I love my Cadillac Escalade ESV and am leaning towards the Vista stroller haha. I know newborn/postpartum is a gamble but I workout regularly and at 6mo pregnant no issues flinging the stroller around while I was in the store. I practiced lifting it up and down, holding it off the ground for a short period of time, etc.
r/Buyingforbaby • Is UppaBaby Vista3 really that bulky? ->Depends on the size of your car, if you want to deal with attachments to use other brand strollers, the terrain of where you plan on using the stroller primarily, storage you want in the stroller, height of both parents, strength of parents folding and picking up the stroller, etc. I am getting the UB Aria + UB Vista. I messed with attachments in the store and I hated having to do that. I have an Escalde ESV so trunk space is not an issue. And where we live and what we do, we need something more of a "tank" as compared to smaller, compact travel type strollers. We are 5'7 and 6' and workout/lift regularly and our work requires us to lift heavy things often.
r/NewParents • Is there stroller that goes with uppa baby aria ? ->uppababy vista v3 for sure <3 we love ours. got the bassinet attachment and stand too so we can move baby around without waking him up
r/BabyBumps • Strollers? Single to double, single, or travel? ->Got the same stroller as well! Totally fits our lifestyle and converts to double. I know lots of people complain about it was a double but where I live, it’s 80% of the strollers you see everywhere. I see a lot of Cruz and Minu’s too for singles
r/BabyBumps • Single/double stroller ->Absolutely worth it for our lifestyle - people forget this isn’t a travel stroller lol
r/UninfluencedReviews • Is the UppaBaby Vista Stroller worth it? ->That’s exactly it! Sometimes the vista gets so much hate but I’m like people are buying it for the wrong reason! Not the strollers fault lol
r/UninfluencedReviews • Is the UppaBaby Vista Stroller worth it? ->1000% agreed. I’m a mall walker and I’ll be using it as my grocery cart too. I love it
r/UninfluencedReviews • Is the UppaBaby Vista Stroller worth it? ->If you can keep it downstairs, then the Vista is excellent. It is so smooth even on bumpy sidewalks and off the path in parks. The basket is huge, so you can do nice grocery hauls or spend all day outside without having to hold your bags. It’s our everyday stroller, and I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve used it on the train as well; it’s totally fine for elevators but heavy if you have to carry it. I do have a travel stroller (Colugo) as well, and while I like it for out of town, it isn’t great on bumpy sidewalks or street construction.
r/nycparents • Stroller advice ->Honestly, we’ve loved the Vista. We walk multiple miles a day, and you can’t beat it for durability, storage, and longevity. The infant car seat clicks into the frame, so it’s really easy to use for Ubers as needed. We used on a plane and gate checked the stroller frame while using the car seat on the plane itself, and that worked great. The only thing that’s challenging is the size/weight if you’re taking the train—be sure to check the MTA site for accessible stations and elevator status. We have a travel stroller (Colugo) and basically never use it.
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->Depends on the stroller system you have. We have an Uppababy Vista, and we used the Mesa car seat. It’s so easy to install baseless, so we used it in several cabs and on 2 flights. It snaps into the stroller base, so you just use that as the stroller seat when you leave the cab. That said, if you don’t want to deal with the car seat on the ride home from the hospital, Kid Car is awesome. They do background checks on their drivers and install their car seats based upon your needs. It only cost like $20 more than an Uber for us, and the driver was probably the kindest, safest driver I’ve ever had in New York. One caveat: you do have to reserve 2 hours in advance, but that’s easy enough because you know when you’re being discharged. For us, it was worth taking the stress off our plate for that ride.
r/nycparents • Car Seat for the Carless? ->Live in Eastern Queens. Have a Vista and it’s a beast/huge. It’s like the SUV of strollers, used it through different neighborhoods in all 5 boroughs and different terrains outside the city during pumpkin and apple picking times/easy trails. When our kid was around 20 months we got a hand down GB Pockit stroller for the times she didn’t want to walk or for city/travel use. The smaller Cruz/Minu may be better for a one fits all solution.
