Having just purchased a travel stroller, we looked at the stokke yoyo, bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu v3, silvercross jet 5, and joolz aer -- all comply with most overhead cabin sizing. I would recommend also purchasing the stroller case/carrier so it looks more like a standard carry-on. Some airline staff might make you gate-check regardless of size once they see that it is a stroller. Having the cover/case will reduce that issue.
r/NewParents • Best Overhead Compartment Airplane Stroller ->I got a silver cross jet 5 - light weight (7.5kg), folds up the size of cabin luggage for air travel, I live in a city so I don't really need off roading. Suitable from birth up to 4 years.
r/BabyBumps • Is it possible to have just one stroller?? ->Are you bringing her car seat? Most car seats fit into the bugaboo butterfly with adapters that they sell. This is what I did at 4 months w my Cybex car seat on the butterfly. Other option is the Jet 5 which lays flat I believe.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel stroller for 4 month old? ->we have the silver cross jet 5 and love it
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Travel pram for 3 month old (overhead locker on plane) ->Absolute love my Silver Cross Wave 3, yes it’s big and bulky but I usually have hubby with me when we need to use for large shopping trips or outings so not a hassle and worked out great and as we are now having going to have 2u2 very soon. Biggest regret was getting the Silver Cross Jet 5 as a travel pram. It’s takes me forever to open and close it, it’s damn near impossible and everyday I contemplate selling it for a different cabin approved stroller. At the time I went with it as it was on sale and had a lie flat option but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Want to hear your Stroller failure/ regret stories ->I have it and I have another travel stroller. It’s mostly good with good wheels but I don’t think it lies down flat enough like the other I have ( silvercross jet ) also the basket is def big enough but I find the seat just to be too short and not long enough.
r/nycparents • Is Joolz stroller good for nyc? ->Best buy, a silver cross jet. It’s a lightweight pushchair (stroller) that lays flat and folds down to rucksack size to fit behind a seat in a car or take on hand luggage in a plane. It also folds up with one hand. Most useless buy, a bassinet/moses basket. I gave it away and had a small travel cot in the downstairs and a side sleeper upstairs. He absolutely hated being still and when he shifted about it rocked and woke him up
r/Parenting • What’s the baby item that was totally worth the money and what was a complete waste? ->Baby is three months and we have the silver cross wave as our regular stroller and the silver cross jet we used for travel and I really love both of them. I would also like to get a Thule chariot at some point. We have a pretty rambunctious dog so the weight and durability of the wave has been helpful in not getting toppled over when walking with both of them
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->Had Silver Cross Wave and loved it. It is a tank - once an idiot on electric scooter ran into the pram in Chelsea turning a corner on a sidewalk, and the baby didn't even wake up, even though the bags fell off. The pram is very heavy, but it worked for me bc we were in central London and I mainly walked places or took a black cab. I kike walking, and having a comfy pram with loads of storage was great. If I had to take the tube, I used our travel pram (Silver Cross Jet). Now that we are in zone 3 and I use the car several days per week, was planning on going with Yoyo after the bassinet stage - the Wave frame is heavy and bulky for the car use.
r/HENRYUKLifestyle • Choosing pram. Recommendations? ->We opted for the Silver Cross Wave for everyday and Doona for travel! We will be buying the Silver Cross Jet as a travel stroller when baby outgrows Doona. The Nuna Pipa car seat is compatible with the Silver Cross Wave, we purchased the adapters.
