You might want to check out the Stokke YOYO connect double stroller. Seem like the best for travel on airplane/subway/bus/car. I have the Mockingbird single to double for my 2 year old and newborn. It's huge and I would not bring it on a plane or in a taxi. I would only bring it on the subway if it had an elevator and it wasn't rush hour, which really limits you. I would say carrying one baby with one in a travel stroller is easier. The YOYO connect double looks like the second easier option. A side by side double if honestly the hardest in NYC because you JUST fit through the door and then have to navigate narrow walkways inside stores and restaurants which is a pain.
Uppababy vista for daily use 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Stokke yoyo 3 with their yoyo board ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Call me crazy but I have the bugaboo butterfly, the yoyo (purely for travel, especially international travel), and the Nuna trvl. We used the Nuna trvl from 5 months - 18 months? But by the time my kiddo was 18 months the leg rest was not sturdy enough (and my kid is in the smaller side). Bc of the leg rest issue we got the butterfly to use as our next everyday lightweight/keep in the car stroller They all served different purposes. The yoyo is best for travel bc it folds the smallest and you can easily put in the overhead bin (and is recognized by most airlines). Trvl/Butterfly are good for every day use when running errands and etc.
My boy outgrew the Yo-yo at 3/3.5m and we also bought a full recline stroller. Saved our asses lol
Stokke yoyo has a very rough ride IMO. I don’t have experience with the other stroller but definitely not the yoyo.
I didn’t know that!! I thought I wanted the yoyo too. I wanted a more compact single stroller. But when I went in to try it I wasn’t a huge fan. Ended up getting the nuna trvl lx! The back comes down so baby can lay down & use it from newborn. I think it’s smoothn& I love the fold & basket space. I haven’t tried it in the snow though! I’ve really only used it when going shopping & on road walks. So I can’t say it’s all terrain like you’re looking for. My 4mo girl loves it though!
I started with a Stokke Yoyo then got a Cruz and it was the best decision I've made post baby lol. It handles well on footpaths and in shopping centres, decently on grass, I love the big basket (it fits SO much), I like the versatility of having the seat recline or sit up and parent/outward facing options, and it's sturdy but not so big I feel awkward taking it on public transport.
I started out with the Stokke Yoyo3 as my only pram (with the newborn pack) bc we live in a first floor with no lift apartment with not much space and I get public transport a lot. So it did make sense for us on paper but I ended up getting a secondhand Uppababy Cruz about 4 months in. The Yoyo is great and is awesome for getting around on public transport but I kind of wish I'd had the Cruz from the jump. I have to be so much more judicious with what I bring with the Yoyo bc there is very little storage (which makes sense obviously, it's a travel pram!) and if I'm taking a full size nappy bag I have to carry it, whereas with the Cruz I can throw everything in the basket and take bigger items like a picnic blanket. I just didn't factor in how much stuff I needed to lug around and honestly a big part of the reason I got another pram was just so I could put a pack of nappies in the basket which you can't really do with the Yoyo. I also like being able to talk and engage with my baby on walks when she's facing me, which isn't possible with the Yoyo for 6m+ as it only faces out. And the newborn pack was great at first bc she could lie flat and nap, but from about 4m she wanted to look out and look around so I'd constantly have to take her out. Plus it's just not the best for surfaces like grass, pebbles etc. All that said I genuinely do think the Yoyo is great lol, but it has worked much better as a second pram for me. I will say I rarely ever fold down the Cruz, the Yoyo now lives in our boot. If I were having to constantly fold it down into a car boot I might feel differently!
I actually was the opposite, I started off with a travel pram with a bassinet (Yoyo3) and ended up getting the Cruz when my baby was 5mo. I still use the Yoyo but the Cruz is my main one now bc the basket space is so much better and I hate having to carry things.
Haven't used the Vista but the Cruz is definitely very sturdy and pretty smooth.
