Thule - Chariot Cougar 2

4 in total, with two children. I don't drive and we walk daily, in all weather. I had a Graco Comfy Cruiser as my daily driver. Less than $200 and it was an absolute workhorse. I used it for over 6 years, between the two kids. Huge basket was perfect for grocery shopping. We also had a Joovy Caboose, for the short period of time when my older child was not a reliable distance walker, and needed a place to rest. And then two running strollers - a Chariot Cougar 1 and Cougar 2 (single and double versions of the same stroller). My youngest is 4 and we are still using the Cougar 1 for runs together.

If you're runners, get a dedicated stroller just for running. A decent running stroller is not a good daily driver. I LOVE my Chariot Cougars (currently using the one seater, previously had the two seater), but I'd never use it daily.

Thule, for sure. I've been using a Cougar 1 for 7 years, and also had a Cougar 2 when I was able to push both my kids. I'm the third owner of the Cougar 1 and it still pushes like a dream. So smooth, so easy to maneuver, comfortable for my son, and not heavy. I've trained for multiple half marathons with it, and pushed it in five or six races of various distances.

I have owned both a single and double Chariot, and still run with the single. I love them. Hands down, best child related purchase(s) I've ever made.

First baby we bought a quality travel stroller that we could use our carseat with because our car was tiny — Mountain Buggy Nano. It was gifted to us, but these are easy to find secondhand.   Second baby we added a double stroller/bike trailer to the mix with a secondhand Thule Cougar 2 (I think the new version is a Cross?). Aside from needing a double, we also wanted something that was better at pushing through snow.     Third baby I decided I wanted a fancy stroller and found a practically new Quinny Hubb. Biggest draw was the giant basket, versatility for seating and having an add-on second seat for toddlers. It’s also really good in the snow.   I use the Quinny and the Nano regularly depending on the situation. The Chariot hasn’t had any use in a while, though. Harder to fold, harder to clean, a bit wide for doorways. The older kids just walk or bike. 

I had a single for my first and now have an amazing double Thule chariot for the two of them. There was a lot of cheaper second hand stuff on fb market place. I did not plan ahead in that one, and we got the double stroller once we had two kids.

A 5.5 yr and 4 yr old with one more on the way. - City Select with 2 seats is my full stroller/all terrain - Thule Chariot 2 bike stroller/also a hiking stroller - Valco Duo Snap for side by side stroller - GB pockit that's a bit wonky so lives at grandparents as a spare - Babyzen Yoyo got as second hand travel stroller I am planning to use mainly for my new one - All purpose wagon that never intended to be a stroller but they all pile in

I confirm all this to be true. Love the double chariot but we have a second stroller for when we walk elsewhere

Ha! So many. 1. Bumbleride Indie - great all-purpose stroller for walks, jogs, snowy terrain, etc. 2. Mountain Buggy Nano - work horse travel stroller that can technically fit in most overhead bins (though we usually gate check it). Was nice to have when the kids were very small because it can lay flat. Terrible for snow and sand, but survived uneven paving, cobblestones, some mud, etc. I currently use this as a casual every day stroller and leave it in the back of my car. 3. Thule double chariot - for walks and jogs with both kids, especially useful in the winter because the large wheels are good in snow. 4. Summer Infant 3D Lite - bought this on a vacation that we were confident we could do without a stroller. 5. Cheap Red Kite umbrella stroller - another situation where I thought we could get by with a stroller for the big kid and a carrier for the baby, but gave up and bought the cheapest stroller we could find locally. If I could do it again, I'd get one nice jogging stroller (worth it for the maneuverability in rough terrain even if you don't plan on jogging) and then a cheaper, probably second hand umbrella stroller for casual use and short outings.

I love my thule chariot double stroller with infant insert. It doesn't work for carseats but it's GREAT for 2 under 2. My toddler hangs out in there longer than our regular stroller bc it feels like a little club house.. it's lighter than the vista, has nice storage attached..it handles gravel trails and can be a jogging stroller/ bike attachment  or cross country ski attachment.  For grocery runs I'd just get a cheap double off marketplace that can hold a chico

Thule chariot with infant insert! I baby wore the first 3 months of my baby's life but now feel comfortable for my baby and toddler to ride next to each other I got mine off marketplace 

Oh good lord, we have 4 plus a wagon 🫣 we have a single BOB jogger, a double BOB jogger, a city select with 2 seats but can be adjusted for single, a charriot 2 seater that has the jogger, the stroller, the bike trailer and the ski options. Yes, it’s overkill but honestly they all have their place. We keep the city select one in another province so we can avoid travelling with a stroller when visiting my family. Both BOBs are in rotation in seasons that aren’t winter since where we live experiences -40 degree temperatures. And the chariot is mostly used for its ability to be a trailer and a ski pulk. The wagon comes out for the pool and hauling kids and all their accessories. IMO there isn’t a one and done stroller option.

And yes, as other have mentioned: a running stroller (we have the Thule Chariot).

Would you be open to trying a chariot? My toddler likes it better because he can get in and out on his own and it’s closer to the ground. It’s a great option for all terrain!

I’m a big fan of our Thule UG2. We got it used from a family that had used it for like 3 yrs and we have used it as our primary stroller for the past 2 yrs and it’s still in really good shape. We got the car seat adaptor and used it from birth. Now you can also get the bassinet if you want to avoid using the car seat. It’s so easy to push around and maneuver and it does great in the snow. I also like how big the basket is. We just got a Thule chariot to be our main stroller, but I’m going to hold on the Urban Glide for a bit in case we need to bust it out for the winter.
