Chiming in to recommend the Joolz Aer. It’s great. US regulation doesn’t allow totally flat recline but baby can sleep in it comfortably. The EU version does have flat recline. You can also get adapters to plop your infant car seat onto it.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel stroller for 4 month old? ->2. Vista (but I wish I go the Cruz) and Joolz Aer for car/travel once she was older.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->I second the joolz aer. We're in the country side so also have a bugaboo fox cub which is brilliant, but going round the village or into Manchester the joolz is the one. Expecting #2 and have the joolz carrycot ready to go and it's so soft. We'll be using both prams but definitely recommend the joolz for small spaces. On lots of bugaboo pages they often recommend it over the bugaboo butterfly and dragonfly as they often are a little flimsier, especially with toddlers or older children.
r/PregnancyUK • Buggy suggestions? ->Another vote for Joolz Aer - I had a Baby Jogger but the carrycot was surprisingly heavy and unwieldy so we replaced with a Joolz Aer and it's much better but still not perfect. Honestly not sure there's a good solution to this problem but the Joolz Aer at least folds v easily and is super light. If you travel a lot by bus it's great for that too. The Stokke Yoyo is also really tiny and compact but I don't know how easy it is to carry. Babywearing might be your best bet once you get the hang of it! I found that gave me loads of freedom in the early months.
r/TheHague • (Baby) Stroller Experiences. Recommendations? ->We had basically the same requirements and ended up getting a Joolz aer+ (on discount bc they are phasing out that model), plus the Clek Liing car seat. If you want parent facing, the new Joolz aer2 would be a good fit!
r/BabyBumps • Pleaseeee help! SO overwhelmed by strollers ->I wish the Joolz Aer had magnetic buckles and a non-zipper reline. Then it would be the perfect true one-hand fold stroller. There are so many videos online that show how easy it is to unfold all these travel strollers, but most of them actually get stuck when unfolding and you need to fling hard. I wouldn't even consider the Uppababy Minu V3, Ergobaby Metro 3 truly one-handed. I actually was surprised that some cheaper strollers were actually real one-hand fold and unfold. The Peg Perego Selfie and Guzzie and Guss O2 both felt like butter. Unfortunately their canopies were too small or too close to the face.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations for easy-open stroller? [on] ->I’m so surprised at everyone mentioning the UPPABABY? That shit is heavy duty and IMO not what the OP is looking for at all. I’d highly recommend the joolzaer. Travel friendly, extremely lux European brand and allows bassinet attachment/ car seat so it’s perfect to use from birth. If you are in a typical urban/city living it will be perfect. If you are in rough terrain, might not be the most ideal but it’s under 7Kg, 8kg basket & fits everywhere and anywhere!!
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->We are in the same situation as you, city living, no car, no option to store the stroller at the ground level of our walk up. We bought a Joolz Aer + with a bassinet attachment- baby’s not quite here yet so I don’t have a full review. But I am happy to say it feels really solid and not like just a travel stroller, especially with the bassinet attachment. It’s a lot smaller than my friends bugaboo (because of course it is) so I dont know if we will use the bassinet attachment for as long. But it folds great, with or without the bassinet, and the bassinet is easy to take on and off, which is what we wanted for our 2nd floor walk up (3rd floor european) apartment. And I cannot imagine buying a heavier stroller than this - it’s supposed to be one of the lightest but still damn! 2 things I might see as negatives with use- 1. The suspension isn’t as good as a full size of course. I am hoping it is good enough, but we live in a town with a fair amount of cobblestones and even some “stroller approved hikes” so I will definitely be putting it to the test! 2. I wish an engineer would make magic and find a way to make a lightweight travel stroller with the storage capacity of a full size- since we also don’t have a car I know I will be filling the storage underneath to absolute max capacity and I wish it was bigger, but I know it’s not possible and actually the Joolz aer has been praised for having more room than other compacts. The way I reassured myself to pull the trigger on this one was to start with the smallest stroller that could work and get it on sale/ used. That way, if it didn’t work out as an every day stroller, we had a good stroller for flights (all family lives abroad) and we could feel better about keeping this one for travel, store it away (like I said, it folds great) and then invest in something more robust for every day if we really needed it. Good luck with your search!
r/BabyBumps • Lightweight strollers useable from birth without a car seat? ->Babe is almost 5 weeks: We have just a travel stroller, the aer+ with bassinet. We live in a mid sized city in a 2nd/ 3rd floor walk up with a narrow staircase and no car and no stroller room on the main floor, so we needed something easy to fold and carry up and down, plus the smaller size is nice for transit. So far it’s working out well for us. However, If we had a stroller room in our building where we could store the stroller on the ground floor I think I would have gotten a midsized like the Joolz geo AND a less expensive travel stroller , something not name brand and second hand. Our city has a lot of cobblestones so I’m missing better suspension/ bigger wheels and more storage for errands. And our families both live in different countries so we plan on doing a lot of traveling, hence why we need a travel stroller. But it sounds like you have a car lifestyle and could get by without a huge storage basket and don’t necessarily need the suspension of a full size- maybe the aer plus would also work for you.
