my second was born I regularly used it as a single. It was the stroller I kept in the car and would pop the second seat off just to use it with the bucket seat while toddler was at daycare and I had the newborn with me. One thing I LOVE is the undersea storage is sooo much bigger. I always had a hard time getting our diaper bag out of the basket of our Graco Jogger. Don't get me wrong, I love our grace jogger but the gazelle has been a wonderful stroller, so smooth and easy to push/maneuver.
Yeah in hindsight we should have just bought this one. Don’t have to buy the second seat now if you don’t want by we got the attachment to click in our graco bucket car seat which was nice. We still occasionally use the single, but even when we go on walks and my 2yo wants to start out independently, she has a seat to climb in to when she gets tired. Also thinking about getting the standing board for her this summer as an alternative as well.
