We went with nuna demi grow since we had the lightweight infant carrier from nuna. We didn't get the bassinet for the stroller and just used the infant carrier until they were old enough for the seat. It is large and heavy stroller through. For day to day look at a light stroller that is compatible with your infant carrier. [compatibility chart](https://www.babylist.com/hello-baby/car-seat-stroller-compatibility) That way you can actually use it for going into the many appointments you have early on.
Nuna Demi grow has been the greatest of all time! I’ve had it for 6 years and my two kids are still both comfortable in it and I have drive them around with one had it’s so balanced well.
I got the CYBEX car seat that swivels and it has lasted me 6 years and I got the Nuna demo grow stroller because of the option to use it with two kids, and I have used it SO MUCH over the last six years with my two children and I still use it to this day with a six year-old and a three-year-old they both still fit great
I looooooove my Nuna Demi Grow double stroller! I’ve used it since my first was born 6 years ago and he and now his 3 yr old sister both still fit in their seats and it’s still easy to push around. 50 lbs max PER SEAT!
I got the Nuna Demi grow 6 years ago with my first, I wasn’t sure I was going to have a second child, so I just got it with the one regular seat and with a Nuna Pippa car seat, and the bassinet. I did not use the bassinet at all, but just the car seat with the stroller and then with the stroller seat was amazing and the very best part of it was when I finally did have another kid I could put the larger kid on the bottom and keep the littlest kid on the top with no steering issues. Now my oldest is like six years old and my youngest is three and they both fit in there perfectly still, the older one on the bottom he just climbs himself right and it’s like his little cave. We took it to Disney world even! It is nice cuz it fits through doors just fine but is also not very long! Also both the top seat and the bottom seat hold up to 50 pounds each.
I regret it! We got a single stroller for our first baby. Our logic was that the single-to-doubles are more expensive and we didn’t know if we’d be able to have more kids since it took over 5 years to get pregnant the first time. Our kids ended up being under 2 years apart, and we bought a single-to-double (Nuna Mixx). So we definitely would have saved if we just started with the single-to-double just in case. It is pretty easy to maneuver. The Nuna Mixx is pretty unique in how the bottom seat almost goes underneath the top. So some downsides are less storage space and less options for the seat positions. But I think it’s worth the trade off for how it takes up less space and is easy to maneuver, fit through doorways, etc.
Late to this but please don’t get the nuna Demi grow if you prioritize a smooth push. Even without a kid in it, it pushes horribly. I blindly got it without testing it out because a lot of people recommended it and I loved the double seat on the bottom. Second baby isn’t even here yet, I’m not even willing to give it a chance. Going to lose money on trying to resell it for sure. For a smooth ride, I’d recommend any stroller with air filled tires. For ex bob has a veryyyy easy push double strollers. Had two big kids in it and felt like I was pushing air!
I bought a Nuna travel system with my first (4 years ago) and am using it again now. I have the Demi grow, which is no longer on the market. But I’ve really liked it. I believe it was replaced by the Mixx. It’s held up well, does decently on different terrains, comfortable to push, easy to fold, feels sturdy. It has the ability to be a double stroller and my tall four year old has climbed in. The only cons we’ve found over the years are: - seat is always slightly reclined which my very curious kid didn’t always love because it impacted his view. - taking the car seat off the stroller is a bit annoying because you have to press and hold buttons on either side of the car seat to lift it off.
Everyone's experience will be different but we bought a Nuna Demi Grow stroller second hand and bought the bassinet attachment separately from Nuna. Still cost us roughly $700. That thing was great for like the first 4-6 months then my daughter refused to ever go in the stroller again, and we tried many types. So, we ended up carrying her all the time until she could walk, and now she just walks everywhere. I know it's good for her but damn I wish she would use the stroller so we could go on longer walks or just move faster places haha. So in summary, no. I don't think I would spend a lot of money on a stroller again that might only get used for a few months.
I LOVE my Demi and get compliments on it in double mode all the time. My kiddos don’t seem cramped at all, and my 6yo still sits in it comfortably. I love that it doesn’t take up a huge footprint when we’re out in public, the push is amazing even when loaded up, and it’s done great off road. The canopies are amazing, and the all weather seat has been a god send for us in TX. I’d have to take the double seat off the Vista also to get it in the trunk. My friend has the Vista and her son is always sitting IN the basket 🤷🏻♀️I don’t carry more than a small backpack when we go out, but truthfully I don’t miss any space the seat takes up.
This is the comment! Go out to Bambi baby to try them all out. We’re also in a walk up, multiple kids, and had many strollers in Hoboken (mockingbird, bob jogging, uppa travel, Nuna demi grow, and bugaboo). Bugaboo butterfly is the best lightweight stroller for carrying on stairs.
How big is your trunk? I have a small car and bulky stroller (nuna Demi grow, similar to the vista) and it takes up my entire trunk, especially when my son got older and needed the seat instead of the car seat attaching to it. We have a mini v2 now that we got for travel and use with our second kid, it’s so much more convenient. We never used a stroller bassinet for either kid, but some people swear by them. For the infant car seat the uppababy ones are known for being outgrown quickly, join a car seat safety group and they can give you recommendations for car seats that’ll fit your car. I personally bought a nuna before I learned about anything and I probably would have gone for a cheaper Graco now looking back. They use them for such a short time!
Don’t splurge on the infant car seat, there’s no need to spend 500 dollars on something they’ll use for a year at max. The Graco infant seats are well regarded, and many strollers will have adapters for it. I bought a nuna seat and somewhat regret the money spent but it is what it is. For a winter baby I definitely recommend an infant seat, we live in a cold climate and it was so convenient to pop our seat into the stroller. Strollers are so personal and honestly you won’t find one that really checks all the boxes if you want to do things like travel. We have a nuna demi grow because I originally wanted kids closer but that didn’t happen, and I’ve barely used that stroller with baby #2. I have the uppababy minu that’s been our go to because it’s light and we bought car seat adapters for it, but the basket isn’t very roomy at all. My friend has a Thule jogger which is great for slushy and snowy weather, and she got adapters for her car seat. I would have picked the uppababy Cruz for my daily stroller if I could go back!
