I have the switchback! There's soooo few reviews on it so let me know if you have any questions! I'll outline some of my thoughts here tho. My girl is 6 months and we've been using it daily since birth. - overall I love this stroller. It tackles terrain SO WELL. - the bassinet is great- I love the bug screen built into it. We actually used it as a nap space on our floor a lot when she was a newborn so it was multi purpose for us. Downside is the sun shade on it isn't huge and doesn't flip sides, so they're in direct sun 50% of the walk. - we used it with car seat adapters a lot when she was 2-4 months - basket is huge. I can do a lot of errands as it as the cart. - it's heavy but not brutal. Thay said, I did purchase a joolz aer+ for my day to day now that she's 6 months and can sit upright because hauling it in and out of the trunk for every stop isn't fun - I bought the leather handles, leather bumper bar cover and the beige seat color pack. It makes it look wayyyy nicer and feels great. Such a nice sun shade on the lux switchback seat - I haven't ran with it yet as shes not old enough, but I plan to and have no concerns it'll hold up well - the company is awesome. I bought the stroller second hand and didn't get the straps that turn the seat into a booster seat for restaurants from the previous owner. I emailed veer and asked if I could buy new straps (explained I bought used) and they shipped me new straps for free! - overall I really recommend if you're looking for an active outdoor stroller. The suspension is awesome, I love how we can hose it down, customer service is great, I love that the bassinet was multi purpose for us, the switchback seat is awesome as it can be used as a booster and face both ways, and the veer add ons and accessories are so good. I'm totally getting a veer wagon and adding the switchback seat onto that once she's older and we are doing things like zoo days, park days, beach etc. That said, I have 0 knowledge about Thule so I can't say which is better!
Jogging stroller for outside and travel stroller for errands is the best combo IMO. We have a Veer jogger and a Joolz Aer that stays in the car. I love them both for their purpose but would hate them both if I expected them to do it all as a single stroller.
I have a veer for walks and it's fantastic.
Felt the same way when I was researching. I ultimately decided on the following set up. Joie Nutmeg and Mint Latch Infant Car Seat - affordable and great reviews - this will be my quick in the car and on the go stroller . I also really like that the seat has a bassinet mode and not another $200/300 attachment needed. This set up and price tag allows me to have a bigger budget for a convertible carseat which will last years compare to 6 months before it gets too heavy. Veer Jogger - this is more so for our lifestyle and where we live - this will be my stroller for the house and big planned day outings. I like the versatility of this jogger. All of my friends started with a big travel system stroller that grows with the family, but have all switched to a travel stroller as its more convenient. I did not worry about a stroller that converts to 2. Once baby #2 comes along im sure we will be a wagon stroller family or a side by side two kid stroller.
I just ditched my Bumbleride era for a BOB. The Era was great when my baby was small, but the seat does not sit upright enough for him now, and it doesn’t have a snack tray. I also really liked the Veer jogging stroller in the store! The Thule was the same recline angle as the Bumbleride era, and the Uppababy ridge is similar. The only fully upright ones I found were the BOB and Veer! Just something to consider for as your baby gets older.
Yes and now I’m on my third stroller 😂 I did a ton of research and ended up with a Bumbleride era, which was good for the baby days, but I really don’t like it now with the toddler. So, I bought a second hand BOB stroller. I also don’t like my bugaboo butterfly, but we don’t travel much and hardly ever use it. Both the era and butterfly seats are similar and way too reclined for a toddler who wants to see everything, and neither have a snack tray! Edit to add, I think the perfect stroller for us would be the Veer, but I can’t justify the price new and have never seen one come up on marketplace (yet). And I also hate our bugaboo giraffe and wish we just got the IKEA highchair 😂
Veer also makes a stroller which I tried in person and LOVED (but this was after I bought the BOB and I just couldn’t justify 4 strollers lol)
These are exactly the two we were deciding between as well. First I’ll say that we likely would have been super happy with either choice. We ultimately went with the Thule for the following reasons: adjustable handlebar (we are short and Thule is more ergonomic), comfortability with fixing air tires (husband cycles and has all the tools if a quick fix is needed), the switchback seat on Veer is smaller and if LO is anything like his dad, he is going to be too broad shouldered for a smaller seat. We prefer aesthetics of Thule’s bassinet accessory. At first we really wanted the Veer switch back so we can transfer accessories to the beach wagon. But ultimately decided the beach wagon from Veer is not going to fit our currently beaching style. I think Veer has the bigger lower basket if you think you’ll be storing a lot. That’s all! That’s how close the two decision were and it really just came down to minor details.
Adding in that based on your terrain preferences, I would do Veer because you can hose it down outside and done. The Thule you’ll need to take off and wash. And the air tires on Thule might be an issue if the gravel punctures the wheel.
My husband and I bought a Nuna car seat and Veer Switchback stroller. That was a VERY pretty penny.
You should check out the Veer Switchback Strollers. Perfect for what you've described! They are all-terrain and luxurious at the same time. Tons of accessories to customize. You can use with your car seat and they have a bassinet option as well. You can ship it for free to see if you like it.
I would look at Veer's Switchback Strollers. They are designed for all-terrain, super smooth, hose washable, rugged wheels and still look so good for indoor use. The jogger also has a reversible seat, which I think is the only one I've seen.