r/nycparents • Stroller advice any recommendations? ->Sounds good to me if you can afford it and you can switch between the two for the purpose of the day. The Vista is big and heavy and has attachments for more children. It’s like an SUV of strollers, heavy duty and can carry a lot of stuff. And should be fine walking around the neighborhood. We live in Queens and used in a variety of neighborhoods from LIC/Jackson Heights/Bayside to the other boroughs as well. Used it as our only stroller for the first year and a half. Car seat wise - Ubers have a car seat option but you have to plan - wait longer/set a pick up time. And be able to close your Vista and lift it to the back if you need the Vista capacity. We had no problem going around Manhattan with the Vista, but have a car and drive with the stroller in the back. If you use subways then you gotta plan and make sure the stations have elevators (I think Google maps has an accessibility feature that plans out the subway routes with elevators). Doona maybe a little lighter so you and your husband can separate it and help each other carrying it up and down. We didn’t fly until she was over 1 year but we were handed down a GB Pockit travel stroller that worked well in Europe, in a few cities, bus and trains. Now if we don’t need the carrying capacity or ruggedness of the Vista we just use that here. The Doona should be good as the second smaller stroller for the first year to be mobile around the city. Few of my friends had it and traveled with it. Don’t have to buy and carry a travel car seat to fly (which we had to do) until they outgrow it. Only thing the Doona I thought was weird was how low it was and we’re not even tall.
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->Uppababy Vista plus Nuna Pipa RX and TRVL. I definitely used the TRVL more for the first 4 months or so. It weighs nothing! I also had a C section and didn’t have any trouble lifting it. I use the Vista for neighborhood walks and longer outings. It’s getting much more use now that baby is sitting up and super alert.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I actually got the vista and totally regret lol. It’s way too big! We basically exclusively use it for walks at home. We got a travel stroller that we take in the car to stores/on trips etc. minu would’ve been the perfect inbetween and we wouldn’t have needed two strollers!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->The vista is a beast, if you’ll be going in and out of the car a lot I’d consider something lighter! I ended up with 2 strollers, 1 light weight travel stroller we keep in the car (yoyo) and the vista which we use strictly for neighbourhood walks (all sidewalks), it’d do fine on dirt roads though. If you need all terrain (trails etc) I wouldn’t get the vista.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->It’s nearly 30 pounds! Frame alone is 20. It’s more that it’s super bulky and awkward to lift. It doesn’t feel heavy pushing or anything just lifting
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->Stroller yes, vista no lol. That thing is a beast. I’d look for a travel stroller on marketplace if you can!
r/Parenting • Turns 3 in two months - do you air travel with a stroller? ->Adhd here too! I found going to store really helped. Found one I loved then obviously had to check out every other brand that exists to make sure nothing was better. Uppababy vista v3 with maxi cosi pebble car seat isofix. Cybex also good.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I have the v3 and love it. It’s so smooth! And I love all the storage space! I pack it in my car every week and take my baby to the mall. It’s super easy to fold down. Maybe I’m just used to it because it’s the only stroller I’ve ever had but I don’t find the bulkiness a problem. Putting it in the car and taking it out isn’t heavier than carrying a toddler. The only issue I’ve ran into is it’s not the best at some stores because you can’t get through if the aisles are narrow but that’s not a big deal to me.
r/Buyingforbaby • Is UppaBaby Vista3 really that bulky? ->We got the uppababy vista v3 because we live in NYC and will walk ALOT so needed something very sturdy! I don’t think it’s too heavy but then again, we don’t put it in and out of a car very often. You can get them cheap on fb marketplace usually!!
r/BabyBumps • Alright let’s talk strollers ->Uppababy Vista v3. Love mine. Literally 0 complaints, it’s amazing!
