I agree with all of this right down to experience with the valco triple! Except I have never even tried a wagon because of concerns that they would be exactly like you mentioned. Runner up to bob is city mini gt double.

I've tried every combo. Every one. Valco duo tri mode with a joey seat is great for lower weight limits, but my go to is wearing the newborn and pushing a double bob with the two older ones. I've had wagons but they're either flimsy or really heavy and hard to push. I've taken double bob everywhere, including through multiple airports. It's amazing and sturdy.

My singleton was 16 months when I had my twins. I had the Valco Baby Tri Mode stroller with the Joey seat, but I’m not sure they make it anymore. We got it used for $100 and it worked pretty well from the time my babies were newborns til they were about 1.5, then we switched to a stroller wagon. I’d recommend checking Facebook marketplace!

Side by side, Valco makes amazing ones. All the stacked ones (Vista, mockingbird) are like trying to drive a boat, are nearly impossible to get into a car and require the smaller kid to be on the bottom which is just dumb.

Side by side. Tandems feel like trying to drive a boat and they handle like absolutely garbage. Plus your eldest will be in and out more and that is gonna be a pain cause they have to be the one closer and higher up. Valco is a fantastic side by side brand. Absolutely love mine.

I got a side by side because I tried using the single to double for like a week (Vista) and damn did that thing suck as a double. Steered like a boat, couldn't see my youngest on the bottom and had to practically dismantle the whole thing to get it in my outback. Got a Valco side by side and love that thing so much

I do all three (I watch my nephew weekdays so need to have the ability to do 3 which only that wagon manages) and if I had to pick only one with two kids I'd go double side by side stroller that you can clip a car seat into. The one I have (Valco) it's quite light weight and very easy to get in and out of the car. It's also easy to push and thin enough I can get it through most doors (it's as wide as a standard wheelchair so the ADA makes it so I can take it most places) Whatever you do don't get a top/bottom double. They all steer like shit once you've got two kids in them

Not all are sized the same. Valco is slim and I can get it through the vast majority of doorways in Boston

Honestly the Yoyo with the 0+ pack looks like it would work from birth especially since it can be used with a car seat. I used my mountain buggy nano pretty much from birth with my second if I was just me and her and going back i would have just gone single travel stroller from day one. My vista was huge and bulky and while it was kind of convenient for grocery shopping beyond that bit of a pain. I might get just that stroller and then if it's not enough get a bigger one at that point

Yep I'm using a ring adapter on a Valco with an UPPAbaby car seat and it works great

The setup is just stupid, you need to have the baby on the bottom and the toddler on top so then you can't see the baby and you've got to lift the toddler in vs them being able to get in and out on their own. If you do put the toddler on the bottom then it handles like absolute garbage cause the weight distribution is wrong. Even set up correctly it still feels like driving a boat cause it's so long It's absolutely huge. It took me a good 5 min to get it in the car each time (vs 30 seconds with my side by side) because unless you've got a pickup or SUV you'll need to pretty much disassemble it to get it in the car (and even then you need to have the seats exactly right or they run into one another) I had mine setup as a double for exactly 2 weeks before I went "f this" and got a valco

I was ride or die for my Valco Twin stroller. Side by side but fit through a standard doorway, huge basket, massive sunshade for each seat, seats recline almost flat and are safe for newborns, very light for a legit stroller. Seats were also huge too so my 98% kiddo used until 6. I took that thing to multiple countries and can’t say enough good things.

I didn’t like the concept of stacking for when they got older and I wanted one stroller to last until they were done. We got the Valco baby duo and I loved it so much, fit through every doorway. I liked it so much I got a single one for my singleton on the way.

Side by side Valco duo fit in every doorway. Loved that stroller.

The valco duo was great even in stores. We lived in a city and used it everywhere. It was big enough to have room for both but narrow enough to fit through pretty much every door and aisle
