Personally I really liked the nuna but the seat is a little smaller so I decided in the UB cruz. From online reviews and friends who've gotten it, kids grow out of it sometimes before 2 years old (even smaller for their age kids). I wanted the stroller to ideally last at least until 2-3 years old.

I’m also a FTM due in May! I chose the Nuna Demi Next stroller with the Nuna Pipa Aire RX car seat. Nuna’s a premium brand so these are both pretty expensive, but there are a lot of options at lower price points with similar features. I was exclusively choosing between Uppababy and Nuna in single-to-double options. Infant bucket seats generally can be used for about the first year. There are height and weight limits, but as soon as your baby maxes out either one of those, you’d need to move up to the next car seat - likely, height will be maxed out before weight. After your baby outgrows the bucket seat, you’ll want a convertible car seat that’s able to be rear facing. Car seats expire 7 years after the manufacturing date, so while you’d technically be fine to buy the convertible seat now, I’d probably wait until next year’s Black Friday sales to purchase it.

I bought the Nuna Demi Next for this reason, in case we have two kids with a small age gap. The configurations are flexible but in the most commonly shown one you have the heavier older kid close to the back wheels looking out (easy steering and also a smaller chance to tip the whole system) and the smaller baby facing the parent at the top. It came with a bassinet and a stroller seat and both of them can fit in either position so there's no need to buy extra attachments. The downside is that it's a bit bulky and doesn't fold as well as a travel stroller, but my husband and I don't own a car so fitting it in the trunk is not a concern and it might be beneficial us to have a sturdy stroller to push on the ice and snow.

BabyBjörn bouncer, Ergobaby Omni Breeze carrier and Nuna Demi Next stroller with bassinet have been worth every cent so far. If I owned a car I would have bought a more lightweight stroller and a travel system compatible car seat. I don't own a baby monitor, camera, bottle warmer, wipe warmer, a formula mixer, bottle washer or a sidecar bassinet, and I haven't felt their absence. We have a changing table but it was a hand me down and not really necessary because we do most diaper changes on the floor on a disposable sheet. The baby can lie on any old blanket during the day and he sleeps in the crib at night. I use ready to use formula, warm the wipes in my hand, use kettle boiled water and a coffee mug to heat up refrigerated breast milk containers, wash bottles in the dishwasher and I use the microwave to sterilize bottles and to heat up formula.

Hate the configurations of the vista. Baby basically has to be on the bottom which is the opposite of what makes sense to me- I want my younger child (therefore more likely to need attention) closer to me. With the Demi you basically lose the basket when you use as a double. Bugaboo just dropped the price on the kangaroo so it makes it more apples to apples when you consider the bassinet is included!

We have the Nuna DEMI Next Stroller with Rider Board and I love it!! My daughter is 21 months and loves riding on the rider board, the additional seat or our Nuna car seat are easy to attach. It obviously doesn’t fold up as small as a single stroller but I don’t find it overly large

I went with Nuna Demi cause I liked the double configurations better. I’ve been told the vista is difficult to push once you have both kids on it. Since the bigger weight is in the front. Butt I have heard that Nuna customer service is trash and uppababy is amazing. So that’s something to keep in mind.

I think you need to see the context you live in. Like, I live in a very old town in Europe so our sidewalks and streets are VERY uneven and made of cobblestones, so I prioritize getting a stroller with big wheels and nice suspensions, and with a very sturdy frame. We settled for the Nuna Demi next and I'm very happy with it. It is big and a bit cumbersome to pack in the car, but I use it far more to walk around my neighborhood than to do errands. We recently acquired a travel one (the Nuna trvl xl. we are travelling soon) and boy is it a nightmare to maneuver it on cobblestones, but very foldable, lightweight and compact. We chose everything from the same brand so everything would be compatible without a hassle and adapters. And honestly I'm very happy with my choice.

I got a Nuna Demi Next and we love it. I love that it has a bassinet attachment and we used the crap out of it, but I also don’t know that we NEEDED the luxury version had we found something mid-range that had everything. Strollers get beat UP over time, especially when you have a toddler who likes to miss their mouth with snacks. lol

We have spent a little more and went with the nuna demi nexxt. We don’t know if we want to have a second child but this way we don’t have to get an other stroller if we do decide. With a single child you have a very large basket and it’s very sturdy so far. My dog is now in the basket below chilling and guarding. Would recommend this, but I know it’s a heavily increase in price

Also the stroller came with adapters to fit every car seat so our maxi Cosi fits on it, and it came with lots of other accessories

I have the Nuna demi next and unless you are a power lifter I would not recommend it in NYC with all the subway stairs. The frame is heavy (not too heavy to put in and out of the car), but if I have to carry the whole thing a few times a day up and down stairs I would not be happy. Besides that I love the stroller! It’s very sturdy and the bassinet is a bit longer then other strollers. And I love how you can fold the bassinet flat to fit in the car better

We went with the Nuna Demi Next and Pipa URBN. This will be our first too and we’d love a similar age gap to you. The Demi Next can be a double stroller but also came with a fun rider board attachment. We also like that the car seat is baseless.
