Chive Single-to-Double Stroller

no issue fitting out 7lb baby into the Joie Mint Latch. Honestly it has to meet so many regulations, its more likely some new parents aren't used to putting their baby in the car seat correctly. Honestly I didnt watch enough videos the first time putting our first baby in. First 2 times putting her in her carseat it took a while but honestly its just new parents jitters, now that we understand how car seats work its easy to get her in! We love our Joie Nutmeg and Chive strollers! We also have the new Joie Carry Cot that fits in our Chive.

I do! The carry cott is super high quality and so it the mint latch and Chive! We also have the nutmeg stroller for our small lightweight model and we love it too! The carry cot is so worth it for us. We put it on the floor and can see her easily from the couch in the cot! Really impressed with Joies products. There all super well made and Nuna like!

I really debated between the Joie Chive, UppaBaby Vista & the Mockingbird and went with the Chive for these top 3 reasons: 1. The chive folds up the best of the 3 2. Large basket plus additional basket option 3. All wheel suspension

18 month age gap here and we bought the Joie Chive Single to Double and the Joie Mint baseless infant car seat. The sibling seat is sold separately as well but my favorite thing is the baseless car seat just clicks into the stroller and when you take it out to put it in the car the stroller will fold as a single (bcs the sibling seat is detachable and you'll only need to add it once baby is ready for it. We originally thought of the Babytrend Sit N' Stand but in order to have the infant seat attach to the stroller you had to click it into the sibling seat so when we tried it out in store it was so bulky and a nightmare to fold up.

Personally I think it is. We have a 17 month age gap and love our Joie Chive Single to Double stroller. Big sis has her regular toddler seat in the front and babies car seat (joie mint) clicks into the top of the stroller with the included adaptors. Once he's big enough we replace the adaptors with a second toddler seat. It's nice bcs we don't have to disturb him and take him in and out of the car seat but at the same time it doesn't have to click into the second seat (second seat is only added when he's ready to sit in it) so it folds like a single stroller

We went Joie! It felt like the right balance of features and price. Ginger DLX + mint latch, though I wouldn't be surprised if we get a nutmeg for travel at some point too. I know the Nuna is probably better, I just couldn't get my head around spending that much. Mostly you just have to decide what's important to you. Lightweight, bassinet, parent facing, storage/comfort, etc. Even within one brand, there are usually different options best suited for each of these. Also keep in mind you can often find secondhand strollers for cheap on Facebook marketplace, though you should buy the car seat new.

Honestly I haven't installed it yet, but baseless seats pass all the same safety tests! I learned on reddit that the mint is still compatible with their base, so worst case we hate it and buy a base. We travel to family by plane so mostly I just want to avoid having to bring a separate piece every time. With or without a base, most seats can be installed with either rigid latch or the seatbelt, so it's not as different as you might think. Nutmeg won't parent face, it lays almost flat for tiny babies but only faces forward. Ginger does parent face (in any mode - bassinet, seat, or car seat). Its main benefit is theres no separate bassinet piece required, the seat converts. If you want parent facing but don't care about that bassinet conversion, try Poppy whirl. I have the Joie Chive. It’s a single to double and I love everything about it. The wheels are a nice rubber, the suspension system is really good and it glides through grass and gravel like nothing. The storage area underneath is huge. I only have one child (for now) and I use their shopping basket attachment along with the single stroller seat for store trips where I just need a handful of things
