We’ve had 3 prams. We purchased a RedsBaby Metro3 before baby was born, I also had the bassinet holder/stand. Honest to goodness having a downstairs bassinet was incredible. By twelve months he hated the whole thing, and I think by 18 months we’d fully given up. I have to say WE loved the RedsBaby, it was just that my baby wanted to be wild and free. Then randomly bought a $20 Kmart stroller at a weekend away and it was GREAT - we used that up until this year. 2.5yo. I think it gave him the illusion of not being strapped in or reclined, and thus met his extremely fussy travel standards. We had to upgrade as our son outgrew it, and decided we wanted something that had a better ride over bumpy paths and tracks. We settled on a BabyJogger. Can’t remember which one, but it’s tall, carries a small backpack underneath and is perfect for the stage we’re at. I’m hoping he’ll be in it until 4+ but at the rate this kids grows, who knows! All the best on your pram journey.

We got a redsbaby metro, secondhand - it has the biggest basket underneath.  We used it for our first baby (who struggled with the bassinet due to reflux/allergies) but second baby is 3m and loving the bassinet attachment - shove her in a sleep sack after a feed and take her for a walk and she goes straight to sleep.  With the redsbaby prams, they've got quite good sun protection - in the toddler seat, the canopy extends out way further than our mountain buggy pram did, so that felt a lot safer being out and about all the time if you're outdoorsy.  It's not the best, but it's affordable and lasted 2.5years of use with the first (and remember, it's secondhand, I think 2019 from memory) and still going strong with the second.  It's overwhelming for sure, I made another mum friend find my pram for me on marketplace

Oh for sure! We have a redsbaby metro (can't recall what version it is) - they stopped making and replaced with the Onix for the single or nuvo for the double. Can't fault them. At the time I bought it I remember thinking it wasn't significantly different to the uppababy but it was more cost effective. Not sure how they compare now!

Maxi cosi pria is what we have and I love it! It is expensive but totally worth it. It’s also really easy to take out and reinstall. It may be an idea to go to a baby bunting or other baby store and see if you can try a few out in your car. For prams I’d suggest trying a few out and seeing what features you like or want then checking the second hand market. I like the redsbaby jive and metro which are easy to find second hand. The cot in my room is a compact cot from big w. I really like it and would recommend it if space is an issue. I was looking at the Tasman eco ones too but went with big w one for cost. It’s super light and fits through doorways so I can have him in the lounge room and easily move it back with no problem.

I think I lucked out because I picked a pram off marketplace that looked nice (and had a big basket underneath because that’s what I thought was important for nappy bag etc!) I’m 5 months in now and I absolutely love it. It’s a RedsBaby Metro. Folds like a wet napkin. Fits in the car nicely. All the features are good. Steers super smoothly (can do a 360 on the spot - in lawn mowers that’s called a zero turn 😂 great feature to have in shops etc). Anyhoo - big fan of market place because it’s basically new, came with the bassinet attachment and the seat, plus all the rain covers etc and a sheepskin liner… $200! Bargain !

I'm a FTM and bought my redsbaby pram waaaaay too early (1st trimester) and as the time went by more styles were being released or revamped. Even though, we love our redsbaby, we wish we shopped for one later instead. I would recommend going in-store/baby expos to trial run/test them out to see what you like.
