I have the Mockingbird stroller with bassinet that i have used since my now 3 year old was born. She’s currently in the 99th percentile for height and 97 for weight (41 pounds) and still comfortably fits in the stroller (even took a nap in it a couple weeks ago). It’s easy to push with her in it still and I love the different configurations. Highly recommend

So a travel system is what you might like, that’s is what combines carrier and stroller and sometimes bassinet (most have that as something else you can buy though). Being in the city and no car I’d focus on smaller the better. The Doona is going to be your most compact option. Any other stroller/carrier combo is going to end up fairly big and bulky. And don’t get me wrong I loved our Chicco Bravo and really love our mockingbird but in an urban environment could see them being cumbersome.

We had a handmedown mockingbird. It was pretty easy to fold so 10/10 for me. But I didn’t really get to compare a lot. Whatever stroller you end up getting will probably be great but I am here to just add that getting a bassinet for the baby was one of the best decisions we made. Price per usage was excellent with this one. Granted we had a summer baby, walkable neighborhood, decent weather etc. good luck searching!

Pottery barn kids has a bunch to check out. But honestly ask your friends what they have and like/dislike. Strollers recommendation would be the mockingbird. I love how it looks and currently using it for my second child. It held up great and rides really smooth.

I never used a snap and go stroller with my singletons. We always just carried the car seat or I baby wore. I tried to not get another short term use stroller for the twins, because we had other double strollers that would work. It took 2 weeks of preschool drop offs for my oldest (into the school and out- not just drop at the curb) for me to realize that carrying two car seats wasn’t going to work long term for those quick trips in and out.   I got a cheap double snap and go from Marketplace, and we have a Mockingbird for when they’re a little bigger.  And a Wonderfold for when we need something for all 4 kids. (Basically a fleet of strollers now..)

Mockingbird here as well. Kind of surprised to not see it mentioned as much here? It's reasonably priced and modular.

Happy to share! I made the mistake of getting a full-sized stroller (Mockingbird) with my first and that was NOT travel friendly 😅 I sold it and we have been exclusively use “compact” strollers as primary since my son was about 1 and a half or maybe younger. We currently have used versions of the Minu v1 and the Babyzen YoYo. I strongly dislike the YoYo… the fold is two steps, requires two hands, and is too complicated for grandparents to do. The harness also detaches into 5 separate pieces which drives me crazy when trying to buckle. The Minu v1 is amazing as an everyday stroller. So sturdy, so easy to use. That said, now that we are expecting our second, I’m thinking about selling BOTH of our current strollers and putting that money towards a Minu v3 or Joolz Aer+, so that we have a more compact stroller that I actually enjoy using (unlike the YoYo). I do not think non-parent facing is a deal-breaker at all, and I think for travel you’ll be fine with just car seat. I would definitely look for strollers that fold with the car seat adapters and where you don’t need to remove the seat in order to use it with a car seat. That way once your baby is over 6 months (or younger if you are parked somewhere), baby can stretch out for a nap… but again, we did many car seat naps 🙂 I’m sorry I don’t know much about the other options you mention, but I think the Minu v3 is INCREDIBLE! I wouldn’t worry too much about finding a true “travel system” if you mean buying the car seat + stroller from the same brand. I thought I needed this too in the beginning, but it’s not necessary and might limit your options too much! just make sure the stroller works with a car seat (usually through adapters with easy click in and out) and can fold with the adapters on. Both the Minu (v2 and v3) and Joolz Aer+ can do that. My infant car seat is a Nuna Pipa.

Facebook mom groups and marketplace. My changing table & crib together would be $900 new. I got the changing table on a bidding site brand new for $125 and the crib used but in nearly new condition on fb marketplace for $50! I got the Mockingbird stroller for $250 on fb marketplace. I had a list of items I wanted and kept my eye in fb mom groups. 75% of my expensive baby items I got extremely affordably second hand great condition.

It’s not a full car system, but we love our mockingbird. We went ahead and got the evenflo 360 car seat so that it grows with her and we don’t have to buy another one. I’m very happy with the choice we made with that but also I think the mockingbird is affordable but a luxury. It rides smooth, baby is comfy, it has several attachments available you can buy if you want, and the biggest thing for me was that when we have a second kid, we can just add to the mockingbird instead of getting a whole new stroller

I had the Mockingbird single and I LOVED it. I wish we started with that one from the beginning instead of going through the frame stroller for the infant carrier and a crappy Jeep stroller. We just sold it and I’m still missing it :(
