So I’ve used 3 different strollers the last 3 months. Love the mockingbird, the basinet was great but it’s kind of narrow so they can only fit together for so long. I have a joovy qool, easy to snap the car seats in and out of and my 2yo has a bench seat, and then I recently got an uppa baby vista, just to use until my boys can sit up straight in the seats on the joovy, and the uppa baby is fine for two twins but would be hard if you had a toddler because the lightest child goes on the bottom, weird I know. I tried out a donkey and it didn’t fit the best in my car and it felt heavy to me (weird I know) My neighbor has a cybex and gazelle and wish I could use that for 3 kiddos it glides so well

So if you’re going to have kids close in age , absolutely get a double stroller. I have experimented with sooooo many strollers lol. I have 6 month old twins and a 2.5 yo I use my double bob for walks / runs if my toddler stays back and I love it. I use my uppa baby with all the attachments now, standing board for my toddler. Wren my boys were little, I used the joovy qool, I would click in the car seats, and it has a bench seat for my toddler. I also used my mockingbird with a bassinet for the boys. The mockingbird was my top but it’s not the best for our setup so I sold it! I love my qool because the canopies go down really low t!

We had a Joovy Qool so similar tandem stroller style like the Uppababy so I totally understand the feeling “low” for the kid up front and the steering issues. I had twins so we did a trial run on various types of strollers and had both tandem and side by side styles. Jogging stroller was by far my favorite! My youngest is 2.5 and I’m considering getting a single jogging stroller again after we sold our old double jogger lol

I had a Joovy Qool. Granted my youngest is now 4 so it’s been a while and they’ve updated it since I used it, but I loved it! We also had a Graco infant seat so we had to buy the adapter for it. I used it on gravel and even snow occasionally and it worked well. Sand was tricky, but doable. The canopy extended for extra coverage and had mesh for viewing. It was easy to push and steer. The only thing I didn’t like was that it didn’t come with a parent caddy or cupholders. But I bought one from Amazon.

There’s 2 years and 9 months between my kids. I bought a Joovy Qool when I was pregnant with my second. The frame is no bigger than a single stroller because it can be a single, double or triple. I started with the toddler seat at the front and the car seat at the back. Once the youngest was old enough he moved to the toddler seat and my oldest used the bench seat or walked. It was easy to maneuver, unless I had a kid at the very front and was trying to turn while also going uphill. That was kind of challenging. It was super easy to fold. Worked well on gravel and snow, sand was a little trickier but doable and only 1 kid when on the sand. My youngest is almost 5 so we’ve been out of the stroller game for a while so I’m sure they’ve updated it, but give it a look!

The more you push the double stroller, the stronger you get...? Or get one thats easier to push?  So my thinking is sell the double stroller and put that toward a better one (used). We have the Joovy Qool. We had to travel from Canada to the USA to get ours lol since no one local had a good used triple.

Ours had the baby seats snap into the stroller frame sideways so you could see into both and after they grew out of it, I think we went through 3 or 4 strollers that were situationally dependent, both double wide and double long.

I think it was a joovy, don't remember exactly as that was over a decade ago. I asked my wife, yes it was a joovy.
