Nuna Demi grow has been the greatest of all time! I’ve had it for 6 years and my two kids are still both comfortable in it and I have drive them around with one had it’s so balanced well.
r/BabyBumps • Don’t get the uppababy vista stroller if you plan on using it for two ->I got the Nuna Demi grow 6 years ago with my first, I wasn’t sure I was going to have a second child, so I just got it with the one regular seat and with a Nuna Pippa car seat, and the bassinet. I did not use the bassinet at all, but just the car seat with the stroller and then with the stroller seat was amazing and the very best part of it was when I finally did have another kid I could put the larger kid on the bottom and keep the littlest kid on the top with no steering issues. Now my oldest is like six years old and my youngest is three and they both fit in there perfectly still, the older one on the bottom he just climbs himself right and it’s like his little cave. We took it to Disney world even! It is nice cuz it fits through doors just fine but is also not very long! Also both the top seat and the bottom seat hold up to 50 pounds each.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I got the CYBEX car seat that swivels and it has lasted me 6 years and I got the Nuna demo grow stroller because of the option to use it with two kids, and I have used it SO MUCH over the last six years with my two children and I still use it to this day with a six year-old and a three-year-old they both still fit great
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->Late to this but please don’t get the nuna Demi grow if you prioritize a smooth push. Even without a kid in it, it pushes horribly. I blindly got it without testing it out because a lot of people recommended it and I loved the double seat on the bottom. Second baby isn’t even here yet, I’m not even willing to give it a chance. Going to lose money on trying to resell it for sure. For a smooth ride, I’d recommend any stroller with air filled tires. For ex bob has a veryyyy easy push double strollers. Had two big kids in it and felt like I was pushing air!
r/daddit • Best double stroller that pushes smooooothly? And has decent basket space? ->I bought a Nuna travel system with my first (4 years ago) and am using it again now. I have the Demi grow, which is no longer on the market. But I’ve really liked it. I believe it was replaced by the Mixx. It’s held up well, does decently on different terrains, comfortable to push, easy to fold, feels sturdy. It has the ability to be a double stroller and my tall four year old has climbed in. The only cons we’ve found over the years are: - seat is always slightly reclined which my very curious kid didn’t always love because it impacted his view. - taking the car seat off the stroller is a bit annoying because you have to press and hold buttons on either side of the car seat to lift it off.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [bc] Best travel strollers Canada - is Nuna worth it ->I LOVE my Demi and get compliments on it in double mode all the time. My kiddos don’t seem cramped at all, and my 6yo still sits in it comfortably. I love that it doesn’t take up a huge footprint when we’re out in public, the push is amazing even when loaded up, and it’s done great off road. The canopies are amazing, and the all weather seat has been a god send for us in TX. I’d have to take the double seat off the Vista also to get it in the trunk. My friend has the Vista and her son is always sitting IN the basket 🤷🏻♀️I don’t carry more than a small backpack when we go out, but truthfully I don’t miss any space the seat takes up.
r/Buyingforbaby • So overwhelmed by strollers: Nuna or Bugaboo? ->How big is your trunk? I have a small car and bulky stroller (nuna Demi grow, similar to the vista) and it takes up my entire trunk, especially when my son got older and needed the seat instead of the car seat attaching to it. We have a mini v2 now that we got for travel and use with our second kid, it’s so much more convenient. We never used a stroller bassinet for either kid, but some people swear by them. For the infant car seat the uppababy ones are known for being outgrown quickly, join a car seat safety group and they can give you recommendations for car seats that’ll fit your car. I personally bought a nuna before I learned about anything and I probably would have gone for a cheaper Graco now looking back. They use them for such a short time!
