We have a Joolz aer with a bassinet so never used it with a car seat! It folds with the bassinet attached and is still compact and lightweight!! You don’t need an infant bucket car seat, and I don’t like having them on strollers because infants shouldn’t be in them for very long, so much prefer the bassinet!
We are foster parents so we also had a lot of options for car seats already to be honest. We did use an infant bucket carseat but left it in the car and used it like a convertible. Kiddo has never been in a car seat out of the car ever. We already had the Joolz stroller (we got it a few years ago so it’s the old model) and bought the bassinet for it. Kiddo was BIG but we kept him in it until 6 months, he slept well in it, was happy to look at our faces and it was easy to keep him warm with blankets when it got to winter (Aug baby). We also flew with the it as a bassinet. We’ve flown about 20 times with it now, and keep it in our car as it’s so light and easy! Number 2 is due April and we are putting the bassinet back on because we love that stroller so much!
Also, a travel stroller. We got a joolz aer secondhand (version 1, theyre now on version 3) and I love it. It was also great because it had adapters available to fit my bucket seat (clek liing) on it.
The aer is awesome, we got ours second hand. It is one of the only travel strollers that allows you to add adapters and mount a car seat. We bought it to take on a cruise and we were taking our clek liing on the plane. It worked so seamlessly at the airport. If you have the original aer, can I ask what diaper bag (or any bag) you use with it? The basket is so narrow (esp on version 1) that the only thing that I put in mine is a reusable grocery bag.
Something that I came across when I was searching... Where are you going to store it and where do you mainly plan to use it. Is it going to be stored in your house and you're mainly using it to walk your neighborhood or do you plan to store lug it in and out of your car and use it when you're out and about? I knew for sure that I wanted a clek liing so I looked at their compatibility list/adapters list... and went from there. We have a secondhand peg perego YPSI that was compatible with our clek liing (had to buy adapters). I like that it's not super wide (compared to the uppababy) and it's pretty compact in the car. But... I also bought a joolz aer 'travel stroller' second hand for a trip and it also has compatible liing adapters. That thing is a dream for out and about. The only drawback is the basket is kind of small, but they have made it bigger/ wider on the newer models. Babies should really be in a bassinet attachment for a stroller unless it is a lie flat stroller... The bucket car seat is convenient for a little quick trips in and out, but it shouldn't be used for them to sit in all the time. I have been getting ads for mountain buggy sale... And while I definitely do not need another stroller this one is tempting. I believe it includes a lie flat option for newborn as well. https://ca.mountainbuggy.com/shop/cosmopolitan-11312?variant=40918117875757&country=CA¤cy=CAD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17335605012&gbraid=0AAAAADdhiwMEcB3XcuC_Ak5DCH9Dwy7eo&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6btaqvkVe6CTzWB0ocgYsIG9YNVEL9ZiJuqYt4Z_n4g2_XkfnKIl0RoCJ5AQAvD_BwE#attribute_values=362,855,955,873,884,906,1038,1036,1078
I love our Joolz air! One handed in every way- so easy to swivel around one handed, open doors, folds up one handed, can be carried one handed. Small enough to fit in overhead bin on planes. Compatible with most infant car seats with an attachment. We used a Cybex cloud G I-size with it.
Is this for just one child? If so, the joolz Air is incredible. Fits as carryon luggage.
I'm now using it for my second (10m) who loves it, especially the recline. We originally got it for a trip to Hawaii for my first. It did well on various terrain and we sometimes use it locally instead of the Vista when we need to save some space in the car.
I had the Joolz Aer and just upgraded to the redsbaby skip 3. So glad I did, the basket size is way better, my son sits so much more upright, The canopy protects him more and the recline is better than the Joolz. Highly recommend
We have a Nuna, but recently borrowed an Aer1 for travelling. Giving back the Aer left me very jealous afterward!
