Yeah mine is a 2013 model I bought used in 2022 and it still looks new. They are heavy but durable.

we got an upper baby used. 2014 model we got in 2022 for child 1. has lasted and is now being used for child 2. quality lasts. if you can get a quality brand at an affordable price used thst might be better than a similarly priced new, but lower quality model.

I have a Bumbleride and an Uppababy and honestly, if I had to have just one I’d go with the Uppababy with the newborn insert. The bumbleride is great but just very heavy and bulky! We did a Nuna car seat because I liked the materials. We did an Uppababy stroller and I feel great about it, I think that it’s one of those things that’s worth being moderate about, personally.

If you are doing high end like UppaBaby, second hand is the way to go. We got one that was 9 years old for $50, replaced all the fabric to make it new, and it works perfectly and I don't care about walking it out in the rain and snow (city walkers). We also had a smaller travel stroller and started with Yoyo. Hated it. The wheels tremor if you walk too fast and there is 0 storage underneath. There are much better options now and we are happier with the Bugaboo butterfly. Similar size, weight, and much better storage. Almost all travel stroller lay kind of flat and don't sit upright which is frustrating for my kiddo who likes to sit upright. But the travel stroller is amazing for trips. Also agree with what others said. Think about how much you will really use it. In the city, the stroller is our car, it's how we get anywhere so under storage and size really matter for grocery shopping. My SIL in the suburbs splurged on a new UppaBaby and after 2 kids it's like brand new because they just don't use it.

UppaBaby will last forever, don't worry about wearing it down. We got ours as a hand me down, it was 10 years old and we have been using it for 3; it still works so damn well. We live in a city so use it for miles a day. We replaced the wheels and fabric but I am so glad I got a used one because I have no qualms about taking it out in the rain or snow. I don't think I would need it in the suburbs.

We have had a (2010-2014) vista for 10+ years, across multiple kids. It’s taken a beating. It’s great for shopping. It sucks if you have to carry it up the stairs on a non-accessible subway. We’ve chucked it in the back of Ubers, we’ve navigated crowded spaces (honestly, the vista wheelbase is about an inch wider than convenient), we’ve taken it up ancient Roman steps, dragged it across sandy beaches, and checked it as a luggage. We wore down the tires to the absolute base (there are multiple layers of rubber/felt/padding in the wheels), and then finally reached out to UppaBaby in frustration for replacement wheels, only to find out they had a special reserve, and we have an extra seat. We plan on giving it a Vikings funeral when it’s done.

I have the uppa baby vista with the piggy back but ended up getting a Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 with their ride along attachment and love it. I got it for airports because it’s much smaller and better for rental cars (I have three kids and often travel with grandparents… space is premium). I use it more than the uppa baby now. The ride along attachment is a little trickier to get on and off quickly, but just takes some practice. Uppa baby does have a lot more storage underneath, which I do miss sometimes with the baby jogger and could be a consideration for Disney. Baby jogger is easier to collapse in my opinion.

Mine are 2 and 3 and we have 4 strollers still although we just sold out Vista double this year. We have a Veer XL wagon as well as two Cybex travel strollers. I also have kept our Doona since we plan to have a third baby

I think most of the ones that transform start as a single so you don't have to buy the double stroller parts right away. I would consider if you prefer the vertical double stroller or the side by side. Definitely different. I also second the stroller wagon. I use my cheaper stroller wagon way more than my Vista set up as a double stroller. The wagon fits better in the car and is more comfortable to maneuver.

I have the Vista, which was my main stroller with my first (20 month gap), and got a double Thule to run with after my second was born. They’re great strollers and serve different purposes. If you’ve got the resources and space, get both. I’m happy I’ve got both.

It’s fine! The Thule is way more maneuverable, but the Vista is so much easier to get in/out of the car and is super useful for errands. I really liked it when youngest was just born because I could easily remove the second seat for walks with the baby. The toddler is happy with it, though I need to switch his rumble seat with the baby’s regular seat because he’s getting too tall. Resisting because change is hard! And a bonus with the Vista is that it’s helpful to separate them when the toddler gets handsy. The Vista isn’t perfect, but I don’t think anything is, really. It does check nearly all of your boxes, as it did for me. Ultimately, it’s been fantastic, particularly alongside the double Thule.

We went to Buy Buy Baby (RIP) and pushed around a bunch of strollers. We knew we wanted a convertible-to-two stroller, narrowing our options, and we loved the UPPAbaby. It pushed like butter—it was so smooth. It was expensive, but it’s much more reasonable broken down into a per-use cost (we’ve used it almost every single day since our eldest was born 2.5 years ago). And, honestly, it felt like a good use of money. It’s been a great stroller, and as we’ve bought more for other purposes (a jogging stroller and umbrella strollers for the baby for daycare drop off), I continue to love it.

You might try asking in r/bigbabiesandkids My (large) kiddos fit nicely in both a Vista and Thule Urban Glide 3 double. That said, my toddler is going to outgrow the Vista well before the Thule.

I think it'll depend who you ask. For me it was mandatory, but both my kids don't mind the pram and my eldest was a runner. So it was a huge part of my safety in the toddler years with him, as whenever we would go out I would put him in the pram if I had a concern about him running off/getting lost. Even now at nearly 4 he would happily jump in when given the chance! I've been using my Vista daily for 4 years, and as a double for nearly 2.5years. We always go for walks, I take it to any cafe, on every walk, shopping trip etc its with me nearly any time I leave the house unless we are going to the grocery store where the kids can go in a trolley, or we have my husband who can help carry and wrangle the kids. Whereas a friend of mine found neither of her kids would sit in the pram after 1yo, so in that instance I don't think she even used her single pram that much really.
