We love our Graco myavo. I think it cost £130. My friend has a silver cross jet and says it’s a great pram too.
r/UKParenting • Travel Strollers ->I bought the Graco Myavo and it's been great. Single handed push, single handed open/close, lightweight. Still fits my 3 year old. The only negative I've found with it is the bar has to be taken off with 2 hands and has to fully come off, it doesn't just swing to one side. I would just take it off and not use it but my toddler asks for it on! So I mostly let him climb over it himself, or lift him in without taking it off. One of the main reasons I bought it was because I wanted something under £100 that Was light and I could push one handed.
r/UKParenting • Lightweight stroller recommendations for a 2-year-old ->We've got a Graco myavo buggy that's up to 22kg, great one handed steering, one handed folding and is 5.4kg in weight. So not a lot heavier than yours. Under £100 at Argos and Smyths at the moment. I love ours. It was also sold in Aldi a few weeks ago but I didn't look at the price
r/UKParenting • What transport are we using for >15kg toddlers? ->We have a Graco myavo and for the money, it is brilliant.
r/BabyBumps • Stroller Recommendations ->my best advice is you really don’t need anything that’s insanely expensive if there’s reliable alternatives. i bought graco everything. i got a stroller from them for about $300 or so, it’s amazing. i live in nyc and walk everywhere, don’t even have a car, and it’s been lasting strong. it has room for storage so i can bring stuff when we’re going somewhere a little further away from home like to another borough, it’s not too heavy to pick up to walk up and down the stairs, and it’s great for walking on the bumpy sidewalk. i absolutely love graco so much. i bought a second super lightweight travel stroller with less storage space that’s even lighter to carry just because the graco stroller was cheap enough where i could get a second little cheaper stroller when i dont want to carry the heavier one. as for bouncers, i got a free one secondhand that worked great and i got a gifted one that was roughly $50. my baby only ended up liking bouncers for a couple months. after he wasn’t a little newborn anymore around 4 months old, he hated bouncer or anything that constrained him or kept him trapped in one place. he likes to move lol. so i wouldn’t spend too much money on stuff until your baby is here and you see what they like. ESPECIALLY diapers omg i wish someone told me this!!!! my baby ended up with super sensitive skin and could only use one brand of diapers. we had so many diapers we had to return because they would give him hives. clothes- you’ll most likely be gifted tons of clothes because people love to shop for baby clothes. once upon a baby, walmart, carters, there’s a lot of places with super cute really cheap baby clothes. also people are always giving away secondhand baby clothes on places like fb marketplace. i bought a few items that were a little more pricey that i really wanted, and then the rest i was gifted or got secondhand, or bought from places like the ones i listed. my baby had enough clothes he wore a lot of the newborn size, 0-3 months, 3-6 months clothes 1 or maybe 2 times because they grow so fast. he was in sizes 6m, 6-9m, 9m, 12m the longest so far. i also ended up with baby clothes in the wrong season for the size (or wrong size for the season?) because they don’t fit in the size that’s their age lol so i had 3-6m winter clothes when he was actually in 3-6m during the hottest months of the summer. i invested in a good baby carrier because i baby wear and walk everywhere, but even then i spent around $40 on it and didn’t get the expensive name brand ones. the one i have i absolutely loveeee and it wasn’t one of those $200 carriers. no hate to anyone who gets them, i wish i could afford it! but i’m on a budget and the cheaper one works great for me. my car seats were graco as well! they’re great i got an infant travel seat and a convertible car seat. basically, don’t spend tons of money on items before the baby is here and you don’t know what your baby is going to like or prefer, and don’t feel the need to get name brand items or expensive items if you’re on a budget because there’s reliable affordable options. baby stuff is expensive but i think right now social media and other moms will make you think you need stuff you really don’t need, and there’s ways to get more affordable options that will still be perfect for your baby.
r/BabyBumps • Baby items are SO expensive my gosh ->We started with a Graco travel system, bought an umbrella stroller for indoors, found that both didnt turn well on slick floor inside stores. Bought a bugaboo lynx and got rid of both of the others. Our lynx comes in and out of the house since it turns much better than our cheap umbrella stroller did. It doesn't fold super small so you need decent trunk space but it's pretty lightweight so easy to pop in and out.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->3, but now 2. One evenflo travel system which I sold then bought graco travel system then bought uppababy vista because baby (at 5 months) hated bassinet but couldn’t do full recline. I also wish I just went right to uppababy.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->We got a graco travel system with the infant car seat. I loved it. The infant carseat we were able to use it for awhile. I know a lot of people complain the infant carseat gets too heavy to take out all the time, but that's what we did. I loved the bassinet feature with the stroller. And then it converted to toddler stroller. We still use it and my daughter is 2. It is not the smallest when folded, but that's my only complaint. We mainly use it in the neighborhood so keep it open in the garage for easy use. I have an umbrella stroller to take on errands that I know I need it to keep her contained, like the DMV.
r/NewParents • What stroller/carseat to buy? ->Depends on how much you plan to use it as a newborn. Some have the infant carseat just clips into the stroller as well. I have a graco travel system that the bassinet part switches to the seat part once they can sit up. I took my daughter for a few walks in the bassinet part so it was used. When she got big enough I switched it to the seat for walks. My stroller can also just have the carseat clip in, which I never did. How much do you plan to use th stroller in those early months will help you decide
r/BabyBumps • Is a stroller bassinet worth it? ->Graco is great quality and decently priced. I love their travel system. My carseat, strollers (single and double), and Pram all connect and they are easy to use.
r/BabyBumps • What (realistically priced) strollers are good these days? ->Have a registry open, sometimes you can stack the discounts on top of sale for extra saving. Bottle cleaner/sterilizer - must have for the first 3 months, since you need to sterilize their bottles, binkies, and some toys while the baby builds up their immune system. So much easier than standing over a pot of boiling water. Stroller/car seat - we have a Graco travel system, it's easy and lightweight. We prioritized weight and compactness for ease of use. Baby wipes - you can't have too many Diapers/bottles/binkies- here's the thing people don't talk about, it's not a one size fits all. Your baby will come out with their own personality and preferences. You might prefer one brand over another. Get a small box of diapers, sampler bottles and nipples from registry kits. See what you like and stock up from there. There will always be promotions and discounts on diapers at different retailers. Breast pump - your insurance should cover for one, but it's also worth checking out the different models and sales. Read the reviews! It's good to have a manual as well for emergencies and on the go pumping. If you are pumping for work - a deep freezer and extra milk bags.
r/Parenting • Black Friday tips : what baby stuff was actually worth it? (first-time mom here 💁🏻♀️) ->I personally love a good travel system for infants. I enjoy being able to just click the car seat into the stroller and not have to worry about waking a sleeping baby. After that a convertible car seat is the way to go. Graco is reliable and affordable. I personally LOVE Britax car seats because of the ease of instal. I won’t buy any other brand for convertible car seats. I’ve had the Graco travel system through 3 kids and it’s worked great. Just more of a pain to instal.
r/BabyBumps • Overwhelmed with Stroller/Car Seat combo options. What am I even looking for? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
