We just got one for my very tall 2 year old. The longest we found were the ICandy PIP and the Bugaboo Butterfly 2, we went for the Bugaboo and she can lay down comfortably in it. You can also pack it away in the overhead lockers on a flight, the only con is it was pretty pricey.

Have you gone into John Lewis and pushed buggies around? That's the best way to check it its easy to push etc as everyone is different. If possible, bump up and down a step/ledge like a kerb. Edit: sorry I've just read your post again. Ignore all of that! I will say, I bought an expensive buggy and after the first year it was a total waste of money- we just used a stroller that folded up small so deffo buy second hand! I wish I did 😅 We had an icandy and wouldn't recommend, but the basinet was sleep-safe so we could use it as a travel cot in the early days when on holiday/ visiting relatives etc which was handy!

I love our icandy - I know it’s pricey but honestly, it’s so versatile and the way it handles is so smooth. That honestly sounds ridiculous until you have a baby and then having smooth turns is great. But in all honesty, we loved that you could get a bundle option so we got the bassinet, the car seat, the toddler one and it will take two children so if we did decide to expand the family we could do that. Loved how stylish it looked, came with a coffee cup holder, umbrella, cover. Brilliant. But expensive.

I was in a similar position when I had my baby and we ended buying an icandy that was ridiculously expensive ( my husband insisted on it since we have a big garage and all in all is was a great buy) but when we went on holiday we had to rent a yoyo which we liked so we bought a second pram for travelling. The yoyo3 is a fantastic pram though it is a bit pricey but you can look for on vinted or eBay for one. My baby seems very happy in it when we are out and about.

Got a second hand icandy from eBay for £50. Was great, had been over £600 new. Definitely advise you go second hand, the fancy travel systems try to convince you they’ll last for years but at 1 year most people switch to something smaller and lighter

Seconded. I’d buy a second hand iCandy for 0-6 or 0-9 months (depending on how fast the baby grows!) as that is a tank to protect a newborn in bassinet, and initially faces you when you sit them up, which is nice for the baby. From that age onwards, for rural lifestyle splash out on the nipper out n about, urban go for Joolz aer. Much sturdier and easier to fold than YoYo.
