My time to shine as I've bought way too many prams (let's just ignore that financial irresponsibility). A few questions to ask yourself: - Will you want more than one kid? - How is the access to your house - Where do you live and how do you go out and about I will list some pros and cons for the ones I've had. - Yoyo - small canopy and smaller overall for a pram, even for a compact one, airline compliant, it does require two hands to fold it down - I've had two of these, one with me and one with my parents, ended up using a couple of times each - terrible on cobblestone - Joolz Aer+ - my favourite compact one, the canopy is huge (meaning that you can extend it to get the baby to sleep and almost no light passes) more stable and has significantly more space than the yoyo, lays down flat. It is also possible to fold it with one hand and carry it on the side on the tube - Icandy orange - if you want kids close by this will save you a few headaches. You can transform it into a double and it has an integrated buggy board, the basket holds a lot and it is easy access (seats are quite small), the sweet spot for this one is when your second kid is between 6 months and 16 months and your oldest is too big for a pram but can't walk a lot (between 2.5 and 4 I would say). The integrated buggy board for perfect for us during these months - other parents were kicking their buggy boards and always having to lift it up, walking on the side of the pram and I was cruising. I believe they have a new version now that icandy core? Which has an integrated buggy board and possibility of having different wheels. This pram is very bulky but great for country side walks, very stable, height adjustable handle. Again, very bulky but hey, a child can even fit on the basket - Bugaboo fox - amazing canopy, again, if your baby naps on the pram, you want this. Better looking than the Icandy Orange. Still behaves pretty well "off road". Folds a bit smaller than the Icandy and the seat fits a bigger child when comparing to the Icandy (I would say a much bigger child). If you are planning for one child only I would go with this one as a big pram. For 2, you will have to add an annoying buggy board that will be kicked and will be uncomfortable. Still bulky and not practical going up and down stairs but better than the Icandy - Double Britax - fits 2 kids up to 22kg each, got it for a holiday, used twice, easy to maneuver but very bulky, one more mm and would not fit on our garden door - if you need a double pram it is a good solution but if not twins you are probably better with a normal one. The canopy extends but it is mesh on the top, therefore light still passes (but you can see the children) - Out n About runner - very stable, I don't run but this is very cool and stable. We usually use it for travelling by train or when we feel like a bigger pram will be needed. It can fit two children sitting inside - a 4 yo can still nap inside if required. Very short canopy And I think these are the most relevant. If you are only going to buy one, I would say the Joolz aer, it is quite stable for a small pram and spacious as well. I, somehow, never liked any silvercross but I do see some people with it, for me, they never had a feature that would make me buy them (and I bought a lot of prams)
r/HENRYUKLifestyle • Choosing pram. Recommendations? ->We ended up with a Nipper V5 "running pram" because I couldn't cope with the pathetic wheels on the one we first got. It could barely cope with pavements, let alone a sand or stone path. It's the best thing we bought and we spent about £400 on it. It's so much easier to get around because the wheels are huge. Some of my other mum friends struggle to get down the slightly dirt path to forest school or other classes we go to if the pavements aren't perfect. So, regardless of the brand you get, if you're planning on using it in the countryside, make sure it's got a good wheel design to handle it. I've found the Nipper fairly light, and its wheels come off and go back on easily, so I've been able to fit it in the tiniest cars.
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Prams ->The nipper is great. I had a nipper sport and a 360. I would probably go with the 360 as a general all rounder - we used it as our main buggy as it was better than our expensive icandy, but the sport is excellent on really rough terrain and for running. I’d recommend getting a second hand one on marketplace. We did that and sold it on for pretty much no loss a few years later

r/UKParenting • Which all-terrain buggy? Comparing the Hauck Runner to the Out n About Nipper ->Did a few parkruns with my kid in a Nipper Sport until about age 5 and they got too heavy for me up the hills. We also used to run to nursery (about 1 mile each way) which was always fun - in winter, I'd use a puffer jacket like a quilt to keep the kid warm. We'd also tuck a portable speaker in the pushchair hood and play tunes on the way which made things fun. The pushchair we had is the 'sleek one with big wheels' as you say, which is not the most practical - usually took one or both wheels off to go in the car (despite being an estate). Also, the front wheel is fixed and, with such a long wheelbase, it's not the best turning circle. Not ideal for negotiating shops etc! I enjoyed it, if you can find a 2nd hand one for a good price I'd say give it a try.
