My stroller converted to a bassinet when we laid it all the way back and unbundled some areas (maxi cosi tayla) and it was nice when we had it but to be honest we used it maybe 5 times total. She seem more cozy in her car seat when she was an infant. After 6 ish months when they can sit up it’s not recommended anyways. I wouldn’t splurge honestly. Maybe look into a stroller if it converts so you have the option but I’m sure you wouldn’t miss it.

Maxi Cosi Tayla was super nice when I had it. Folds into a full bassinet and then tilts up to he’s regular seat.

Sorry to be That Guy but the life savers and regrets were the same for us. It depends on your baby, and your baby will change. Ours changed his mind on EVERYTHING. First month we NEEDED warm, cloth like wipes or he'd scream in our faces through every diaper change and then an extra minute for good measure. Now he doesn't care, and diaper change dances are his favorite game. The same thing happened with the bottle warmer which was an absolute necessity until it suddenly didn't matter at all. First couple of weeks we NEEDED the whole range of Halo swaddles because it was the only thing he'd sleep in, and the weather and house temperature was swinging wildly. About 2 weeks in, he wouldn't sleep till he fought his arms out of it. We couldn't get him to stay down until switching to Love to Dream Swaddle Ups, which are still a life saver for us as we're switching to the transition bags. For about a week, the baby swing was a life saver, then he started screaming anytime we started to put him in it. Tried another expensive baby swing from eBay with zero luck. The manual bouncer everyone swears by was a life saver during growth spurts because it was the only way we could set him down long enough to make a bottle, sandwich, etc. Then it only worked if we were bouncing it, which made it much less useful. We stumbled on the Munchkin auto bouncer which was magic for a week, then needed a mobile overhead to keep him soothed, which is working for less and less time now. It's still the best money we spent on swings/bouncers. He's changed his mind on almost all the wraps and carriers but will still tolerate the Momcozy air mesh wrap, Momcozy carrier and the Hippie Joey for a bit. (Even with minimalism, multiple wraps and carriers are helpful. My partner loves the carrier, I love the mesh wrap, and the Joey is nice for transitions and short periods.) The baby hates the expensive structured carrier, and doesn't tolerate the regular wrap long enough to make it worth the time to set it up. The day 1 to present life savers: the bottle washer, our rotating car seat (we take him out of the seat every time for safety and to save our backs), the stroller with 4 wheel suspension and a bassinet option (we love our Maxi Cosi Tayla though we chose to trade off dealing with a slightly more complicated fold and unfold to save half the price on other brands with the same features, and it feels weightless on walks!), oh yeah and THE BOTTLE WASHER. With all his shifts, the only things we really regret spending money on are the second swing and a glider that was ever so slightly uncomfortable which became the bane of our existence in the first week. We meant to be minimalists but we needed sleep more than the extra space, and I would buy everything other than those 2 again for the days it got us through. Though I'd also give my past day 1 self a Swaddle Up to see if the baby would like it from the start. And a hug.

Yep! Mind you, we used the heck out of the bassinet stroller for the first few months. But once he started sitting upright by himself he LOATHED the maxi cosi Tayla we got. It was a great system though. Also, food for thought, we initially got an infant carseat that docks in the truck and that we would take in and out. We upgraded to the babyjogger city view rotating one that stays in the truck and I wish we had skipped the infant carseat setup and jumped right to the rotating one. 100x easier and so convenient to get baby in and out of. We plan to get another from the start with our next baby

Ftm and we were gifted the silver cross reef 2. I love it and it feels so luxurious. I mostly keep this in the car for when we go out.. Easy one hand fold and unfold, it’s just heavy to load in and out of car but I went to see some other competitors and it was virtually same. I previously had purchased the maxi cosi tayla travel system bc I got it for a killer deal and wanted a second car seat. You can feel the difference in ride from both strollers but I appreciated how transformed into bassinet and seat easily. We used the bassinet a lot. I keep it for neighborhood walks and it’s parked inside the home.

I have the maxi-cosi luxe and have been using for three months now. We use it all the time. The bassinet is fantastic for taking the little one out and about and having him sleep in it. The bucket car seat fits in my mid-size SUV and keeps him comfortable. The stroller seems to hold up well folding and putting in the trunk of my car.

I got a maxi Cosi travel set and I’m so happy with it. We’ve outgrown the bucket seat attachment but I love that the bassinet converts into a seat that will last for a while longer. I feel like influencers are why those brands are popular and expensive.

We live in a rural area, so we checked facebook market place for the three biggest cities closest to us. Found high end brands for dirt cheap barely used. I can’t remember off the top of my head but I think we got an open box maxi cosi carseat stroller combo for $100. It was some set that would be $500+ normally brand new. I guess they received several of them at their baby shower so they sold the extra. We got lucky! :)
