I feel like it depends how washable they are. We have the Nuna light grey (Nordstrom curated) and the fabrics are super high quality and when washed come out like new. I prefer the light color because it doesn’t get as hot.
We got a Nuna Demi. I did a lot of research, and it was the best combo I found - wool for a lot of it, no flame retardants, and newborn safe. It can lay flat enough for a newborn with the base seat, compared to some other Nuna models (though there are other Nuna models). We returned the bassinet, as I didn’t like the materials (description didn’t match content), and the size was too unique for sheets. You could also get a Pipa car seat and attach it, but we opted for a Rava.
I think you either mean Nuna Demi or Uppa Baby vista. I really do think there can be a difference in fabrics and comfort. For me the most important thing that lead me to Nuna was being flame retardant free & PFAS (forever chemical) free. Now if those aren’t deal breakers for you, you could certainly be happy with some other travel systems. I have a love hate relationship with our Nuna Demi. I bought it because it converts into a double stroller, thinking we’d have multiple babies. But we’re probably now in the “one and done” crew. So I’m stuck with a very heavy stroller & wont be using the biggest benefit of the stroller. If I could go back in time, I’d probably get the Nuna Triv instead.
I think this depends so much on your oldest and how much they like the stroller. I have two double strollers now (21m age gap) and use them both equally. My nuna demi stays in my car because it can be a double or a single and is compatible with my infant seat. I love how low profile the second seat is, it goes down beneath in the basket. It’s so easy to maneuver with one or two kids in it because the size is unchanged. My other double is the Zoe twin, and I loooove this. I have the V2 so it’s compatible with my infant seat as well with adapters. I keep this by my front door for walks and bring it with me for the zoo, museums, theme parks. I love it because my oldest can climb in and out on his own, my baby is facing me in her infant seat so I can keep a close eye on her, and the stroller is narrow enough for normal doorways! I think what’s important is there is no one stroller that will fulfill all of your needs. I bought the zoe when my youngest was 6w old, but had my demi from when my first was born. I genuinely love them both and feel like I need them both haha.
I got a nuna demi for my first because I was hoping for another baby! It’s an amazing stroller as a single and the double conversion is really low key, not in your face. Now I have my second and have a 21m age gap and use my demi still as my daily. My toddler fits well in either seat and I click in my baby in be nina pipa (need nuna car seat if you buy any nuna stroller). I did end up buying a zoe twin as well because the demi isn’t best for zoo or museum trips where both kids want to see, since the second seat goes below. Side by side is fun too. The demi lives in my car though since it can be a single or a double.
I went with Nuna Demi cause I liked the double configurations better. I’ve been told the vista is difficult to push once you have both kids on it. Since the bigger weight is in the front. Butt I have heard that Nuna customer service is trash and uppababy is amazing. So that’s something to keep in mind.
Following this because I’m in the exact same boat, deciding between the uppababy vista and the nuna Demi, both about the same price. We thought it was a somewhat reasonable price for a good stroller but the reactions have been mixed haha.
Pretty much yes haha. Also just people with more vs less money, my mom was like “that’s a lot but it’s probably worth it!” And my husband’s parents were stunned, like “I think they have some for $100?” Hahah. The Demi is basically the Nuna version of the Vista, built for multiple kids. I’m pretty set on the Nuna pipa rx for the carrier so I’m temped to go for the Demi and do the whole Nuna package. I tested both in a store and the Vista does feel slightlyyy sturdier, and you can use an adapter to put the Pipa carrier on the Vista. But when you use the Vista in two child mode you have to put the baby on the bottom and the older kid up top, which just feels kinda weird to me. The child seat is also smaller on the Vista with a lower weight limit. Also the Demi folded a lot nicer than the Vista in my opinion, and was easier to pick up and carry. I have a friend with the Demi and one with the Vista and they both totally love them so I feel like it’s hard to go wrong with either, but the stroller world has SO many options that making a decision has been really tough haha.