r/UKParenting • Does anyone run with a pushchair? Any tips? ->I run with my 3YO and 5YO, between 5k and 20k a week depending on the season/what we're doing. If I didn't, I would get no exercise ever and would be a small puddle of anxiety and depression on the floor. I started in lockdown with the 1YO in an OutnAbout Sport, when the 2nd one got big enough to run with I switched to a [Burley Dlite X](https://burley.com/en-uk/products/dlite-x) double with jogging wheel, which is pricey but awesome (and coverts to a bike trailer if that's your thing). I've done races with them (5ks last summer, we are working up to a 10k this year as it will probably be our last summer before 5YO wants to run on her own) and can't recommend it enough! A really good place to start is https://www.runningbuggies.com/ -- not to buy their stuff (I never have) but because they have a really good FAQ and safety guidance especiallyon what you need to keep things safe for younger babies (not relevant to OP but may be for someone else reading this). If you want to try before you buy, I recommend [Kids' Bike Trailers](https://www.kidsbiketrailers.co.uk/) which will let you hire with the option to purchase if you enjoy it, which I ended up doing!
r/UKParenting • Does anyone run with a pushchair? Any tips? ->Although it will cost more than a single package, you might consider getting the Joolz Aer+/Aer² for your main pushchair and then buying a second hand Out n About Nipper Sport v5 for the countryside. The sport version is cheaper than the normal version as it has a fixed front wheel. Both lie flat so can be used from birth, although you shouldn't run with the nipper until your baby is 6 months old. The wheels come off the nipper for putting it in the car (though if you've got them muddy then you might want to leave an old towel in the boot for a quick wipe down). A true do it all solution doesn't exist which is why many people eventually get a compact travel pram in addition to their main day to day travel system. A bassinet/carrycot attachment can also be absolutely worth it, even if your baby grows out of it in 4 months. Many are rated safe for overnight sleep so you can use them in the day time for naps in the living room, or just as a safe place to put baby while you do something, without having to take them to or move the cot in the bedroom. Some babies like carriers and some don't. Same for pram bassinets/carrycots. You won't know until your baby arrives unfortunately. I personally bought a Babystyle Oyster3 (with carrycot) and love it. It's a good all-rounder but probably bigger and heavier than you want for city living. The Oyster4 has now been released and has a much better folding system. I think it's mid range on price but does everything you need it to so I'd recommend it over more expensive options. Maybe it's worth checking out if you only want to buy one pram.
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Prams ->I run with my out n about, you can pick up amazing deals on Facebook marketplace from people who never used it. Look between nipper and nipper sport for the always locked or lockable wheel. They are very lightweight, especially the nipper, but the nipper is a bit less rugged, but still fine for offroad exploring and even round shops and dealing with curbs. Seen quite a lot of the Hauck and like that they have more storage space, but they do look less rugged than the nipper.

r/UKParenting • Which all-terrain buggy? Comparing the Hauck Runner to the Out n About Nipper ->We started off with a second hand Uppababy Vista for £50 then as soon as she was 6 months went for an Out N About Nipper Sport. Perfect for buggy running, went all over the Lake District including the Buttermere circular, fabulous on the beach while we saw so many people struggling with their tiny wheeled prams. My daughter is nearly 4 now so stopped using it before aged 3 as we forced her to walk everywhere🤣 but that pram met our lifestyle needs completely. Edit: all 3 wheels come off so will fit in your boot easily
r/UKParenting • Pushchair reccs! ->The Nipper Sport has the bigger wheels. My son loved it even when he was too big for it, now my daughter loves it and we do Parkrun fairly regularly. The front wheel is fixed so that takes a little getting used to.
r/UKParenting • Does anyone run with a pushchair? Any tips? ->I've got VW golf and can fit my Icandy Orange pram in, I just have to take off one wheel to get the door shut. When the bassinet was on I would take that off and place it on top in the boot, now shes in the seat I can fold it down with it attached and place in the boot, still with one wheel off. I can also fit in my running buggy (out and about brand). We take off the side wheels for that too as its a bit longer with them on. I find getting her in and out fine. Her first carseat was a maxi cosi pebble 360. And we upgraded recently to the maxi cosi emerald which is also great. I am used to doing all this in our other car too though which is smaller - a Toyota GR Yaris