r/beyondthebump • Best stroller/travel system ->Don’t splurge on the infant car seat, there’s no need to spend 500 dollars on something they’ll use for a year at max. The Graco infant seats are well regarded, and many strollers will have adapters for it. I bought a nuna seat and somewhat regret the money spent but it is what it is. For a winter baby I definitely recommend an infant seat, we live in a cold climate and it was so convenient to pop our seat into the stroller. Strollers are so personal and honestly you won’t find one that really checks all the boxes if you want to do things like travel. We have a nuna demi grow because I originally wanted kids closer but that didn’t happen, and I’ve barely used that stroller with baby #2. I have the uppababy minu that’s been our go to because it’s light and we bought car seat adapters for it, but the basket isn’t very roomy at all. My friend has a Thule jogger which is great for slushy and snowy weather, and she got adapters for her car seat. I would have picked the uppababy Cruz for my daily stroller if I could go back!
r/BabyBumps • Car seats and strollers? ->Good to know, I literally just saw a mockingbird in public and I was truthfully kinda jealous of the amount of cargo space even while carrying both children. My Nuna Demi Grow has 0 cargo space with 2 toddlers. But it has very respectable handling on bumps and such in my opinion. But maybe that's a biased opinion since I'm a bigger dude who is used to those absolutely junk cheaper toddler strollers from the 90s and early 2000s.
r/parentsofmultiples • Best Stroller for Twins ->We have the Nuna Demi Grow I believe it's called. For infants it was absolutely amazing, it's stacked more vertically than horizontally so you can easily fit 2 infant carriers and have the same footprint as a singleton stroller. Nice and narrow for doorways, nice and short for navigating tightly packed stores. Now that our twins are getting into the toddler stage and have outgrown their infant carriers though the honeymoon phase is ending. When using it with 2 toddler seats you lose what little cargo space you might have had with the infant seats. So you have to either carry the diaper bag or use straps to hang it from the handle, leaving it hanging right over the head of the lower child. We also have the older version (Demi Grow vs Demi Next I believe it is) so the toddler seats are quite reclined even in their highest position. Which our twins are definitely not fans of, they're always pulling themselves up to lean forward for a better view. On the plus side it is light enough that might wife can easily manage it by herself when I'm not around. Also, like most decent twin strollers, it does fold down nice and small, but in order to fold it you have to remove the lower seat and put it aside somewhere as a second piece. Our kids are also at that awkward age where they're getting heavy, but also barely walking so you have to put them in their seat. Which is a real treat on that lower seat.
r/parentsofmultiples • Best Stroller for Twins ->One; nuna demi grow. Spent lots on it so I don’t need a second one, that was the point of a doubles stroller when I had one kid. Now I have two kids I’m getting its full purpose. We also have a citi stroller at the in-laws with a skateboard attachment.
r/Mommit • How many strollers do you have? ->2 kids ( 2.5 and 3.5 ) - We got 2 wagons ( a wonderfold and a baby trend expedition ) - a Nuna Demi grow (single to double stroller) - mountain buggy nano ( single travel stroller / stays in the car at all times ) If we end up booking an international trip this summer/fall I will be getting a mountain buggy duo.
r/Mommit • How many strollers do you have? ->The vista v2 comes with a bassinet. The Nuna demi does not come with a bassinet and I don't think the new UB v3 does either. For the high price points it's total bullshit you have to buy everything separately. Definitely make sure you double check if you are buying new (also use registry discounts). If buying used i'd look into a V2 personally. I've seen a bunch on marketplace that are reasonably priced and in good condition. Also be aware some bassinets don't have clips so baby is just free balling. We used it a handle of times, mostly walks around the neighborhood and we took it when we knew we were going someplace for a while (as you don't want them in a car seat for so long).
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I think you either mean Nuna Demi or Uppa Baby vista. I really do think there can be a difference in fabrics and comfort. For me the most important thing that lead me to Nuna was being flame retardant free & PFAS (forever chemical) free. Now if those aren’t deal breakers for you, you could certainly be happy with some other travel systems. I have a love hate relationship with our Nuna Demi. I bought it because it converts into a double stroller, thinking we’d have multiple babies. But we’re probably now in the “one and done” crew. So I’m stuck with a very heavy stroller & wont be using the biggest benefit of the stroller. If I could go back in time, I’d probably get the Nuna Triv instead.
