I just had an accident today with my children on a Thule Chariot Cross 2 Double (attached to my bycicle). An idiot on another bycicle coming on speed didn't realized we stopped in the crossing line because we had to cross the avenue, he hit the stroller at speed, the impact was so strong it turned the stroller upside down. People rushed to help. My children (4 and 2) were attached in the seat belt, they were upside down just confused and laughing about what happened. Also the stroller was intact, I was already a Thule fan, but the way how it protected my kids from that idiot made me extra fan. Go for it, just pay the price.

We have two, LO is five weeks, live rurally. The Bugaboo Fox5 Renew (bassinet mode) is for normal day to day use (lives in the car), and a Chariot Cross for eventual skiing/snowshoeing/biking/jogging/beach trips (lives in the garage). We bought the infant sling so it can be used now for strolling, and intend to use it for getting down our muddy/snowy driveway in the winter (big jogging wheel plus totally enclosed space equals win lol). It’ll also be for LO to have a safe, shaded space around the farm, in addition to the other activities once he’s old enough to use it for those things safely. LO is super comfortable in the sling, and usually goes right to sleep. I love love the Bugaboo, and so far it’s handling the fall mud season fine, but I don’t want to use it for that too often, as it lives in the car (it’s hard enough keeping mud out of the car as it is!. I also wear LO in a woven wrap a lot of the time, if you’re babywearing, you may find your stroller needs change 😊

Agree with all of this! We’re using the Uppababy Cruz as our main stroller, and it’s great for all the points listed above except for lack of suspension and hard plastic wheels. I like it for day-to-day walks, but it doesn’t handle well even on slightly uneven terrain (e.g. I avoid gravel paths unless they’re really packed down. Might be less of an issue when LO is older with better neck control, but currently 7 weeks old and rattles around in the bassinet on uneven paths). We ended up getting a Thule Chariot Cross with an infant sling to go on trail walks, since we’ll use that for running, biking and xc skiing when LO is older. Wouldn’t want the Chariot for daily walks though, as it’s clunky and heavy (Thule does make other models like the Urban Glide that would be good for daily use + jogging, if you’re interested in that). As above, look at your lifestyle!

I had a single for my first and now have an amazing double Thule chariot for the two of them. There was a lot of cheaper second hand stuff on fb market place. I did not plan ahead in that one, and we got the double stroller once we had two kids.

A 5.5 yr and 4 yr old with one more on the way. - City Select with 2 seats is my full stroller/all terrain - Thule Chariot 2 bike stroller/also a hiking stroller - Valco Duo Snap for side by side stroller - GB pockit that's a bit wonky so lives at grandparents as a spare - Babyzen Yoyo got as second hand travel stroller I am planning to use mainly for my new one - All purpose wagon that never intended to be a stroller but they all pile in

I confirm all this to be true. Love the double chariot but we have a second stroller for when we walk elsewhere

Ha! So many. 1. Bumbleride Indie - great all-purpose stroller for walks, jogs, snowy terrain, etc. 2. Mountain Buggy Nano - work horse travel stroller that can technically fit in most overhead bins (though we usually gate check it). Was nice to have when the kids were very small because it can lay flat. Terrible for snow and sand, but survived uneven paving, cobblestones, some mud, etc. I currently use this as a casual every day stroller and leave it in the back of my car. 3. Thule double chariot - for walks and jogs with both kids, especially useful in the winter because the large wheels are good in snow. 4. Summer Infant 3D Lite - bought this on a vacation that we were confident we could do without a stroller. 5. Cheap Red Kite umbrella stroller - another situation where I thought we could get by with a stroller for the big kid and a carrier for the baby, but gave up and bought the cheapest stroller we could find locally. If I could do it again, I'd get one nice jogging stroller (worth it for the maneuverability in rough terrain even if you don't plan on jogging) and then a cheaper, probably second hand umbrella stroller for casual use and short outings.
