r/BabyBumpsAm I being naive in wanting an absolute UNICORN of a stroller? Or do I just need to accept that I actually need three strollers?

I think the Valco Trend 4 Ultra (or possibly just the trend 4) might fit the bill. I have the double version and it does great on uneven terrain especially if you upgrade to the "sport" wheels and it's only 19lbs so wouldn't be terrible to take on an airplane. There's a bassinet mode (not quite a true one but lays flat) and they have either universal carseat adapters (so you could get whatever you want) or ones for Maxi-Cosi/Nuna/Cybex which make a flame retardent free one. Their website has it at like $500ish bucks right now but that's without the adapters or car seat.

Yep I'm using a ring adapter on a Valco with an UPPAbaby car seat and it works great

I would not recommend Valco Baby. The front wheel snapped off the Valco Baby Snap Ultra Trend I was using almost lurching to the ground with my kid along with it. The company “customer service” was passive aggressive and unhelpful, and refused to send a replacement as the pram is out of warranty (2 years max!) My only option is to buy a whole new set of four wheels for nearly $200CAD. Beware any company that cannot be reached by phone. These strollers are lightweight for a reason - they are garbage. An $800+ stroller should withstand normal use for more than two years. My uppababy is over ten years old and been through four kids and held up fine.

There’s a huge range but for example Valco ultra and city mini gt are both mid range and fine but not as good as bugaboo.

r/toddlersToddler car seat for Ubers that works with a stroller?

When traveling we bring our Cosco scenera (super lightweight!) and valco snap trend stroller (this is our regular stroller). We put the foot rest on the stroller all the way up and it actually goes past parallel so it makes a shelf that leans the car seat back into the stroller. We have used a luggage strap to attach it to the stroller in the past but I find it stays put just fine. Obviously ymmv but it works great for us!

Valco snap - one hand all in one fold, lightweight, can upgrade the tyres for off-road. I LOVE mine. Affordable, easy, good quality. Can highly recommend

r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAuThinking of Getting the Uppababy Vista — Honest Reviews?

I have had my vista for 6 years and absolutely love it. I love the giant basket in particular. Main issue is that it feels heavy to drive in double mode. But it’s fantastic in single mode. It’s like a single pram that can be made into a double. Whereas the donkey (I bought a secondhand one when I had two kids in the pram) feels like a double pram that has a single mode. Unless you’re having twins or kids super close together I would also put the Cruz on your radar with the view to potentially get a separate side by side pram. Something I have changed since first starting parenting is getting things for a potential future we don’t yet know. We changed so many things so often (e.g moving from a house, to an apartment, to a house and then back to an apartment 😅, and also kids were further apart than I expected) I would recommend getting the best thing for *right now* and considering things like being able to convert to double mode as maybe a tie breaker when choosing between two great options. We have actually used the vista fully, we’ve had a lot of years where we were close enough to walk to the supermarket and I fully loaded that basket, to the extra length was something we used. But not necessarily something we needed considering I didn’t need to use double mode as much as I thought and I didn’t love it. We also had a valco there for a little bit and while it didn’t drive as nicely as the bugaboo, it had quite a few features I loved, like lay-flat seats and an amazing canopy. So that’s another great options that’s a bit cheaper for if you want a side by side laterx

Valcobaby is a good budget option. We got one and it’s still going strong after four years.

r/parentsofmultiplesDoes anyone love the Bugaboo Donkey after the 1st year?

We did the Valco from birth (with 4lb twins). We live in a car centric suburb so the weight and foldability of the Valco took precedence over parent facing or bassinets (We didn't bother with bassinets but I know some people care) As with all stroller posts, lifestyle > everything

I would throw the Valco baby strollers into the mix. The big wheels really help me with stairs and uneven pavement.
