Where are you located? Happy to lend our my Thule Urban Glide 2 (it's quite old and second hand, but works perfectly fine. Had the tires pumped and wires checked). We don't use ours much now our kid is a toddler and doesn't have the patience for long runs. Just DM me :)

Do note that it's not safe for baby to go jogging in ANY jogging stroller (regular jogger, carseat attachment, or bassinet attachment) until they are at least 6 months old and have good neck control. We have the Thule Urban Glide 2 and it's fantastic.

I've had my Thule Urban Glide 2 for 4 years, and I love it! It brought me so much freedom - I can go hiking, running, and even have done some fast/harder workouts with it. Edit/Add: it has an infant car seat attachment so you don't have to wait until your LO is 6 months.

Love our secondhand (used for 10 years) Thule urban glide 2. Was lucky enough to get some accessories before they were discontinued. Everything else I just 3d print lol. If it last another 5 years, id say my friends got their monies worth

We also went with Thule. Chemical free fabrics were high on our priority list so we knew we weren't going for an American brand. For infant car seat we went with the Chicco Cleartex as that saved money while still having safe fabrics We then upgraded to the Nuna Rava after a car accident, since we knew we'd be using that for longer. We went to Nordstrom and Pottery Barn and tested the Nuna strollers and Uppababy strollers we thought the build quality of them was poor honestly. I don't know if it was the floor models but they did not feel good at all (wobbly). Then we tested the Thule Urban Glide 2 at Rei and loved it. The feel was immediately sturdy. My husband was in love right away and once we decided to pair it with a smaller stroller (we did the baby zen yoyo2) it was a perfect match for our family and lifestyle. We live in the suburbs in an outdoorsy area. We often walk on trails. I tested other strollers at target momcozy, mockingbird, bravo, Evenflo we didn't like the quality but I will say when I'd ask parents on the street if they recommended their stroller they always always said yes and rarely ever remembered the name of the stroller....so it really isn't that serious. You'll probably like whatever you get. If you're on a budget go ahead and get the Mockingbird stroller.

I’m a big fan of our Thule UG2. We got it used from a family that had used it for like 3 yrs and we have used it as our primary stroller for the past 2 yrs and it’s still in really good shape. We got the car seat adaptor and used it from birth. Now you can also get the bassinet if you want to avoid using the car seat. It’s so easy to push around and maneuver and it does great in the snow. I also like how big the basket is. We just got a Thule chariot to be our main stroller, but I’m going to hold on the Urban Glide for a bit in case we need to bust it out for the winter.

Seconding the Thule Urban Glide. I have a v2 and it handles super well in the snow. You definitely need bike tires for dirt roads and snow

I have the Thule urban glide and it’s great for snow. I got the car seat adaptor and used it with my kid since birth. They also now sell the basinet attachment in Canada in case you wanted that

r/NewParentsStrollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought?

I knew we would want to do a lot with our kid and wasn’t sure if I should get one stroller to “do it all” or multiple with specific purposes in mind. We ended up getting two, one small super lightweight and one large jogging stroller and I’m so glad we did. The lightweight Nuna Trvl is perfect for the grocery store, coffee shop, mall etc and our jogger (Thule urban glide) is amazing for all our outdoor trips, walks in the park, etc. Instead of having one middle ground, I’m so glad we have two very different options that work for our specific wants. Also we got both on sale so it worked out. The urban glide 2 we got at an REI garage sale for only $280!

I’m really big on buying the stroller you need for your lifestyle. We ended up with a Trvl and I’m so glad we did. It has an extremely comfortable smooth ride but it’s crazy lightweight and maneuverable. We knew we would want to do a lot outdoors and got a Thule urban glide second hand. The Nuna is used so much for all our errands and the jogger is perfect for everything else. I’d ask yourself what are you wanting to do with baby and then go from there

2. We had a Thule Urban Glide 2 which we used for daily walks and excursions. We also had a Summer 3D lite (umbrella stroller) for travel (international).

I have the Thule Urban Glide 2 and love it, only problem is my 2-year-old hates going fast so it doesn’t get much use. If I could do it all over again I would have bought secondhand

Another first time dad here, also a runner. I can't speak about cameras, but I did a huge amount of research on prams, and came to the conclusion, based on watching a bunch of the Stroller Mechanics videos on Youtube, that we really needed to get two prams to suit separate requirements, rather than one pram to do everything. Another little bit of advice I received from a speech pathologist mate of mine, was keeping baby parent facing as long as possible can help with speech development. So our requirements ended up needing a small pram for the car, and a large pram for running and outdoorsy stuff. We ended up buying a Nuna Triv Next, which is a reversible compact pram, which my partner can get in and out of the car easily, and is capable of shops, and paved parks etc. We also got a Maxi Cosi Capsule for the car, which we were able to use with the Nuna with the included adaptors. We used this primarily in the newborn stage, not bothering with a bassinet, and we used a carrier too. While baby was very little, we only needed the one pram, because it's not recommended to run with babies until they're about 6 months old. So I just kept an eye out on marketplace and got a Thule Urban Glide 2 for a very good price. I was able to get some Maxi Cosi adaptors for it, and we were able to use the capsule. In my opinion the Urban Glide series is the best compromise for a decent running pram, while being useful enough to use it as a main pram, especially over rough ground. Our baby is about 8 months old now, and so far the two pram system is working for us, with the Nuna basically living in the car for visits to the shops, and I take baby running nearly every day in the Thule for his afternoon naps.
