We ended up going with the Joie Ginger LX & got it on sale for <$300. It has a bassinet mode & since Nuna & Joie share the same parent company, it’s (unofficially) compatible with the Nuna Pipa Rx we were gifted using the adapters that come with the stroller (i.e., no need for additional purchases). It doesn’t fold up as nicely/easily & is a bit bulkier than comparable strollers with a higher price tag, but we’ve been happy with it so far.
I’m super excited about my Joie Ginger LX!
We love our Joie Ginger! We got the Ginger LX with the Rue car seat combo, which has a base. They also have an option to pair it with the Mint, which is a baseless car seat. The LX stroller has a few more features but if you wanna save a little bit more you could get the Regular Ginger. They have a few other stroller models that are also worth looking at that are all a little different.
We have the a joie Ginger LX and absolutely love it. Zero complaints and highly recommend it!
I got that exact travel system and I LOVE IT. I don’t think you will regret it at all!!

I have the ginger xl and rue!! Love them! I also bought the 360 car seat for when he is older! Just as stylish as the nuna but without the price tag
We have the Joie LX Ginger that’s all-in-one bassinet and 3+ option and we love it. I was worried about the “infant in car seat too long” aspect so knew I wanted her to be able to lay flat. The LX has a bigger canopy to unzip and it’s perfect for keeping the sun out of her face
I also have the Joie Ginger LX and love it!! Baby is only 3 weeks old and I am recovering from my c section so I’ve only used it on short walks around the neighborhood but it does extremely well with uneven/bumpy sidewalks and is super easy to push.
We have the Joie Ginger LX and absolutely love the bassinet feature, use it almost daily
I was in the same boat, deciding between a Nuna and the Joie. I’m so glad I went with the Joie (Ginger LX/Mint Latch)! My sister in law splurged on all Nuna products and now they’re all torn up, dirty and showing signs of wear and tear- and her kids are not even 3 yet. She spent thousands of dollars on the travel system and convertible car seats. I would feel so bad spending that much money on a travel system not knowing if A) baby would even like it and B) whether it will develop wear and tear over the years. I think you got a hell of a deal on the Joie. Keep it, try it out, and if you want to invest in something else or put something more expensive on your registry, then go for it. At the end of the day there’s no reason to feel guilty or compare what you have to others. Your baby is loved either way!
I ordered the Joie ginger lx. The Joie nutmeg was a close contender.
Mine is still across the country and shipping... But yes. Be mindful that there is a Ginger and a Ginger LX stroller. The Ginger LX has a extendable canopy, and bigger wheels for smoother ride, and it has a one-handed pramette conversion. These were the big reasons I chose the Ginger LX. The Ginger LX is also a little bit heavier, like by 1 lb, than the original Ginger. I believe it does still generally require two hands to open and close the stroller I think you would have to watch the videos to double-check. The Joie Nutmeg converts to a nearly flat infant recline. It has smaller wheels than the Gingers, so it may not have as smooth of a ride on more bumpy surfaces. Neither the Gingers or Nutmeg have true all-terrain wheels. Also The nutmeg also the canopy when it folds down, will rest on your hands when pushing the stroller. I personally was not a fan of that idea and I felt like that would bug me. The Nutmeg has a one-handed closure and is super super lightweight, like 15 lbs. The brand is well established and liked in Europe, but is relatively new to the US. So honest (non paid or influencer) reviews are a bit hard to find. But I've scoured reddit for peoples feedback, and aside from 1 or 2 people, everyone seems to love their Joie strollers.
We have Joie LX. On some level, I wish I would have just bit the bullet and gotten a Guva and the Bassinet attachment. The Joie is a great "pramette" stroller but ITS HUGE in my trunk.. even in my husbands truck. I like our stroller as a stroller, but wish I would have considered how it sized overall. That being said - your situation could be different.
My baby isn't here yet but I just received the Joie Ginger LX/Rue travel system as a gift and it's really nice imo. The stroller folds down but I wouldn't say it's super small or lightweight, but I am short and scrawny so it may just be that lol. My husband enjoyed pushing it around the house and it was a smooth ride, the pramette was a lot bigger than I expected but that's not necessarily a bad thing if you plan to let your older toddlers nap in the stroller. I love that the stroller turns into a pram just by leaning the seat back. I don't think the Ginger LX converts to a double stroller, but I remember seeing another Joie travel system on the website that did (maybe the Nutmeg)
