Do you walk & hike trails a lot right now? Next time you’re out, find a baby and ask the parents what they’re using (might take a few hikes to eventually find a baby of course but keep an eye out.) For any hikes on “rough” terrain we’ve only ever put our babies in the wearing carrier. Strollers just don’t cut it I find. Too annoying to fight big pieces of gravel. For any trails that are smoother and not as rough, our maxi cosi Lila stroller performed perfectly fine!

I don't understand the appeal of the Doona, it looks like the worst of both worlds between a car seat and an infant stroller. Unless you are going to be Ubering regularly I wouldn't get this. The Maxi Cosi lie flat thing is not for newborns; for newborns, you're supposed to use the car seat with that particular stroller. Just because it can lie flat doesn't mean it is appropriate for newborn use. The Vista either requires a bassinet or the Infant SnugSeat to use with newborns. The Vista is a great stroller but it is large; it's a good stroller if you are going to be out all day but not the best for navigating the subway with. If you think you will be riding the subway a lot, I would look at a travel-style stroller like the Babyzen Yoyo. They are smaller and lighter and will be easier to get up and down stairs and navigate through crowds. There's also the carrier options in lieu of a stroller. If you are going to be walking outside more, you could consider a larger stroller like the Vista.
