Devil's advocate here for the Vista! We went in completely sure we were going to get the Cruz because we thought it was a little absurd to buy a giant stroller for a kid we didn't even have yet, but the Vista V3 and the Cruz V3 are functionally the exact same size and weight, the Vista is just more adaptable. We'd love to have a second kid fairly close to the first, so it didn't end up making sense for us to buy two $900 strollers two years apart, especially when they were so similar. I liked how sturdy the wheels felt on the Vista compared to the slightly smaller strollers and it was just as easy to fold. The Cruz doesn't feel super heavy to me and out of curiosity I googled to see if it's heavier than the smaller Nunas. The Cruz is 27.6 lbs and the Nuna Mixx is 28.3 lbs. If you can, I'd recommend going to a baby store and trying them out, but to me the advantages of the Cruz outweighed the convenience of a smaller stroller, especially when the margins were coming down to less than 2-3 inches and the weights were the same.
We LOVE our Cruz V3!! Super durable but also easy to maneuver. Very much recommend.
We took ours to a festival in a park, and we took it through the grass and dirt there without any issue
We had the exact same debate and went with the Cruz! When we tried the vista in the store, it was configured as a double stroller and we HATED it. It felt so large and bulky. So we figured, if we hated the vista as a double, why spend a bit more money and take up more space with it as a single when we could just get a nice single from the get go? We actually never tried the Cruz in store since they were between models (V2 and V3), so we bought the V3 sight unseen. We have zero regrets! We love our stroller. Feels super study while also being easy to maneuver. 12/10!
Another vote for the UPPAbaby Cruz! Adapters work super well. We love our stroller/car seat combo.
Just want to say that this is the combo we have (Cruz and liing) and love it!!
Hey all, Super overwhelmed by stroller choices. We got the clek liing carseat, one of the reasons being its compatability with multiple strollers (with adapters obviously) but now that choice list still feels a bit long. We tried the Uppababy Cruz V3 at Westcoastkids and really liked it but I'm a bargain girly and can't fathom paying $1200 for a stroller alone. I've seen a couple Cruz V2s on marketplace in the 6-700$ range, but that still feels a bit pricey. Suggestions?? Here's what we're hoping for needs-wise: \- We go on daily walks with the dog (unless it's -15 or lower) and would like to continue when baby's born. \- Sometimes that is in the winter where people put gravel out on the ice, so something to take into account (but could just do a baby carrier at that point??? Idk- perspectives here would be awesome). \- we'd like something that can fold up nicely to put in the vehicle \- storage is a bonus \- something that moves nicely and not like a shopping cart with jenky wheels would be appreciated Don't really want a double stroller necessarily as we don't know if or when child #2 will come, and realistically I've heard toddlers don't love to stay in the stroller anyway so if anything, we'd probably get the standing board. Anyway... reddit has been my saving grace so far so... help??
I just got the Chicco adapter in the mail and tried it on my UB Cruz V3 because I was worried about this! It does fold down, but not quite as flat as it otherwise does without the adapter still attached. There’s the grey latch that is supposed to secure when the stroller is collapsed, and it can’t do so when the Chicco car seat adapter is left on the stroller and folding the stroller. It’s not a huge deal breaker, but kind of annoying in my opinion because the car seat adapter doesn’t come up and off the stroller frame very easily. At least mine doesn’t! I have to wiggle it and pull quite a bit to get it to release. So ideally, I’d leave the adapter on the stroller, that just means it doesn’t quite fold as compactly
So I had this same dilemma recently and was lucky to go into a store in Toronto where the owner gave us her honest thoughts an experience - we ended up with the Cruz V3 and the Aria car seat (was between the liing and the Aria and the aria was on sale at the time and we have to carry the seat down a few flights of stairs so we went with that). Her experience/thoughts: - unless you’re planning on having two very small children the 2 kid configuration often doesn’t get used as much. - she’s had a lot of parents come in for a side by side stroller for 2 kids because the top to bottom is a bit awkward for the bottom kid even if they have the vista, it also gets quite heavy since the uppa baby is a heavier stroller - a lot of people with toddlers end up wearing one kid/getting the ride along or even getting a wagon - if you want the slightly bigger stroller with slightly better features go for it, but the Cruz is a great option if you’re on the fence. Obviously this differs from person to person and we decided that if we saw a need for the double stroller, we’d revaluate later one, and if we did it would probably be something more along the travel end of the spectrum to have something a little more easy to maneuver.
Just got the uppababy Cruz v3 and we are obsessed! I was set on getting the Nuna Mixx Next until I saw that a) Nuna’s customer service sucks and b) the Cruz’s basket holds 30 lbs while the Nuna’s holds 10!
