iCandy - Orange 4

I've got VW golf and can fit my Icandy Orange pram in, I just have to take off one wheel to get the door shut. When the bassinet was on I would take that off and place it on top in the boot, now shes in the seat I can fold it down with it attached and place in the boot, still with one wheel off. I can also fit in my running buggy (out and about brand). We take off the side wheels for that too as its a bit longer with them on. I find getting her in and out fine. Her first carseat was a maxi cosi pebble 360. And we upgraded recently to the maxi cosi emerald which is also great. I am used to doing all this in our other car too though which is smaller - a Toyota GR Yaris

My time to shine as I've bought way too many prams (let's just ignore that financial irresponsibility). A few questions to ask yourself:  - Will you want more than one kid? - How is the access to your house - Where do you live and how do you go out and about I will list some pros and cons for the ones I've had. - Yoyo - small canopy and smaller overall for a pram, even for a compact one, airline compliant, it does require two hands to fold it down - I've had two of these, one with me and one with my parents, ended up using a couple of times each - terrible on cobblestone  - Joolz Aer+ - my favourite compact one, the canopy is huge (meaning that you can extend it to get the baby to sleep and almost no light passes) more stable and has significantly more space than the yoyo, lays down flat. It is also possible to fold it with one hand and carry it on the side on the tube - Icandy orange - if you want kids close by this will save you a few headaches. You can transform it into a double and it has an integrated buggy board, the basket holds a lot and it is easy access (seats are quite small), the sweet spot for this one is when your second kid is between 6 months and 16 months and your oldest is too big for a pram but can't walk a lot (between 2.5 and 4 I would say). The integrated buggy board for perfect for us during these months - other parents were kicking their buggy boards and always having to lift it up, walking on the side of the pram and I was cruising. I believe they have a new version now that icandy core? Which has an integrated buggy board and possibility of having different wheels. This pram is very bulky but great for country side walks, very stable, height adjustable handle. Again, very bulky but hey, a child can even fit on the basket - Bugaboo fox - amazing canopy, again, if your baby naps on the pram, you want this. Better looking than the Icandy Orange. Still behaves pretty well "off road". Folds a bit smaller than the Icandy and the seat fits a bigger child when comparing to the Icandy (I would say a much bigger child). If you are planning for one child only I would go with this one as a big pram. For 2, you will have to add an annoying buggy board that will be kicked and will be uncomfortable. Still bulky and not practical going up and down stairs but better than the Icandy - Double Britax - fits 2 kids up to 22kg each, got it for a holiday, used twice, easy to maneuver but very bulky, one more mm and would not fit on our garden door - if you need a double pram it is a good solution but if not twins you are probably better with a normal one.  The canopy extends but it is mesh on the top, therefore light still passes (but you can see the children) - Out n About runner - very stable, I don't run but this is very cool and stable. We usually use it for travelling by train or when we feel like a bigger pram will be needed. It can fit two children sitting inside - a 4 yo can still nap inside if required. Very short canopy  And I think these are the most relevant. If you are only going to buy one, I would say the Joolz aer, it is quite stable for a small pram and spacious as well. I, somehow, never liked any silvercross but I do see some people with it, for me, they never had a feature that would make me buy them (and I bought a lot of prams)

We had an icandy Orange, which was a bit rubbish in tandem setup, to be honest, and an Out n About 360 double, which was absolutely brilliant.

I was in a similar position when I had my baby and we ended buying an icandy that was ridiculously expensive ( my husband insisted on it since we have a big garage and all in all is was a great buy) but when we went on holiday we had to rent a yoyo which we liked so we bought a second pram for travelling. The yoyo3 is a fantastic pram though it is a bit pricey but you can look for on vinted or eBay for one. My baby seems very happy in it when we are out and about.

Got a second hand icandy from eBay for £50. Was great, had been over £600 new. Definitely advise you go second hand, the fancy travel systems try to convince you they’ll last for years but at 1 year most people switch to something smaller and lighter. 

Maxi cosi is your go too I recommend the emerald it’s from infant to 15 months and comes with isofix base. Buggy depends on your budget I always had bugaboo or icandy.

Any thoughts on icandy? We have one and a doona but the doona gets used more!

Seconded. I’d buy a second hand iCandy for 0-6 or 0-9 months (depending on how fast the baby grows!) as that is a tank to protect a newborn in bassinet, and initially faces you when you sit them up, which is nice for the baby. From that age onwards, for rural lifestyle splash out on the nipper out n about, urban go for Joolz aer. Much sturdier and easier to fold than YoYo.

We had an icandy pram with Maxi Cosi car seat that was on a 360 base.
