I’m a soon to be parent, did a huge research for strollers, tested out all good ones and I landed on Nuna Mixx next BMW Edition. It costed me 2800 with Fazaa discount in Centerpoint. Here are the Pros: it’s BMW of strollers, it is easy to push and control, its premium and I’ve heared it’s easy to clean and baby is comfortable in this. It has good suspension and wheels so it makes it the best stroller for use in pavements, roads and malls. This is said to last for 4 years so that’s something to consider too. Cons: It is big and little heavy than other strollers. So you need good space and energy to load it in the truck.

Great gift idea however I would consent with the parents first since it’s an extremely personal item & parents put a lot of thought into what, how they want the stroller to be for their child’s utmost comfort and safety. That said, you are likely going to receive tons of random recommendations here to an already confused delima you may be going thru. To keep things simple, pick any that fits your budget from the Nuna range, personally I’d go with the Mixx Nxt, they are quite versatile, should last from new born till 2yrs. You’ve to also ensure the stroller fits in their car’s boot and both the parents are able fold, unfold and lift the stroller individually. If it works, I would instead offer a gift card for the Galleria Mall and let the parents pick one of their choice.

We got the Nuna Mixx Next + Nuna Car Seat as we found it to be a bit less bulky than the UppaBaby we saw in person. The stroller and car seat were two places we were feeling ok to splurge since they’re long term used vs several months (ie. I haven’t bought any clothes for my September baby yet but have gotten a ton of second hand pieces from my girlfriend whose daughter has outgrown the clothes)! Happy to give you the exact numbers we paid but we just searched for discounts high and low essentially and were able to snag the duo for $1200 (this was back in May). My in laws later surprised us and said that would be their gift to us which was incredibly generous and unexpected but I still felt good about the price we paid. I opted for a cheaper color because the aesthetic wasn’t as important vs the device to me!

It was the edge hill collection (sold only at Dillards I guess) but we snagged it before the Tariffs hit in the US so paid $550 for the car seat and $650 for the stroller 😭 It’s the pink stroller - was hoping for a neutral but the price different couldn’t be justified for aesthetics: https://nunababy.com/usa/mixx-next-compact-stroller?color_ref=16853

Mind if I ask what single stroller you had? We love our nuna mixx but it seems like all the double strollers we’re looking at will be a step down in wheel size and suspension/sturdiness. Whereas the jogging strollers are massive and can’t lay flat

Had a secondhand Bugaboo Chameleon with our first and it was really fantastic, we had quite a few extras included luckily, they get very pricey. After a couple of house moves we got rid of it before our second. We then got the Nuna Mixx Next which comes with all the extras and is very reasonably priced so that was great but I still preferred the Bugaboo. Definitely go and test at Babypark. Congratulations 🎊

We got the Nuna Mixx Next, we live in London. It’s been on many a bus, train, tube, black cab as well as several planes to various other countries. It’s still in great condition after our first and we’re about to get the bassinet back out for our second. Highly recommend.

I got the Nuna Next for this exact reason, seemed like the best compromise and it’s worked really well for us for the last 2.5 years including multiple holidays.

But the actual stroller seat can’t be switched around like it can on, for example, the Nuna Mix Next. So as soon as they’re out of the infant car seat and in the normal stroller seat, they’re forward all the time.

We have the Nuna Mixx Next and it’s been amazing great stroller. Like you said, it goes flat for sleep and it’s a very sturdy stroller. We’re three years and two kids in and still using it. The only drawback is that it’s not convenient to fold if you want to take the subway and there’s no elevator. But there’s no perfect stroller so I think this one is as good as it gets.

I’m almost 7 months pp and I went back and forth about the stroller for months. I ended up getting a Nuna Mixx Next and a Pipa rx car seat. Initially I was thinking the mixx next would be too heavy and almost got a smaller version. So glad I didn’t. I’m obsessed with this stroller. I use it almost everyday, travel via car everyday and go for walks in both paved and non paved terrain. I was able to find a nib on fb marketplace for $600. Now that I’ve had it for awhile, I’d probably pay full price honestly. My sister has an Uppababy vista and it’s nowhere near as smooth and easy to maneuver as the mixx next. The car seat adapter is also extremely user friendly and I don’t have any issue getting in and out of the car. I have string bean arms lol. Let me know if you have any other questions!

My husband and I are going to Italy for 2.5 weeks with our 9.5 month old. We are bringing our doona and carrier for when we are walking around in different towns, visiting wineries, exploring etc.. My question is: do we bring our main stroller (Nuna mixx next)?? It seems like it would be so nice to have walking around (our daughter loves this stroller, it’s easy to stroll around, the storage would be great so we don’t have to wear a backpack, and I love the fact our daughter can face the other way to see around. The reason why my husband doesn’t want to take it is because he thinks it could be easily damaged in transit and he thinks the doona is good enough. Any thoughts on this? Any experience traveling w a doona vs a main stroller or traveling with a main stroller? Is it a pain? Wish you would have left it at home or brought it?

That’s what I was thinking!! The larger wheels on my main stroller seemed to me like it would be way better! Not taking buses. We will have our car and traveling through different regions that way. Thank you for explaining it!
