I have yoyo2 and minu and prefer to travel with the minu. The fold mechanism is annoying on the yoyo when you’re packing and unpacking the stroller for things like cars/restaurants/escalators. I think the yoyo2 rolls smoother but at the same time, needs pretty flat terrain/is pretty annoying to try to back wheel down steps. Accessory-wise though, it’s nice to have the yo-yo’s extra bag + wheel or the ride along board. Can’t speak to the Aer.

Has anyone tried using two single strollers vs. one double for air travel? How did it go? We have the single Nuna TRVL and \*loved\* it for our first child - it was like a dream for air travel and has even become our daily stroller. It’s been all over the U.S. and Mexico with us. Now, we have a 4-month-old and a 3-year-old and are getting ready for our first air travel as a family. The thing is, I can’t imagine hauling our tandem double, which my husband hates bc of how giant he feels it is and difficult to maneuver. At home, we’ll often use two singles for trips around our neighborhood, which is nice because it’s not as bulky and allows us to split off as needed (e.g., if I need to head home with the baby). For reference, our tandem is a Cybex Gazelle (our nanny and I love it - husband just doesn’t like big strollers) and our second single is a Stokke/Babyzen Yoyo. **Would the two singles strategy work for travel or is it a bad idea?** Between what’s worked for us in the past and how expensive they are, I can’t convince myself to buy a side-by-side double. It’s also tough to find one that meets our needs: Nuna pipa car seat compatible, narrow, lightweight, stands on its own, nearly full recline, high weight limit, tall seat with footrest (we have tall kids), and good push. Have considered Zoe Twin, Valco Duo, and Valco Slim. Open to suggestions!

It does but it’s a little weird. The official Yo-yo double attachment *cannot* be used on its own as a single, which makes the attachment sort of worthless on its own. Unofficially, you can buy a strap on Amazon that connects two singles to create a side-by-side, but reviews are mixed on how well it works and how stable it is.

Can’t reccomend the stokke yoyo enough we’ve got the soft newborn attachment that all folds down in one and has the shoulder strap. 3 babies and 3 prams 2 pushchairs later this is the best one by far for its small size/weight and to top it off, it fits in the overhead on a plane/foot well of a car. The only downside is the fact the handrail isn’t retractable so you can’t customise its length but tbh that’s only a downside if you’re considering adding the little balance board or seat attachment for a toddler to hop on. Comes in so many fun colours and designs too! (Just an FYI the newborn shell attachment doesn’t fold down in one, it’s the soft attachment that does) Linked below for you to checkout [YOYO3](https://www.johnlewis.com/stokke-yoyo-pushchair-frame-newborn-pack-and-6-colour-pack-black-taupe/p241554675)

We traveled the NEC with a 14 month old from DC to Boston to back. It went great! Here's what we found: * The Regionals do *not* have changing stations. Both generations of Acela do. * We have a yoyo2 and used it as an everyday stroller from very young to pretty recently. You buy the frame with choice of a soft bassinet, car seat adapter (which we didn't get). and standard. It folds to walk stairs (e.g. from the sidewalk and up our stoop) and can fit on airline overhead (and easily in Amtrak). [https://www.stokke.com/USA/en-us/category/strollers/yoyo-strollers](https://www.stokke.com/USA/en-us/category/strollers/yoyo-strollers) (When we bought it, the company was Babyzen, it seems it was since aquired by stokke.) * Since our son was old enough to be on an inflatable, we got him a seat and https://www.flyawaydesigns.com/products/flyaway-kids-bed. DC to BOS is about 6 hours during which we did hour of play, hour of snack, hour of nap, repeat. This may be too much for a 4 month old, and you might be holding him. Are there multiple adults? And a bonus: you definitely want Red Cap

We love the Yoyo for travel and day to day for our 2+ yr old however we felt it wasn't as sturdy for our boy when he was a baby so actually first used a Bugaboo, which we also took with us on flights (we drop it in a bag at the gate before boarding the flight and pick it up when we land)

The balance between compact/light and all-terrain is a tough one. I would focus on compact strollers that have good enough suspension and also have a newborn carrycot option. To be honest, the YOYO3 is probably your best bet because it also had the carrycot option and a decent suspension for a travel stroller. If you're not bothered about the compact aspect of it as much and the smooth ride is more important, I would probably recommend the iCandy Peach 7 All Terrain Storm Pushchair & Carrycot. I run a small project helping parents find the prams that fit their needs and budget, so happy to share more if it's helpful!
