Hi- mom to a 10 month old. We’ve loved our Graco system. The 3-4 way travel set is the way to go. Car seat, car seat base, bassinet, and stroller all comes in one box, $399. He’s finally outgrowing his car seat now but he’s also 99th percentile in height. And we just purchased the Graco toddler car seat, love it already!
Maxi cozy bouncer! My baby wouldn’t go in a swing but she would sit in this. A good travel system but doesn’t need to be $1000 I have the graco modes trio travel system and it’s $500 I think and I love it. A nice rocking chair ( I still don’t have this😭) Bedside sleeper not a regular small bassinet it’s bigger
We had the graco travel system I think the snug lite and it was great. No issues. We have the Evenflo slim 360 for the car seat that isn’t a carrier and also no complaints. My only tip would be if you are planning to have more than 1 child. Maybe look into a 2 seater stroller right off the bat. We plan to have a newborn when our 1st kid is still under 3 and we are unsure how the stroller situation will be
I had a 3-wheel convertible Graco one that went with the infant carrier, received as a baby shower gift. It was great on paved or hard-packed surfaces. Could lock the carrier in it either direction, when they got older it changed shape to a more typical forward facing style. Bought a used Bob for more off road stuff....used it all of like 2mo. My child, once she was no longer in the infant seat and could face forward in a stroller, absolutely haaaated not being in charge of her own destiny and direction of travel. So we gave up the idea of a stroller. So honestly I'd not invest in anything expensive, plenty of cheaper used things out there, just in case yours is as stubbornly independent as mine was. 😂
Think about your sidewalks, bigger wheels can handle potholes and cracks much smoother than smaller wheels. Cup holder is nice to put phone and keys or coffee. Under seat storage is super helpful to carry extra crap. For the early phase having a click-and-go system is super handy. They do grow out of that pretty fast, so be careful about spending tons on it. We had an inexpensive hand-me-down click and go from Gracco and then a nicer three wheel stroller that we used a bunch.
Joovy Caboose is light if there's more than one kid, and the bonus is it can navigate public spaces well. For comfort (but you'll get a workout), the Graco Jogger. The thing is a beast. They use tires so you'll want a bike pump and pressure gauge. For all in one, I'm team Graco since they make intuitive designs. Click Connect was a time saver with loading and switching to/from stroller. The trade off for the bang for buck is their designs are tankier (robust but heavier) than some brands. For long walks and urban hikes, consider a hiking pack if it appeals to you. I had two used Kelty Journey hiking packs. The kids really loved them, and it was a good core workout. Just make sure to adjust them properly, and note that they're a pain to adjust on the fly, so better to just have two if you were planning to share with a partner if any. Also consider a bike helmet for short doorways, low hanging branches, falls, etc. Also make sure to throw on jacket as it can get cold up there on windy days 😄
