My boy outgrew the Yo-yo at 3/3.5m and we also bought a full recline stroller. Saved our asses lol
r/bigbabiesandkids • When did you change your babies to the “6 month stroller size” and car seat ->I started with a Stokke Yoyo then got a Cruz and it was the best decision I've made post baby lol. It handles well on footpaths and in shopping centres, decently on grass, I love the big basket (it fits SO much), I like the versatility of having the seat recline or sit up and parent/outward facing options, and it's sturdy but not so big I feel awkward taking it on public transport.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Uppababy Cruz v2 reviews ->I started out with the Stokke Yoyo3 as my only pram (with the newborn pack) bc we live in a first floor with no lift apartment with not much space and I get public transport a lot. So it did make sense for us on paper but I ended up getting a secondhand Uppababy Cruz about 4 months in. The Yoyo is great and is awesome for getting around on public transport but I kind of wish I'd had the Cruz from the jump. I have to be so much more judicious with what I bring with the Yoyo bc there is very little storage (which makes sense obviously, it's a travel pram!) and if I'm taking a full size nappy bag I have to carry it, whereas with the Cruz I can throw everything in the basket and take bigger items like a picnic blanket. I just didn't factor in how much stuff I needed to lug around and honestly a big part of the reason I got another pram was just so I could put a pack of nappies in the basket which you can't really do with the Yoyo. I also like being able to talk and engage with my baby on walks when she's facing me, which isn't possible with the Yoyo for 6m+ as it only faces out. And the newborn pack was great at first bc she could lie flat and nap, but from about 4m she wanted to look out and look around so I'd constantly have to take her out. Plus it's just not the best for surfaces like grass, pebbles etc. All that said I genuinely do think the Yoyo is great lol, but it has worked much better as a second pram for me. I will say I rarely ever fold down the Cruz, the Yoyo now lives in our boot. If I were having to constantly fold it down into a car boot I might feel differently!
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Want to hear your Stroller failure/ regret stories ->Having just purchased a travel stroller, we looked at the stokke yoyo, bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu v3, silvercross jet 5, and joolz aer -- all comply with most overhead cabin sizing. I would recommend also purchasing the stroller case/carrier so it looks more like a standard carry-on. Some airline staff might make you gate-check regardless of size once they see that it is a stroller. Having the cover/case will reduce that issue.
r/NewParents • Best Overhead Compartment Airplane Stroller ->I started my stroller journey by buying a highly recommended stroller and hating it... and ended up with multiple ones, which turned into testing over 100 models and reviewing them :) That said: NOT LOVING: Uppababy Vista - rides smooth, but too big and bulky Mockingbird - awful, scary with recalls, doesn't drive smoothly as all Cybex Orfeo - too flimsy Cybex Coya - where do I even begin with this bad fold GB Pockit - not worth your fingers Ergobaby Metro - too heavy for a travel stroller and unfold feels meh SummerInfant 3d quickclose - too good to be true, super flimsy Nuna TRVL - too short seat, too big to take into the cabin and too expensive for what it is Uppababy Minu - too big for a travel stroller model, weird bumper bar and flimsy canopy LOVING: Cybex Priam - amazing, especially the e-version. If I were to get a one full-size stroller this would be my top choice Stokke Yoyo3 - most well-known and guaranteed on board Joolz Aer - smooth ride, great accessories Joolz Hub2 - solid mid-size option Cybex Gazelle - good for 2 under 2 Bombi - good mid-size option Bugaboo Butterfly 2 - didn't like the first version, but these upgrades made it better Mamazing - good budget option Zoe Traveler - amazing canopy and solid stroller Inglesina Quid - cute solid compact stroller
r/BabyBumps • [deleted by user] ->Wrong sub…. But get the yo-yo lol. Abroad airlines know the yo-yo because it’s most popular stroller in Europe basically and will let it on plane for overhead bin. Other strollers overseas YMMV
r/momtokgossip • Stroller for travelling ->You may want more than 1 pram here. My guess is given your requirements, a do-it-all pram might involve some unfortunate tradeoffs for portability, storage, manoeuvrability, etc. We do this: we have an Uppababy Cruz for day-to-day walking around the neighbourhood. We also have a Stokke Yoyo for the car. For your use, you might want a pram that can go offroad/trails (maybe a 3-wheeler?) for your property. Another everyday kind of pram for the car. And possibly a portacot or playpen for bub for the inlaws that you can just leave there.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Best stroller for rural living? ->The Bugaboo Butterfly 2 and the Joolz Aer2 are better in my opinion. The Butterfly 2 has a more upright seat, excellent basket, seatback pocket, and just feels so premium. The Minu v3 is too reclined for my child… yours may not care, but most toddlers want to sit up and see! It also feels kind of heavy and bulky to me, and the unfold kept sticking when I tried it at Nordstrom. Honestly I went with the Yoyo3 over all of them because I just wanted the smallest and lightest option.
r/Buyingforbaby • Minu stroller (people complaining child can't sit upright) ->They’re not as popular in North America, but we have the yoyo by stokke and we adore it. So small and so sturdy. Folding takes a minute to learn. But airlines recognize it instantly and you do not get hassled.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best lightweight travel stroller? [Ca] [BC] ->Dad of Reddit here. Check in Jikelhouse.ae Their brand is also quite good tbh. We had kind of the same budget but where lucky my parents and parents in law wanted to gift some of those things to us so we ended up with a Stokke Yoyo3 for around 2300aed. (Yoyo3 + babyzen 0+ bassinet) and later when the baby is old enough to sit well get the 6+ to convert it into the normal stroller. (They cost around 400aed). We got a Jikel brand crib for like 250aed (similar to Next2Me) and a Jikel car seat for 200aed that goes from 0months to 6 or 7 years something like that. Mumzworld is also having tons of discounts now in November. Check their website after midnight tonight.
r/dubai • Moms of Reddit, Do we have to break a bank to buy a good baby stroller & car seat? ->Jikel is a nice brand, I got the Yoyo3 from their website but I haven’t seen anything compatible between them. Jikel has everything from strollers to maternity bags, cribs etc…
r/dubai • Moms of Reddit, Do we have to break a bank to buy a good baby stroller & car seat? ->It looks like the Yoyo maxes out at 19.8 lbs so that might make the decision for you! We swapped from the uppababy bassinet to the rumble seat when he was about 4 months, he got too long for the bassinet to be comfortable. The stroller we have reclines a lot so we still keep him pretty laid back and facing us at 7.5 months.
