We had a 2.5 year gap (currently got a new 3yo and baby is 6mo) so decided to mix & match - got a buggy board for the single ‘big’ pram we had with the eldest and were re-using for baby, then picked up a cheap secondhand Joie Aire side by side double. Waiting in the wings we have the cheapish Joie stroller we had graduated the eldest to once we stopped using the big pram, but we’ve only used that literally once since the baby was born, when my husband took him solo to a hospital appt. We thought the 2yo had mostly outgrown the pram, but we realised how much we must have been carrying him/popping him in the carrier or trolley etc once we no longer had the spare hands for it, plus I think he was a bit envious of the baby and wanted to be in the pram like her. If we didn’t already have prams to use I would have got the peach 7, cos of the integrated buggy board! Perfect for when pram is in single mode and with being integrated there’s no faffing about. Pros and cons to all our setups so we choose differently depending on activity. I’m very glad of the double though as for the first 4 or so months the baby did NOT like the carrier. Out and about at parks and things it was handy as well as I could strap in the eldest and give him a flapjack or something while I was feeding rather than have him running off. We aren’t near much so I don’t use the pram directly from home as much as others, but I do like to get out for some fresh air. With our single if baby falls asleep I can get into the porch once I get home, but the Aire doesn’t fit through the front door (bog standard) so I have to decide if I’m going to try and transfer to bed or stay hovering at the front door.

I got the Joie Rosemary for once my LO could sit up and I love it. It was hard to find something with 3 cup holders!

It's not convertible at all, but has a bit of recline & 5 point harnesses. I really like Joie Rosemary. Budget friendly, lightweight, & has 3 cup holders!
