We started out with a Chico bravo primo which has been great, came with a car seat that clicks in and a base. Think about 600 for everything. Very solid and really nice folding feature for half the price of the uppababy we were looking at. We also looked at the little stroller car seat combo thing but I’m 6’5 and it was way too short for me to comfortably push and had no storage iirc. Lately we don’t need such a large stroller and don’t need the car seat as much since he’s just about sized out of it height wise. So I picked up a uppababy Gluxe which is a very small form stroller that takes up much less space. No car seat compatibility but I don’t need that anymore. Think it was 200 new or like 170 open box on Amazon. Love it so far. My main issue is traveling. We did about 12 flights this past year between 6 months and 18 months of life for our son. I refuse to check bags. So the combo seat stroller was great. As soon as he hits 2 this summer I will likely pick up a way B to go with our new small form stroller so we can continue not checking bags.

We have an Uppababy Gluxe and travelled so well with it (10 cities across Asia, Europe and Mexico with infant). Went down far enough for on the go naps, big canopy, decent storage below and was sturdier than some of the really light, tiny strollers I was looking at. We hung bags off it from shopping and had no issues. Big wheels make a difference on certain terrains.

So I have the 2012 and the 2024 versions. First one is 11lbs and 2nd is 16lbs. It's an umbrella stroller so it collapses easy, stands up and has a built in strap if you need to carry it up and down stairs. The standing up is great if you're in a restaurant and need it to have a small footprint. The extended canopy is a must to shade from sun or rain (we also had rain cover). I really loved my hand me down 2012 one, hence I bought a newer version which ironically I don't even need cause it's still going strong. It was also on sale from UB for $200, which you can't beat for price point and quality of UB. I love my Cruz but I can barely lift it into my trunk, let alone imagine dragging it with me to cities that have tiny elevators or no accessibility options.

I have a Cruz for everyday but also a gluxe for travel. Still very comfy for naps and has nice huge cover. Was gifted a gluxe 2nd hand for traveling thinking it would die on our many treks across Asia and Mexico. Still going strong but I did buy a new one for $200 on sale. Sturdy, reliable and I really like it. Folds up like an umbrella and stands too.

I’d recommend Nuna. Super easy to install, buckle, and manage. I like a travel system, but for the first year only. Once you get past that, your priorities shift and it becomes more about having something that is compact and easy for on-the-go. That’s been my experience for all three of my kids. Maybe it doesn’t bother others as much? When you’re finished with the travel system, the Uppababy GLuxe is a great lightweight option.

We took our 20 month old in an umbrella stroller. But if you do an umbrella, and i definitely recommend them in Italy, esp Rome, it has to be a solid one. We had an uppababy umbrella stroller (great wheels and shocks), which did AMAZING on all the Rome cobblestone. Also folds up super small in restaurants and easy on trains. Was also great to recline the baby while siteseeing or when we had late dinners and the baby was sleeping. That stroller incredibly made it through over 20 cobblestone cities throughout Italy and Spain over the course of 5 years. We couldn't believe the wheels still hadn't come off! (This is not a paid advertisement lol) PS. Carrier is fine (I brought one too) but wore it maybe once because the stroller was too easy and comfortable. I used the carriecarre time when climbing a very narrow spiral staircase in Florence but never used it again for that first trip.

We had both Vista and GLuxe. Our baby disliked being in a stroller so our Vista was only used 10 times. We bought the umbrella stroller for travel and it wound up being a shopping cart. The baby enjoyed being carried and we loved holding her. Moral of the story is not to get too swept up with the marketing aspect of a stroller. You’re really looking at a few years before the baby turns into a toddler who wants to walk/run on their own. A 2nd hand stroller is a fantastic value.

We have the uppababy g-luxe (on our third kid) and it is a great one for travel and regular outings. We use an infancy carrier clip in frame until we move into a convertible seat (around 10ish months for our kids usually) and then into the bigger stroller. But it does have a reclined position so you could probably use it from 6+ months

with my first I had a Graco travel system and it was such garbage. we used it for about 2 months before we got a baby jogger stroller and a maxi cosi convertible car seat. when she was a bit older we got the uppa baby g-luxe and it was amazingggg. so i knew right away this time to go uppa baby after having the trial and errors i had with my daughter.

Graco is junk! I kept my Graco system for like 3 months before upgrading it with my daughter. I had an Uppababy and Maxi Cosi combo after that so I went right to Uppababy on my registry this time around. I refuse to buy crap again to just upgrade later!

What do people with tall kids do about strollers? My 2.5yo daughter is 97th percentile for height and barely squeezing into what I consider to be an XL stroller - the Uppababy ridge. She's the height of an average 4 year old. Her head is already bumping into the canopy. She is a good walker, but can't reliably do the 2km to/from daycare, at least not in a reasonable amount of time. Is there a super tall kids stroller that I'm missing out on? We tested a stroller wagon last year and didn't love it because it was hard to get up and down curbs, and I couldn't push it with one hand.

We have an Uppababy G-luxe umbrella stroller but I definitely can't push it with one hand. It's old and secondhand so not sure if it's the model or the age.

Just had our 2nd. When my 1st was born, we got the UB Vista because we knew we wanted more kids. Our travel is the UB G-lux. Woth the Vista, I will say that the big downside is that the back wheels are so wide. That can be prohibitive, depending on where you are.

We have the Uppa Baby G-Luxe because it was lighter weight than the Graco Modes we were gifted when he was a newborn (which was great then and I am wondering if it will be better as he gets older? We'll see) and then the Doona which is a convertible car seat. All three were gifts.
