Once 6+ months, we used the Summer Infant 3D Lite umbrella stroller. They are less than $100 dollars and mine held up through two kids and lots of use. Very lightweight and easy to take anywhere. Enough storage space for diaper bag and essentials.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • If you had $300 for a baby stroller, which one would you buy? ->We got rid of our baby stroller as soon as we could and went with a Summer 3D lite umbrella stroller from then on out. So I would keep that in mind for how many times you might actually use this thing
r/daddit • Stroller talk ->We own two strollers - Uppababy Cruz v2 and Babyzen Yoyo (for travel and smaller trips). Since we’ve had kids, I’ve tried a few umbrella strollers including a really cheap Walmart one (bily?) and the Summer Infant 3D Lite. Hates both of them and sold them on the marketplace as soon as we go the Yoyo.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->Ha! So many. 1. Bumbleride Indie - great all-purpose stroller for walks, jogs, snowy terrain, etc. 2. Mountain Buggy Nano - work horse travel stroller that can technically fit in most overhead bins (though we usually gate check it). Was nice to have when the kids were very small because it can lay flat. Terrible for snow and sand, but survived uneven paving, cobblestones, some mud, etc. I currently use this as a casual every day stroller and leave it in the back of my car. 3. Thule double chariot - for walks and jogs with both kids, especially useful in the winter because the large wheels are good in snow. 4. Summer Infant 3D Lite - bought this on a vacation that we were confident we could do without a stroller. 5. Cheap Red Kite umbrella stroller - another situation where I thought we could get by with a stroller for the big kid and a carrier for the baby, but gave up and bought the cheapest stroller we could find locally. If I could do it again, I'd get one nice jogging stroller (worth it for the maneuverability in rough terrain even if you don't plan on jogging) and then a cheaper, probably second hand umbrella stroller for casual use and short outings.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->We just had a 3dlite stroller that we'd travel with. It folds up, reclines all the way back, and has a nice shade that comes down to cover almost the whole thing so was great for napping, etc. Used it until the boys were almost 3 so I can't imagine it wouldn't fit your 9 month old.
r/Parenting • My baby is too large for most strollers. What do I do? ->Baby #4 is 10 months and we have owned 6 different strollers. Our Evenflo Pivot system lasted us through 3 babies (5 years), then for baby 4 we got the pivot xpand but have since passed it on to another family. We currently use 2 Summer Infant 3d lite strollers. One lives in the van and the other at my work. This is my favourite on-the-job /umbrella stroller. We've bought both second hand with 0 problems. Highly recommend this as a reliable umbrella stroller once baby is out of the bucket seat. Our other current stroller is a double stroller/bike trailer. I don't use it much, but my husband tows the kids in it sometimes.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->I have/had: Baby Jogger City Mini GT (hated, disintegrated after 18 months, will never recommend ever), replaced with Uppababy Vista (love it, it’s my workhorse, wish I’d bought it from the beginning), then had a Summer Infant 3D lite for an umbrella (hated, eventually sold), replaced with an Uppababy Minu V2 (loved it, replaced with V3 which I got specifically for the airplane overhead option, and in some ways slightly prefer the V2), and a Thule Chariot double (amazing for all the biking we do). Got the Vista when my son was 18 months old and he’s now 7.5 lol
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->Too many... When my fist kid was born, a friend lent me an Uppababy Vista and an old Chariot running stroller. Then I bought a second hand umbrella Summer 3D lite for travelling. I had to give back the Uppababy Vista before my second kid was born, so I bought one for myself and a few months later, I bought a Thule Urban Glide for running, because the old Chariot was too cumbersome. And we also bought a new umbrella stroller because the old one was starting to fall apart. Overall I used 6 different strollers, but only bought 4. Only the last umbrella stroller was bought new, everything else was bought second hand.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ON] How many strollers did you end up having? ->We had the 3-D summer infant lite, super cheaper and lightweight, umbrella stroller. Used it all across Italy and was great. Then upgraded to the GB pockit, slightly heavier, more expensive, but folds up and fits into the airplane as a carryon.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best lightweight travel stroller? [Ca] [BC] ->2. We had a Thule Urban Glide 2 which we used for daily walks and excursions. We also had a Summer 3D lite (umbrella stroller) for travel (international).
