We decided to not worry about the cost and get the Nuna triv + pipa aire combo. My baby absolutely hated it. He screamed every time we went anywhere. Finally caved at 3 months and bought a convertible car seat (graco turn2me) and a bassinet stroller (mompush) which are both relatively cheap. It has been a total game changer! I can't tell you what to buy exactly, but if you're in between two options- just get the cheaper one.
r/pregnant • please just tell me what stroller to get ->The new Joolz Aer2 has a full recline. Do you technically need a bassinet if it has a full recline and you are confident strapping the baby in? I think the nice thing about the Nuna Triv/Swiv is that the Lytl Bassinet comes with a stand. So you also get a portable travel and secondary bassinet. That is great for setting up a bassinet in a living room or office while one parent stays up with baby and the other parent gets protected sleep in the bedroom. However it's now a $500 retail, but i'm pretty sure you can buy on facebook market place and plan on selling it later to recoup most of the cost.
r/nycparents • Best bassinet strollers for newborns in the city? ->General consensus is Joolz Aer usurped the yoyo for best lightweight travel stroller that fits in an airplane overhead. Swiv and triv are like light and easy to fold versions of the uppababy cruz. Triv/swiv allow the chair to face backwards towards a part which some people like during the transition out of the bassinet. Other parents don't care going straight to forward facing seats. The new joolz aer has a full recline which means you might be able skip buying a bassinet attachment if you feel comfortable strapping in the newborn. It seems like the hive mind 5 years ago was either yoyo or uppababy cruz. But these days it's definitely joolz aer, but a toss up between uppababy or nuna for the cruz/triv/swiv form factor. Cruz is harder to fold and bigger folded, but more durable. Triv/swiv is smaller folder, lighter, and has a one handed fold at the cost of durability. If you have an elevator building and storage space uppababy seems nice.... But if you need to carry a stroller up stairs in a walk up brownstone the lightweight nuna strollers might be a better option. I have both a swiv and aer+. I like having both for different types of outings. But probably should have gotten a used joolz aer to save money as a travel beater stroller.
r/nycparents • Nuna Swiv vs Yoyo stroller ->They only come bundled with certain strollers. Because of the weight limit and stroller I wanted, I just got a pipa aire. It will last longer than the urbn due to weight limits. The seatbelt hooks are easy to use.
r/nycparents • Car Seat for the Carless? ->We got the Nuna aire + trvl lx for $900, but if you get at Nordstrom or Bloomingdale’s and buy through Rakuten you can save quite a bit of $. Both are light and easy to fold and load in the car!
r/BabyBumps • Tell Me About Your Strollers! ->Are you me??? Im dying withoununa aire rx rn!! I am 5’5 and my husband is over a foot taller than me. We are going with the silver cross reef 2, bugaboo butterfly and nuna aire rx. The silver cross is soooo smooth and lux, it will last forever but it can be heavy (I plan on removing the seat from the frame when I put it in the car). We got the bundle with the bassinet attachment that’s safe for sleep for around $1,500. Then we got the bugaboo butterfly ($450) for travel, but that’s for when babe is around 6 months old. It’s super light weight and has a tall back, which is good if you end up with a taller kiddo. Picked the nuna aire rx ($600) because it’s so light weight, I like the features and materials. I found a lot of the cheaper options fall apart quickly and don’t seem comfy at all, but obviously every baby is different. There is no wrong option, everything does the same thing and goes through the same safety inspections
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->How are you finding the Nuna Aire / Minu combo? We got this combo for a travel system.
r/BabyBumps • What were your splurge expenses you're happy with? ->we bought a travel stroller (cybex libelle) and a big stroller (nuna triv next) - ended up using the travel stroller like, 99% of the time. Big stroller just sits in the garage now and we use it for walks around the block but for everything that requires actually going in a car, we use the travel one
r/daddit • Never knew baby strollers were so expensive. What's next ? ->I have the nuna triv next & like it but don’t love it. We have a silver cross reef for our main stroller & bassinet (I believe it’s an EU brand) and we love that one. The nuna is sort of cheap feeling & doesn’t have very good suspension when comparing the two. It’s still a great stroller but because I have (imo a better one) I don’t think it’s as amazing as the internet makes it seem 😆 I almost wish we’d gotten the nuna mixx or Demi but I’ve seen how the footrest sags on the mixx after a while of use since there’s no frame to support it, and the Demi was just way too big when I tried it out in store.
r/BabyBumps • Stroller doubts ->We have a nuna triv and plan on using it as our primary stroller. We also have a silver cross reef for big/long walks in our neighborhood & uppababy minu for travel. I think the triv is big enough for daily/regular use but it’s light enough that I can carry it & it doesn’t feel super heavy. We got it as an unexpected gift from a friend, so we already had the other two prior 💀 otherwise I think we could’ve been ok with just the triv! The only thing I dislike about it is that the baby feels like they’re kinda low to the ground. With the nuna mixx and silver cross the seat is a big higher but idk if that’s a deal breaker for everyone or just me lol.
r/Buyingforbaby • Nuna Triv Next as the only stroller? ->I have the Nuna Triv next and a Joolz aer+. I used the Nuna from birth and am still using it at 19 months almost daily. I got the Joolz when my daughter was 7 months old as the Nuna got too heavy with her to use on the tube by myself. So when I’m staying close to home or just going on the bus somewhere near I’ll use the Nuna. Going anywhere else or travelling abroad I’ve used the Joolz. I really like it and it’s super easy to fold and can go in the hold if you ever go on a plane etc.
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Stroller sets ->We have a Nuna Triv Next. Possibly not the lightest but certainly not heavy, it's suitable from birth even without the carrycot and has one-handed operation for putting up and down.
r/UKParenting • Best infant prams/carrycots that can change into strollers when older? ->We are getting the Nuna Triv Next for this reason - can be gate checked, super light and easy to fold, one handed fold Once we tried it out in the store we were sold
r/NewParents • Any recommendations for Strollers that are good for air travel? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
