I love our icandy - I know it’s pricey but honestly, it’s so versatile and the way it handles is so smooth. That honestly sounds ridiculous until you have a baby and then having smooth turns is great. But in all honesty, we loved that you could get a bundle option so we got the bassinet, the car seat, the toddler one and it will take two children so if we did decide to expand the family we could do that. Loved how stylish it looked, came with a coffee cup holder, umbrella, cover. Brilliant. But expensive.

I was in a similar position when I had my baby and we ended buying an icandy that was ridiculously expensive ( my husband insisted on it since we have a big garage and all in all is was a great buy) but when we went on holiday we had to rent a yoyo which we liked so we bought a second pram for travelling. The yoyo3 is a fantastic pram though it is a bit pricey but you can look for on vinted or eBay for one. My baby seems very happy in it when we are out and about.

r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAuPrams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby?

I got a chunky icandy pram which took up my whole boot. It was useful for the first 4 months with the bassinet and parent facing seat. We went travelling overseas and I bought a travel pram for $300 from baby bunting which is super compact and easy to fold down and open up. I’ve not used my icandy pram since. I might end up using it if we go on walks on rougher terrains but the ease of use of the travel pram makes going to the super market and other places so much simpler. I got my pram second hand so it wasn’t really a big deal to me that I’m not using it anymore except for all the space it takes up in our small unit.

r/BeyondTheBumpUKPram buying for baby - what's the pram/travel system you went for and what was your experience with it?

Got a second hand icandy from eBay for £50. Was great, had been over £600 new. Definitely advise you go second hand, the fancy travel systems try to convince you they’ll last for years but at 1 year most people switch to something smaller and lighter

Seconded. I’d buy a second hand iCandy for 0-6 or 0-9 months (depending on how fast the baby grows!) as that is a tank to protect a newborn in bassinet, and initially faces you when you sit them up, which is nice for the baby. From that age onwards, for rural lifestyle splash out on the nipper out n about, urban go for Joolz aer. Much sturdier and easier to fold than YoYo.

We had an icandy pram with Maxi Cosi car seat that was on a 360 base.
