Don't get the double, they are huge and difficult and heavy (v important post partum when you have no abs, especially if you had a C section). Worry about it when baby #2 is on the way. My friend with twins put them both in a single bassinet and then a wagon cos doubles are such a pain. They're really hard to get over a single step making curbs difficult and many shops and cafes inaccessible. If you like Redsbaby get the Onix. I am extremely happy with mine, folds down like a dream with the seat facing either direction.
If you can accept not getting a double I would get the Redsbaby onix, I bought a jive second hand and ended up getting the Redsbaby because I knew I wouldn’t need a second seat and it’s soooo good. The fold is elite!
I had the V2 that was originally my sister’s pram. It handles beautifully. It feels very sturdy/ balanced. I had two issues with the pram: I felt like the canopy didn’t cover my baby sufficiently, the seat does not go completely flat and my baby felt hot when I lifted him out of the seat. I ended up buying a Redsbaby Onix for the extra sized canopy, the mesh back (he is so much cooler now), the lie down flat function and the slightly smaller size of the pram in general. It doesn’t handle as well, the balance is a little off. Going into summer having a well ventilated pram was a priority though, so I am really happy with the Onix.
We just bought a Redsbaby Onix after trialling several at the PBC expo.
We did the pram test track at PBC and it handled everything really well. No gravel there but everything else seemed good. We were tossing up between that and the Babybee Rover3. They are very very similar but the one handed fold of the Onix sold us in the end.
This is what we've settled on, too.
I have the Onix and I'm happy with it. The biggest draw for me was the easy fold and how lightweight it is. I'm notoriously late so like being able to get in and out of the car fast.
Have a look into the redsbaby onix too. It’s what we got. They do regular test days around the country. It’s a little lighter and smaller and my wife found it way easier to deal with getting in and out of the car than the cruz. It also has the benefit of being considerably cheaper
I have the Redsbaby onix and like it. It’s solid and the fabric is good quality and wipes down well. A few of my friends have Redsbaby (Nuvo maybe? Whatever has the two seat option? And the Redsbaby skip and everyone likes them
Yeah I think it’s hard - I did so much research for our travel pram (for the big Redsbaby Onix I just chose it because all of my friends backed it) and ultimately you just have to pull the trigger because you could spend forever going back and forth comparing. We do a lot of walking and live in a suburban area with lots of gravel/dirt paths and I think it holds up well. When our baby was tiny I was more concerned about her being jostled around a bit but now she’s a bit bigger I think it’s great. She gets antsy quite quickly if she’s uncomfortable but she’ll sit in the Onix for ages.
We have a hyundai Kona and can fit a Redsbaby Onix pretty comfortably
I ended up getting a different pram (Bugaboo Dragonfly because of how light it is), but the Redsbaby Onix was also a frontrunner for me because of how easy it was to fold. Some of the other prams I looked at didn't have one-handed folds and couldn't be folded with the seat set to be parent-facing. I wanted something light and easy for me to deal with solo.
It's all a matter of pros and cons, rather than being a single pram that does everything right for everyone, so it's worth considering your priorities. I wanted something relatively light and easy to fold, and was fine with sacrificing some off-road capability for that. I wasn't worried about being able to convert to a double pram in the future. I did want something that could handle parent- and world-facing, was compatible with a capsule, and that had multiple incline options. I ended up with a Bugaboo Dragonfly, because it's light and has a one-handed fold, while still being pretty full-featured. My short list also included the Redsbaby Onyx (fantastic fold but a bit heavier), and the Milly and Coup Milo and Uppababy Cruz (neither of which were as easy to fold). The Dragonfly does take up most of my boot in my Mazda 3, which makes me glad I didn't go for something even bigger. That might not be the right pram for you - you might want something that's better off-road or that has a bigger basket or that does convert into a double pram. It is all pretty individual, and I know mine is a less common choice than some.
This is me right now with my Redsbaby Onix that ticked all of my boxes on paper but just isn’t working for us. Were you able to sell your Redsbaby relatively easily? I fear the resale value won’t justify me replacing the damn thing. We only bought it last year in 2025.
