I think you're honestly going to want a side by side, they are easier to fold up for travel generally and they make more travel options in side by side. You can get a mountain buggy nano from an open box site like albee baby for under $300, and I can vouch that it is a fantastic stroller. Folds very small and is very lightweight while still not feeling like junk to push. It is also surprisingly narrow and should fit through any doorway wide enough for a wheelchair. There are much less expensive options than that, I just can't vouch for them personally!
r/parentsofmultiples • Best travel stroller for twins? ->The mountain buggy was my daily driver til my twins were over a year! We recently switched to a Zoe twin because I wanted something a little sturdier for day to day now that they are big. Hanging onto our nano for travel though! The thing I like best about it for travel is that it folds into thirds so it gets shockingly small. The folding process is a little more fiddly than other strollers because of that, but as a travel stroller I think it's worth an extra 20 seconds or so. You honestly may find you like a side by side better for day to day too. I find them soooo much easier to maneuver as long as you fit through doorways (again, never had an issue with the mountain buggy nano!).
r/parentsofmultiples • Best travel stroller for twins? ->So we have a mountain buggy nano duo for my 13 month old twins that I got primarily because I wanted to be able to easily throw it in the trunk and get it in and out without breaking my back. It's been great, but this past week we rented a baby jogger at Disney World and I can't stop thinking about how sturdy it was, and how much comfier the babies seemed in it. I also loved the higher weight limit for my 3 year old to take turns in. I really don't think the baby jogger is for me permanently, primarily because it is SO bulky and heavy, but I did a little research and it is seeming like the Zoe Twin might be the best of both worlds. I have a couple of questions for anyone who has one, though! -How sturdy does the stroller feel when you're out and about? I loved being able to hook my backpack to the handle of the baby jogger without being worried it would fall over backwards (definitely can't do that with the mountain buggy). -Does it steer fairly smoothly? Can you do it with one hand? -Are the all terrain wheels worth it? It would be nice to cut through grass or gravel without worrying. -How upright are the seats in the most upright position? The mountain buggy's most upright seat position is still a bit more reclined than I like for snacking. I super appreciate any answers y'all have for me! I've been trawling reviews but I trust this group the most. I think we might keep the mountain buggy for when I need a really light option but the bigger these guys get the more I'm feeling like I want a sturdier, comfier daily driver.
r/parentsofmultiples • Zoe Twin stroller questions ->We're in Canada so I have a mountain buggy nano duo. We've traveled with it to Europe and gate checked it. Works well, has the features you mentioned. Not sure how it compares to Zoe though, as we don't have that up here. Only complaint is the belly bar is a add on AND you can't fold the stroller without removing it, although it does fold with the bar chucked into the basket
r/toddlers • Best double stroller for 4 year old and 1 year old? ->I wish I had gotten the frame stroller tandem for the first bit. We got one that converted but didn’t end up using the seats. We switch to mountain buggy urban side by side at 6 months. Best decision ever. It also fit through standard doors. Maybe a touch more bulky when in the car but my kids lived in that stroller for 2 years
r/parentsofmultiples • Has anyone bought a tandem stroller but later regretted not getting a side-by-side instead? ->Mountain buggy nano duo is about as narrow as they come for a side by side. You can get bassinet attachments for when they’re really young. I think it fits through most doorways. I would hesitate to attach two prams to each other as pushing a pram that’s specifically designed to be side by side and front/back double pram can be challenging enough as it is.
r/parentsofmultiples • What stroller to buy? ->If you want a single-to-double stroller that’s really versatile, the [Mountain Buggy Nano Duo](https://www.reddit.com/r/KeepThisInMind/comments/1lourwj/recommend_the_best_double_strollers_for_travel/) gets great reviews. It’s compact as a single and handles well as a double, plus folds up small for travel.
r/Buyingforbaby • Single to Double vs Single strollers? ->Agreed. Bought ours second hand and I love it. They’re a sturdy bit of kit and it works on sand and rough terrain
r/UKParenting • Double pushchair recommendations? ->Mountain buggy duet/duo - we had a ridiculously narrow front door and it was the only one that fit! Also relatively inexpensive in comparison to others (and you can buy the add on pram and shopping bits too)
r/UKParenting • Double pushchair recommendations? ->We had the same. Recommend
r/UKParenting • Double pushchair recommendations? ->j’ai eu une mountain buggy twin, nickel sur les sentiers et dans la colline / campagne
r/ParentingFR • Poussette tout terrain ->We have the Mountain Buggy Nano which does “fit” the Cosco Scenera. For whatever reason, our 3yo has decided it’s her preferred stroller over our Uppababy so we’ve used it A LOT in the past few months. As an everyday stroller, it’s just ok. I miss the Uppababy’s much smoother ride. The big plus is that our kid really likes it. It’s a little small. I’m 5’8” and it’s a hair too short for me. Both my husband and I have accidentally engaged the brake by taking a big step. The folding/unfolding mechanism is not intuitive, and requires two hands and emptying out nearly all the storage, so it’s best used like a regular stroller that you happened to bring on a plane or in a car, it’s not something that makes trains and buses that much easier other than being lightweight.
r/nycparents • Cosco Scenera Travel Stroller Rec ->We have a Cosco Scenera seat mainly for getting to and from airports, occasionally to get around the city. Our strollers are an Uppababy Vista, which can accommodate the car seat in the basket, and the Mountain Buggy Nano which has a universal infant car seat attachment system and a supposedly popular toddler carseat attachment hack. All that being said, we almost never go anywhere that requires that we lug the car seat with us at the destination. It’s too much equipment. These clever travel ideas don’t account for all the toddler stuff we have to carry around anyway, so getting either stroller perfectly packed so that they can go into a car trunk without raining out a bag’s worth of stale cracker crumbs only happens if we’re flying. What we actually do is 1) check if the destination has coat check or stroller parking to leave the car seat there, 2) figure out how to get there via public transportation with the travel stroller and/or a toddler carrier (apparently I’m often the only person that’s ever worn a 2yo because people were constantly surprised to see my giant monster of a child looming over them), or we put off going until kid is out of the car seat and ready for a booster/harness. Our wishlist of city destinations isn’t that long, just take the subway.
