Cybex Gazelle seats are sadly very small. If you want a tandem type of stroller, I would recommend Peg Perego Ypsi, specially with the newest seats its awesome. Its kinda like Gazelle, but with smarter fit with the two seats. The seats are overall bigger and you can adjust the seats hood upwards for a taller kid. Search for Destination Baby & Kids on YouTube, they have good videos about the Ypsi. Imo the best side by side double stroller is Bumbleride Indie Twin. It runs super smoothly anywhere and has nice big seats for even a taller kid. Its big when folded though, so it doesnt fit to a small cars boot.
You do not need an uppbaby or doona or nuna or whatever. Get into babywearing and get a well reviewed stroller under $700 on sale. Skip the travel system and do a chicco carseat with the chicco car seat caddy - you can even wait til like 6 months or whenever they outgrow that to get a stroller. Peg Perego makes a solid stroller (Ypsi) that is lighter than other strollers and is a one hand fold, and the Mockingbird is just fine as well! Even the cheaper evenflo ones are good. Tbh I barely use a stroller, I babywear most of the time
We got a peg Perego YPSI that can eventually be a double stroller and I love it. It was pricey but they helped to justify the cost and it was easy to close with one hand etc. Took it to Italy and it was great on the cobblestoned streets. I would recommend seeing if you can get whatever expensive stroller used on market place - in good condition.
I was looking at the Uppa Baby Vista and stumbled across a similar stroller from Peg Perego- the Ypsi. It has the bassinet, can convert to hold a toddler seat, the car seat, and has addons to make it 2 kid friendly. 2+ if you include the skateboard attachment thing. I liked it a lot because it has a smaller footprint than the Vista, the arrangement of the double seat setting is more customizable than the Vista, and it has great shock absorbency, likely because it is a European brand and those cobble stone streets are no joke. I found mine second hand on marketplace, but I know they have dealers in the US too. We aren’t sure yet if we’ll have a second child but I’m very happy with the growth potential this stroller has. If I hadn’t gotten such a good deal on this I would have gone with the Vista though as they’re very similar strollers.
I bought the Peg Perego Ypsi because it was the lightest full-size stroller available at the time. The wheels suck and customer service is nonexistent. I wish I had just gotten a travel stroller to begin with because I don’t have the space for a second.
I just bought the peg Perego ypsi travel system. Compared to most on the market it’s super light, moves well and has so many cool new features with the 2025 that some other strollers don’t have. It’s fairly priced for what you get compared to the uppababy or nuna & it’s the lightest single to double on the market so if you plan on having more than one kid it’s the best double stroller!!
If you’re leaning towards the UB check out the peg perego ypsi travel system. The quality is unmatched and offers a lot of the same, if not more benefits than the UB. It’s European made so it’s very durable and it’s one of the lightest double strollers on the market (if you choose to use it that way). We just bought ours and I’m super excited to use it
