So I have an old version of Joolz Day and we carry him.in that detachable cot (bassinet?) all the time when at my MIL. Baby is 9w now and still sleeps well when being carried up the stairs. It has a detachable handle but it feels quite secure. I planned to babywear but I find it too much of a nuisance to have a heavy baby at the front and a heavy rucksack at the back with his milk chill bottle, milk, bottle warmer, nappies, change of clothes and many other things you need when you have a baby. It gets really heavy and I get super tired of walk more than 20 minutes with him - he's 6kg and I feel it. I live in London and I swore I'd baby wear him everywhere. Well, he's only being worn when I'm popping to the corner shop, GP or hospital appointment.

So many options, I’ll tell you what worked for us but there will be so many others. We had a used Joolz Day or Geo for our first child, sold it and when we had our second child (unexpectedly), we bought new Joolz Geo. What we liked was how study it was but you could still dissemble it to go into a small car’s trunk. It had the baby thing to lay in and the upright seat that can be tilted and a load of addons available. BTW these days (kids are 3 and 7), we switched to cargo bike (R+M Load 75) and Ulfbo for trips to parks or Baltic Sea. Life after stroller (can be) expensive but is sooo much fun! Enjoy Berlin

Yep, I agree! I think the biggest difference is the bassinet option for Joolz. I was dead set on getting something that was newborn compatible and didnt \*require\* a bassinet (which Joolz is fwiw), but then when trying them out realized that in practicality there was no way I would feel comfortable putting my newborn in the low forward facing reclined seat. Even though its use will ultimately be limited to a few months, I am glad we went with the bassinet. Another benefit of a bassinet is you don't need to deal with buckling them in and out constantly or worry about blankets/pacifiers/etc falling off... been pretty handy so far.

Joolz aer by far. You’ll see it everywhere, it’s always the most popular on such threads. We have the + and they’ve just brought out the 2 so you can probably get lower models for cheaper now. It was our main buggy for a good while too. I’m mad we didn’t get it sooner!

This! There is no meaningful difference between the Aer and + and whatever this years model is called. Also get them on a balance bike. Absolute game changer in terms of self propelling at speed. If you can find one with brakes and solid wheels that will last you until they are ready for pedals. (Can be as early as 2.5) you’ll need to get them going quite soon as teaching it when it’s cold and wet isn’t particularly fun.

I’ve literally never seen them there and I spent many hours there trying to convince myself I needed and could afford a Bugaboo. (Surprise to no one, I didn’t and I couldn’t! Lol) Nuna, Uppababy, Silver Cross, Thule, Doona, Joolz, Cybex, sure. Chicco? Never. Maybe this is a new development? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Never heard of Doona, but what we do is put car seat on the frame of stroller with help of adapters. We have stroller and seat from same company, not sure it's necessary (Joolz in our case)

I have it and I have another travel stroller. It’s mostly good with good wheels but I don’t think it lies down flat enough like the other I have ( silvercross jet ) also the basket is def big enough but I find the seat just to be too short and not long enough.
