The Graco Modes Nest DLX is between these two in cost and has some enhanced features over the regular one (quality of materials). I’m a proud Uppababy Vista V2 owner and am obsessed with it but I’ve tested a zillion baby products personally and in the scope of my job and haven’t loved Chicco products but have found Graco very well made and reliable.

[GRACO MODES NEST](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y5X7N27?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) This is what we went for with our newborn it’s really easy to use and very portable and will grow with them. So far it’s been great with everyday walking around the wheels feel smooth and is relatively lightweight!

Love mine too, although I can't speak on the car seat as we have a convertible and never used the infant seat. But the bassinet has worked great for us

I love my nest. Baby is 5 months old and we live in the city so we use it almost everyday. The bassinet has gotten lots of use and we just made it into a kid seat and he's loving that too. We have the slide to me, so you can position the seat as high as you want, which in baby stages is pretty high so they're within reach. When he's big enough to get in and out well be able to lower it. Love that feature

I have a Graco nest and the seat converts into a bassinet. It was $300 for the whole thing

Also had nest, love it. Used the bassinet all the time (although we didn't have an infant seat so couldn't use the stroller at all without the bassinet. Ymmv) he was a winter baby but we still walked all the time

Same here. Quick change into bassinet mode for diaper changes is super handy

If possible try to see them in person. It’s really hard to figure out how nicely a stroller will wheel by photos/ads! I have the Graco nest modes but it’s the Premier edition. It is hilariously enormous but it’s fantastic - great for walks but not great for storing in the car.

I ended up getting the graco prammette system. Pretty practical travel system, the bassinet turns into a seat once baby gets bigger and you can use the car seat on it. I do like it and we will be using it until baby grows out of it but there are some things I don’t love about it. The bassinet part seems a little wobbly? It has one main connection to the stroller and it’s in the middle so sometimes it felt like it moved up and down too much when my baby was a newborn. It’s also really annoying to unfold, the clasp to lock and unlock it from folded position is on the side and it’s kinda of hard to unfold. You have to set it against the floor or there’s too much pressure on the latch and it won’t unclip. Honestly I’m the only one who can do it without needing to put it on the ground. My mom can’t unfold it and my husband struggles with it. It’s also kind of a weird bulky shape and way to big to fold with the prammette portion and only folds with it attached if it’s in toddler seat mode

r/NewParentsI never knew baby strollers could be this expensive. But WHY??? Do I really need to break the bank for one?

I second Graco! I have the infant car seat (Snugride Snugfit DLX - $250) and the stroller that transforms into a pram (Modes Pramette - $270) and it has come in so handy!!! My baby loves laying in the pram on our walks and watching the birds. My sister has also bought Graco’s infant car seats, convertible car seats, regular stroller, and double stroller! She has had a great experience with their customer service as well. I got mine for my baby shower but Graco has deals often. If you’re in the US, Target has a car seat trade-in event twice a year as well so if you know anyone with an old or expired car seat, you can exchange it for 20% off a new car seat/stroller!

r/MommitShort moms, I need recommendations. I'm 4'9" and never found a be car seat or stroller I liked, did you?

I’m 4’11”, I have to Graco modes nest. It does have an adjustable height for the seat but I always keep it highest up tbh. Car seats are always gonna be bulky, infant ones. The stroller has clip ins for the car seat so I don’t typically carry it around much.

We had a Graco Nest Modes that had a bassinet way to attach the toddler chair. It was really nice to have when she was a newborn and smaller. She could stretch out unlike if she was just in the car seat all the time. It was really nice for her to nap in on walks. Once she hit like 4 months, she preferred to be to look around and see something besides up, but we love the stroller.

Graco has one that the seat itself becomes the bassinet. We had no issues with that one, graco modes nest. We only switched to mockingbird because we needed a stroller than can convert to a double.

I had the modes nest, and I don’t remember ever having a problem with the wheels. We used the bassinet probably until he was starting to sit up. It was nice that the bassinet part turned into the seat. There were many times we were out that we quickly converted it back to the bassinet setting to do a quick diaper change before going back to the seat setting.

I liked our graco modes nest. The seat turns into a bassinet and can also attach an infant bucket seat. If you get the travel system, it also comes with the bucket seat.
